"Choose another option if available."
This was our only option, but we moved after the first night. The manager/owners were very nice and accomodating. However, the place is rundown. Didn't feel comfortable leaving my computer/valuables in our room as the door didn't seem very secure. When we arrived, the parking lot was full and we had to park on the street which I wasn't thrilled about. […] But, no problems. It was one of the cheaper options in town, but you get what you pay for. We moved to another hotel the next day on Monterey, closer to the college/downtown and it was well-worth the additional money. "Not worth the money"
We stayed a saturday in July. Not worth its price at all. Location made us book it. No ekstra service at the hotel. Nice lady in the reception.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Calpoly"
Proximity may be the only big thing in this place. If your expectations for a low priced motel room is low enough, you may find this place acceptable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was clean. Parking was awful. Not enough parking spots for all the guests. Close to the freewayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Needs updating, service limited"
This is an older hotel that has not been updated. The outside door to our room was scratched up and hadn't been painted in years. The bathroom was small. There were wood floors, which were a bit slippery with socks on. The bathroom was small. Everything was very clean, though. Shortly after we checked in, the door opened (with a key) and a maintenance […] guy looked surprised to see us there. He hadn't knocked. When we checked out at 7 AM there was no one in the office, and I put the key in a small slot. The breakfast was just coffee, juice, and muffins, no place to sit and eat. "won't do it again"
The price for this hotel was reasonable but it was horrible! The room smelled like roach spray..the floor there was bits of trash around the room ..there was hair in the shower area..breakfast was not appealing at all..It wad also very noisy..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"New Mattresses fair neighborhood wi fi"
Next to many restaurants, 1 block from park, easy to get to, grocery store near by, microwave and clean and working fridge in room, pool, laundry machines, wood floors, older chairs need cleaned or replaced, AC old school but worked, breakfast is sweets, OJ, or coffee. Great Mexican breakfast burritos a few buildings up for about $7.00 that can feed […] two. I will stay here again as a single woman but not walk around at night. Staff was just amazing and friendly has heck. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Checked in with a very pleasant person NANCY,super nice and a great sense of humor . Gave great directiionsw and recoommended a great resturant for INDIAN FOOD ( THE FOOD WAS GREAT), I WILL DEFINITE LY STAY THERE AGAIN ANY TIME I AM IN SAN LUIS OBIS BO.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Ok amenities, good location"
The breakfast may only consist of muffins and cereal, but we love to be able to bring our dog here. Our room was clean, the staff is nice and it's in a good location (walkable to downtown). You won't find anything fancy here but you shouldn't expect to in a 2 star hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Way over rated...."
This hotel was far from what I expected, especially for the price. I travel a lot and rarely do I end up in a place of such low quality. The stay was valued at half of what I paid. The air conditioner blew cool at best. My feet where cleaner before I took my shower than after having walked around barefoot on the carpet. The vynol on the bathroom floor […] was coming up on all 4 sides in addition to a hole in the wall near the shower. In addition to mold in the bathroom. The desk, which was that cheap particle board crap you order and put together at home was coming apart. Looked like it was bought at a garage sale for 10 bucks. When we checked out and looked under the beds for lost items, we found a rather large green grape and some M&M's...... One of the bed spreads had somewhat large burn holes in it. Breakfast at 7am was stale muffins. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good Location for a quick stay"
This hotel is ok if you're not expecting much. Noisy and rooms need to be updated. Location is right off of the freeway and is close to attractions in SAn Luis Obispo.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Over priced but clean and updated."
We stayed for one Saturday night in June, so the cost was high, but the room was decent enough. The bathroom looked recently updated. Air conditioner worked great. The parking lot fills up when completely booked, found the last parking spot at 11pm when we returned to the hotel. Continental breakfast was just muffins cut into quarters and coffee, but […] we went to the Modonna Inn just down the freeway from there. There is also a Tace Bell and Jack-in-the-Box right across the street if desired. Would stay here again if in the area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not As Nice As It Used to Be"
Nice desk service but very outdated bathroom. Beds okay and easy walk to downtown.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great service & friendly staff, close to downtown."
Cons: The room was close to a busy street, so there was a lot of traffic noise. Perhaps you could request a room by the pool to reduce the noise. Took me a few showers to figure out how to get the water temps right. Pros: Other guests not heard after 10 pm. Staff was very friendly. Loved that they have real feather pillows. Having a refrigerator and […] microwave in the room was very convenient. We picked it because it is walking distance to downtown. We enjoyed our stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Our stay was Terrible! We paid 283.00 for ONE NIGHT. stinky, filthyroom. Crayon all over walls. Floors peeling uup. No Air conditioning. Noisy. It was just Gross all the way around. We would Never stay there again, nor recommend it to our friends.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Last resort choice"
This place is in horrible condition. Handles missing from furniture, cracked bathroom mirror, no clock, upholstery-stained chair, bath/tub enclosure screwed into the walls and lop-sided, lots of noticeable drywall repairs. The noise from the freeway kept us awake. We've paid less for pristine accommodations in places like San Francisco and Monterey, […] but the hotels in the area take advantage of the Cal Poly graduation weekend and charge ridiculous rates for sub-par places like this. Giant waste of money. I would recommend staying in nearby Morro Bay, Paso Robles, etc., and make the short drive to SLO. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Perfect for a overnight. The town is very nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Not very friendly staff. Clean, but nothing special. No information in room about hotel, pool, etc. No alarm clock either! Towels very rough. Would stay again, if only one night needed without much time being spent in room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cheap and dirty"
Noisy, near freeway. Dirty/stained sitting chairs, made me concerned about everything else.Genuine Expedia guest review
"okay for the price"
Not the most welcoming family, but the woman at the front desk was nice. The motel is right off the freeway so you hear a lot of traffic. The room wasn't bad. There was a fridge and a microwave but no coffee maker. The shower was clean, the room itself was decently clean, but beds were hard and blankets had holes. The fixtures and tv were new and nice. […] There was no clock and the space itself was very tight. It was definitely not the best hotel but for one night and for the price it was fine Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

A perfectly functional motel. I was very happy with it for a quick rest stop. One small complaint: the towels are made of sandpaper.Genuine Expedia guest review
"I do not want to come back at this hotel"
Hotel is too old & smell. The bed is made noise even just for turning. Bug was on the floor.Genuine Expedia guest review
"DO NOT STAY HERE"
Terrible experience. Hair in the bathtub, loud music playing from the room above ours, teenagers partying in parking lot, men drinking in their truck (parked directly outside of our room). Overall horrible hotel and service. WAY over priced.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Worst place ever DO NOT EVER stay here"
Do not stay here it was worse than I could imagine. This is a party motel. The mattress was unbearable, it consisted of a springs with a set of sheets (found hair on sheets) the mattress was completely torn, the carpet was disgusting, the bathroom was dirty. I definitely would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.Genuine Expedia guest review
"shame hotel....please, don't call it an hotel"

"Close to Cal Poly"
We would stay again. It was conveniently located. The in-room fridge , microwave, and table were very helpful to not have to go out anytime we wanted to eat or drink something. In walking distance to many shops and restaurants, too!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"No, no,no. This place should be avoided."
This place is way beneath Hotels.com standards. We booked on the phone, so I couldn't see photos. It was the most dismal room I've seen. Dirty, tired, old. The beds were ancient. The bathtub was gross. We lost two hours of our time in San Luis Obispo getting out of this place and finding something else. Hotel's.com was helpful. This place should not […] be included in your roster of hotels. For the same price we got a really nice room at the Lexington and were very, very happy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We chose this hotel for our 1 night stay because of the price. This hotel was truly one of the worst I have ever stayed in. The gentleman was rude when I went to check in, he actually sighed when he had to get up off the couch to check me in. It smelled very strong of some type of air freshener trying to cover smells. We had to leave the windows open […] for hours to dissipate the smell. They advertise the pool being heated, it was freezing! It was so noisy we struggled for hours to get to sleep. excellent location, inn was outdated and old looking on the outside but safe and friendly staff. Would definately stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Bathroom and shower looked newly remodeled and were very nice. The room itself had an odd but, not unpleasant smell. Room itself looked old and bed was bit too firm for my taste.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very clean, comfortable bed, quiet. Building needs some maintenance. When I checked out, the guy wouldn't wake up, so I had to call him and leave the key on the counter. Other staff were very nice. Super close to campus. Great stop when watching football or attending a concert where you just need a place to sleep close to the action.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Don't waste your money!"
The service and room were terrible. I've never been in a room with such an overwhelming bad smell of disinfectant. The location was right under the freeway so it was continuously noisy. I had to leave after 10 minutes and was refused a refund. I recommend you remove this motel as an option.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"3.5 Star 2 Star Hotel"
This place isn't a 3 or 4 star hotel. But it is a really good 2 star hotel. Front desk staff were polite, if not overly warm. Room was dated, but immaculate. Housekeeping staff was polite, friendly, and VERY efficient with a surprising attention to detail. The place is at a very busy intersection, adjacent to the freeway - so you hear a lot of car noise. […] Other than that, it isn't loud and rowdy. It looks sketchy, but it's totally safe. I stayed alone (female) and wasn't terrified. I came to get some writing done for a book project and it met my needs. Wifi was excellent, I could walk to someplace different for each meal. Only real drags were 1) the pool wasn't open and 2) I was on the second floor and there's no elevator, 3) the parking lot can get a little tight. If you are in town for a short stay and on a budget, give it a shot. You could do a LOT worse. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"I wouldn't recommend it"
When we arrived in the evening, the lobby had an overwhelming curry odor in it. The clerk was okay, spoke broken English. We received one key, on the way to the room was a path littered with cigarette butts and trash(gross). When we entered our room, it wasn't the cleanest. The bathroom had a used bar of soap and wrapper in it, the curtains had some […] unidentified substance splattered on them. The bed was actually comfortable, that's the only positive. The "continental" breakfast is a joke! muffins quartered and coffee. They should call it was it is, cut up muffins. Dated, no frills, not a romantic place. Bathrooms/ shower not very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

This was a great deal. Room was nice and had been recently remodeled Location was perfect and close to everything I needed in SLO. Front desk was helpful. Neighborhood was quiet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice location, but a little dated"
Right off the 101, a 5 minute walk to downtown SLO, which is hard to beat at this pricepoint. You quickly realize though that you get what you pay for: doors that have trouble closing; dated carpets; grungy caulk in the bathrooms; even an old CRT television sitting in the corner, opposite the flatscreen mounted on the wall. I think the sign says continental […] breakfast, but we could find no such ammenity. I'd stay here again, but that's because I don't know of anything better, and it could always be worse. "close to business"
The soap and shampoo containers were not cleaned out of the shower from the previous guests, therefore, we did not shower.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to downtown and Cal Poly, but also to 101"
The three things I want from a hotel room are hot shower, big towels, reliable Internet. San Luis Inn got two of those right, but the towels are the kind you expect from a $50 room. It's well situated between Cal Poly and downtown SLO, but so is the freeway, so I imagine one's stay depends much on sensitivity to the sound of trucks rumbling by.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fine if you have very low standards"
There were paint spots on the walls, stains all over the chairs, what looked like black burn marks on the mirror, and black stains all over the white bath towels. It doesn't cost much so It's fine if you have low standards and just need a bed, shower, and toilet.Genuine Expedia guest review
"San Luis Inn And Suites"
It neds to improve its outlook and cleanness of beds and bed sheets.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close in, inexpensive, clean and courteous"
A nice clean spacious room with a better than expected granite shower. It's very close to downtown and easy on and off the freeway. I came in on a motorcycle on a VERY cold night and the room warmed up pretty quickly and stayed toasty until I left. Not the Taj Mahal, but for the price, it met and exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here […] again the next time I come down on business. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
2 problems (1) The fire alarm went off at @am waking EVERYONE and it took 10 minutes of ear piercing pain to turn off. On the bright side everyone is assured it works and can wake the dead. (2) We checked into our room. Used the bathroom but accidentally pushed in the lock so locked ourselves out of the bathroom.
