The hotel employee who was at the front dek for our check in was awesome. He made us feel at home and even gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner. He made the stay very enjoyable. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. We will stay there again.

We were quite surprised, because we have stayed in Best Western Motels before and was very disappointed with the cleanliness and comfortable surroundings, bed, bathroom, smell etc. We were prepared just in case we had to complain in order to get a restful night's sleep-thankfully all we could say was aweeeee! The staff was very courteous, the room was very clean and had a great smell, that bath was just what we needed. Thank you Hartwell - please continue this thoughtfulness and attention to details.

Great hotel, a little out of the hussle of Clemson however you do need to know that it is about 11 miles from the school. All in all the hotel was centrally located for what I needed. the staff was great and the room was ready early and was very comfortable.

I booked a non-smoking room and when we checked in on Friday night after driving 5 hours we were put in a smoking (very very smokey) room. We were told that the hotel overbooked and that was all they had.We were also told that when you book online that you are not guaranteed what you request. Said that we could talk to management in the a.m. In the […] a.m. we were told that the manager did not come in until 12 pm. Because of two universities in the area starting all hotels were booked. Great location, beautiful lobby, good breakfast and waitstaff was friendly. Got in late and pulled down bed covers, it honestly looked like the bed sheets were replaced from the previous guest. Had accidentally scheduled the wrong date of our stay. While Expedia was able to move our reservation to the correct date, their confirmation process with the hotel was poor. Hotel staff were very patient with Expedia and got us into our rooms efficiently despite the hold-up.

We only stay at Hilton Hotels and we were so disappointed. There were no perks to this Hilton that we have found at other Hilton Hotels. It was just the run of the mill hotel with the Hilton name. We drove an extra hour out of our way to stay at the Hilton. Sad to say BIG mistake.

I had made reservations through hotels.com for 2 rooms non smoking with 2 queen beds. When I checked in only 1 room had been reserved, so our rooms had to be switched around. They put us in 1 room with 2 queen beds & it was not a non smoking room so therefore there was an odor in the room. The other room was suppose to be a king suite with a pullout […] bed, which was not the case. I went down & told the front desk & she looked at me like i was crazy but she seen where she had messed up so she sent up a rollaway bed. I would never stay here again. Highest priced hotel in town and definitely not worth of the Hilton name. Seems everything went wrong from check-in. First to room keys didn't work, then was checked into a handicapped room. Blow dryer didn;t work and was not replaced until the next day. The shower, which was a hand held type, was broken and dangling. […] I was promised it would be fixed the next day as well, but was never taken care of over my 3 nights there. Slowest, and I mean the slowest elevators on the face of the earth. And the hotel restaurant, Sona....AWFUL..AWFUL...AWFUL. We had a large table..One would think they would give extra special service...Not a chance. FOUR steaks were sent back because they were way overcooked. The NY Strip looked like they went to a Ponderosa and ordered them to go. The wine list was a joke. I had better wine in my room. Front desk was totally useless. Trust me, stay somewhere else. The staff was very professional and polite. However, the problem I had was with the firm, hard bed in our room. The bed had no give at all and it hurt my back. Had requested a non-smoking room when reservations were made. When we arrived a non-smoking room was not available for our two night stay. Hotel was booked due to local college football team staying at hotel and other guests attending the game. Had to sleep with window open during our stay and there was a lot of highway noise . Nice hotel, very clean and quiet. The hotel gave us vouchers for free breakfast in the hotel restaurant after a fire alarm emptied everyone into the parking lot at 2am. The food was excellent, cooked to order.

The hotel is nice and just off the freeway. Turning onto the road from the freeway is a bit of a hassle as it is a farily busy road with no stoplight. On the same street they have Fudruckers and a Russel Stover candy store. The room was clean with nice furniture. The pool is a little small but it is indoors.
