This hotel had that smell of a detergent right in the corridors when you enter the hotel, It was there all throughout other corridors. The Doors looked very hold. The food was very ok. I liked the room which had a good bed and it was neat.

I called 2 days prior to showing up to let them know I was going to be early, there was a female who said it shouldn't be a problem but I should call the day I was going to show up. I drove 19 hours on a school bus with a bunch of teenagers, during the drive I called around 5 am the day I was going to show up to let them know I was going to be early, a male answered & said my rooms would be readyby 11 am, I ended showing up there around 9:30 am. I wanted to see when my room would be ready and the female @ the desk said to check back between 10-10:30, so I came back around 10:30, she then said to come back in 45 minutes so I came back around 11:15, she then said to come back another 45 minutes, so I came back around 12 pm, she then said to come back in 1 hour, so I came back around 1 pm, she then said another 45 minutes, I ended coming back around 2 pm at which point other people were checking in, i did not end up getting my room till 2:30, but thats not all!! I ordered 2 non smoking rooms thru hotel.com & she gave me 2 smoking rooms, I was so exausted @ that time I didn't argue. When I came to my room & my wife to the other room both room had the worst smell, it was disgusting!! I spent a whole can of febreeze on both rooms and it still did not seem to work! The lamp @ my desk did not work & my wife, after we had been there 1 day, found a pizza bax under her bed!!!! It was definitely the worst stay ever!! I travel up there @ least 1x a year with about 20-30 people, I will never go back there.

The first room we were given was on the first floor. We had to walk past two rooms that were totally trashed as if a fight had taken place. Upon entering the rooom, the lights immediately blew and the toilet was constantly making a noise. We reported it and took another room on the 4th floor. The ceiling was falling off in the hallway, two scary men were checking in next door and were cussing loudly. We went to dinner, found another hotel, and checked out immediately upon returning. Scary guys were hanging out in the parking lot gathered around a noisy car. We were two women and this was NOT a safe place.

Overall it was a great value for the money. Our room was air conditioned fine! Thank heavens because it was HOT! The bed was excellent and the pillows were awesome. Room was clean and the staff were very nice and helpful.A little rundown in general but I expected that from reading other reviews. A lightbulb was missing and also the phone cord but were replaced immediately. We were given plenty of extra towels for the pool and it was nicely heated and clean. Also a roll away bed was provided at no extra charge when my son decided to come along. I would stay again.

Everything about the hotel was good Except for the fact there was a party every night in the banquet room with a DJ blasting music until 11:00 or 12:00. Their solution to that was to ask us if wanted to move to another room down the hall after we had been settled in for 2 nights. That was unacceptable. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

This hotel was good for the price. It was close to the Casino and train that takes you right into Chicago. Don't ask the front desk for directions because she only got us lost looking for a nice place to eat dinner. The night we stayed there was also a birthday party in the banquet room. The music didn't stop until midnight. So you might want to make sure there are no events at the hotel before you book it.

I reserved a room through Hotels.com thinking it would be close to Chicago - which it was - & being a single mom, the price was right. We ended up going a day earlier than I had booked & make a weekend of it. The first room we got apparently someone had fought in. There was a hole in the bathroom door with tape over it & what appeared to be pizza on the ceiling. The frame around the door was being held by maybe two nails on the very bottom-the whole board was kind of dangling verically-apparently where someone kicked in the door with the bar latch locked. I turned on the lamp-which took forever because there was a short in it, picked up the phone to call for a wake up call & there was no dial tone-the entire phone wiring, box, etc was pulled out of the wall! I then called from my cell & they had me come down to get a key to a new room. We moved everything to the new room & then found only one light worked. Back down to the desk I went & got a third room that everything worked in. But, the tissue holder & faucet in the bathroom had red splatters on it (appeared to be vomit). The pool was small & cold & my daughter ran to the weight room to get us extra towels as there were none in the pool room. Also, my key would not work outside at the back entrances. I can say, the breakfast was very nice - waffles, bagles, cereal, toast, fruit, muffins, etc. But, for the price of two nights, I expect more than just breakfast being good. I will not stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel in order to visit chicago and save some money during the stay. We were a little concerned prior to going into it about the safety of the hotel and the distance it would be from some of the sites that we were going to see downtown. But when we got there it all worked out. It was an easy drive down route 41 that leads you straight to the main attractions with little traffic. The hotel was clean. The only negative was that the surounding neighborhood wasn't the greatest place to be at, the hotel itself was save and everything but I wouldn't want to walk around that place at night. It was in my opinion a good value.

I've stayed at a lot of hotels and many Quality Inns, but I was absolutely NOT satisfied with this one. I was alone and did NOT feel safe here or in my room. It seemed "rickety" and it was stained and WAY out of the way in an industrial park. Great for people who need a quick place to crash from the Indianapolis Airport. The room was clean however as was the bathroom- the two most important components of a stay next to your safety. I will not stay here and will not recommend it to anyone. :(

They had a bad leak somewhere, either from plumbing or rain which resulted in some hallway damage. There is a lot of needed minor maintenance, as the property is somewhat older. However, our room was clean, sheets and towels clean and the breakfast was good with a good choice of items. Staff recommended a great family restaurant down the road a block. We were satisfied with the value for the room and the staff was all very pleasant.

the only bright spot was the Hotel Manager that helped us settle into our second room. He was knowelgeable, kind and courteous. when I checked into the hotel the desk clerk was busy, so I waited 10 minutes for his assistance. When he did check me in he took my reciet from Hotels.com and did not seem to know what to do with it. He asked for my credit card and then tried to charge me again for the room. when I said the room had been paid for he snapped "I can see that". The room had been booked for a week and we are a family of 4. we had to go back to the desk 4 times because of things such as no towels, no clean cups etc. We stayed two nights and the first morning there were cock roaches in the bathroom. The bathtub faucet did not work and the tub was filthy. The staff assigned us to a different room but did not assist in the move. It was only when we noticed that the new room did not have a refridgerator or microwave and was much smaller did we get assistance from management. The manager was a complete delight but the rest of his staff was less than optimal.

Room key never did work on the outside doors in the back of the building, even after they recoded it for me. Not much in the immediate area of the hotel, but easy access to the highway.

We were happy with the room. However, there was an electrical problem at the hotel during our stay. The fire alarms went off in the early morning. When I called the front desk to ask what the problem was, they downplayed it and told me not to worry, it was nothing. However, later it went off again, and when I opened my door, there was smoke in the 2nd floor hallway. My husband and I evacuated immediately. The firemen came and found it was an electrical problem in the "phone room". They took care of the problem. However, I felt that the management did not handle this with the seriousness it deserved. After we exited the building, we went around to the front lobby. When people were asking, they were acting as if it was not a big deal. I feel the first time the fire alarm went off, and I called the front desk, they should have treated it as a potential hazard and told us they did not know what the problem was and maybe we should exit the building until they located the problem. Fortunately, everthing turned out okay. However, when the hallway is smoky, there is a problem!!!! We lost our house to a fire. It smoldered, without us being aware of anything, for a while before it burst into flames suddenly. I freaked out when I saw the smoke in the hallway. The room was clean, the location for our trip was excellent, the beds were comfortable. The hotel was clean. I was not happy, however, with the way this situation was handled.

The lock on our door did not work. We had to have the deadbolt on because you could just walk in the room without the key otherwise. There is no way I would have ever left valuables in the room. Luckily it was a 1 night stay. The breakfast in the morning was nice, you could make your own waffles which is something I've never seen before. We would stay again.
