Hotel was excellently located, let down by a very uncomfortable and barely cleaned room. Air conditioning did not work, and the design of the hotel meant that the windows were entirely sealed and thus I could not open the window. I barely slept and awoke with a headache.

We were travelling by train and this hotel is close to New Street station and easy walking distance to central attractions. Our twin bedded room was clean, comfortable and had a great view over the city. Check in was slow because the system had crashed, and we had to ask for the interconnecting door in our room to be locked from our side, but it was done immediately. There was a good variety of food for breakfast with efficient service. We were able to leave a case both before checking in and after checking out for a couple of hours. We were not troubled by noise from neighbours or the corridor. We would use this hotel again.

Lovely modern hotel. Was really pleased with my 15th floor room, great views of the city. Seems reasonably priced although there are cheaper and more central hotels. In hotels all the time with business and would definitely come back again. I want to go higher next time!

Apart from the initial struggle with finding the car park which has a different name to that on the website or waiting outside from the car park entrance for 10 minutes (only because I telephoned the main number) I was really disappointed with the hotel and room. It was starting to become very tired and worn and was very basic. I could have stayed at the Mal Maison for the same price and so was expecting a similar experience. However, since I was at a business event at the Radisson, it seemed more logical to stay there. The conference facilities were great-a nice modern bar and some of the best buffet food I've had - pretty healthy options and good flavours. Unfortunately, breakfast wasn't as good: it took a long time to be offered tea/coffee and the selection was very basic.

Checked in with a very nice member of staff. Initial room was noisy as by air conditioning units so asked to move. Second room turn out to have no air-conditioning in the room as was apparently not working so had a fan on the desk which sort of negated the reason for moving in the first place! In the middle of the heat wave this wasn't nearly enough and well below the standard I would expect for a 4 star hotel. Pillows also had stains on. Generally a disappointing stay made even more disappointing by the fact we sent a letter to the general manager 10 days ago and have still to have a response!

Spent the weekend at the hotel. When we got to the room we noticed mold growing in the shower, which too wasnt working. Staff were very helpful and found us a new room and threw in free breakfast which was a nice touch! Would have appreciated an upgrade even more... maybe next time ;) Hotel is clean and modern, just how i like. Room service was very slow at times though. Breakfast was good quality and no complaints. Overall a very nice stay and would recommend!

wanted somewhere close to restaurants and this was perfect. It was clean, lovely big room with little extras like wine glasses, bottle opener ice bucket and ice machine on each floor. Choice at breakfast was huge and well cooked. Very friendly staff.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location is not far from the main shopping areas but the area appears a little run down and the nearby parking did not give you the best feeling of personal safety especially late at night.

i had mixed feelings about this hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. When i entered the room at first there was crumbs on the carpets! and toilet has sewage smell. The gym too small, very often no clean towels, and no antiseptics to clean after use, also the tv does not work (flickers). also room tv remote control will only work when you are a meter away!

The hotel itself was very good indeed with great service and comfy beds. The only issue with the rooms was that the shower had no pressure and the bathroom was a bit dark. The neighborhood was a bit rough that surrounded the hotel, but the hotel was only a 10 minute walk from the bullring. Overall the hotel was fantastic value at £69 and is worth staying at if you are staying in Birmingham.

Bad location, Car park was not 2 minutes away and was down a scruffy passageway. If a woman alone was to use it she would be afraid to go there by herself. When the room was serviced glasses were left dirty, paper and biscuit crumbs on carpet, bath not cleaned, teaspoons not washed. Bedside tables not dusted. I could mention even more things left undone! The italian restaurat looked very appealing. Shame the food didn't match up to it. My partner's 'crispy pizza' was swimming with oil and was soggy. My garlic and rosemary potatoes were deep fried and served with chives! My tiramisu was a drik not a dessert! so you could say I am one very unhappy customr and would not stay here again!

Worst hotel I've ever been too. Not of a penny worth for 4 star. Room was not at all cleaned, it was so dusty that it felt like it hasn't been cleaned for ages. On complaining about the same we got a reply from the cleaner "Dust is everywhere we can't help it" Access cards don't work. Breakfast didn't match a 4 star standard. NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDED...

I arrived at my room late and very tired, in the morning I noticed the shower was full on hold and there was something sticky on the wall next to my bed as if someone had spilt a drink there. Overall quite disappointing for such a hotel. I asked to change rooms and was granted my request. The next room was much better but my sheets weren't changed all week I stayed there and the cup and spoon I used weren't clean properly. I think they should look into a new cleaner. I also found that the rooms could do with some updating. Otherwise the staff were friendly and very accommodating .and the location was good with all nearby shops and restaurants.

When guest arrived they were told that the hotel was booked up and there was no room available they would be moved to a different hotel 3 miles away. Considering we had not been contacted prior to the change it was unacceptable as another colleague was booked into the same hotel. The hotel offered was not of the same standard as the Radisson. Find the service unacceptable for a business trip.

This was the second time I have visited thus hotel, did not have a great time first time with noisy plumbing and poor service - was promised by the management this would be different thus time..... It wasn't , thus hotel has lost its mojo, no one cares, there is no attention to detail, no one is prepared to say NO we can do better. My room was not serviced, when it was done all that happened was the towels were changed. The restaurant service slow distointed and unprofessional, however very friendly. There were broken hangers in the wardrobe and the iron was USELESS no management available as they had all gone home. Thus hotel is at the higher end of the offering in Birmingham, it's is not any where near living up to the expectations laid down by the Radisson brand, which has some of the best hotels under its umbrella.

Complimentary upgrade was a great treat and the view from our room was amazing on the 16th floor. Room was very clean and the bed was extra comfy. Location of the hotel is only a few minutes walk from the city centre but this convenience comes at a price. Parking near the hotel is quite expensive and not exactly the most spacious of car parks.

Arrived at the hotel and was told we had a non smoking room. We asked to change to a smoking room and the lady at the check in desk did this for us straight away and we had a room on the 12th floor witch was very good! However the room was very dusty and you could see it in the air and air con in the room was not great either. The bed was very comfy and the wifi was a good connection. The bathroom room was nice enough. The breakfast was very nice but we couldn't help but feel like the staff were wanting to rush us out as the the time was 10.20. Overall nice stay just shame about the room been dirty!

Hotel is very nice, a little generic. The room is a bit retro, and the TV is very small. The bed was awful, I had a bad back for days following a two night stay. The shower was lacking power too. Also, the ethernet cable in my room was broken. The car parking facilities are an NCP around the corner. Very rough indeed particularly with workmen going to and fro for the New Street upgrade.

We stayed at this hotel as we were in Birmingham to see a concert at the Symphony Hall. The exterior is striking albeit situated next to a busy roundabout so a bit noisy. The view from our room on the 17th floor was great enhanced by the floor to ceiling windows. The decoration was a little tired with a few marks on the carpets and the desk top was very used.

I was really enjoying my stay up until the point that I decided to have a shower before work. The hot water was off so the shower never happened. I understand that problem occur in big buildings, but this was one way to wreck and otherwise good stay in the hotel.

It was a great night, quite and good quality sleep. The room was clean and the staff particularly friendly and helpful. The hotel is in the perfect location to The Mailbox, the Bullring and Hippodrome, which are all less than 5 minutes walk. The only improvement could be the bathroom equipment, as it was minimal toiletries.

Lovely hotel and bed, excellent service, but the structure of the building means that windows in rooms don't open, so no fresh air so my room smelled overpoweringly of bleach and furniture polish. The air con was left running for hours but this made no difference. Stains on floor and a leak I the corner of the room. Other than that, I would stay again, but perhaps bring a fan with me to aim at the stronger smells!

We were woken very early in the evening by some sort of industrial noise by our window, and in the morning when we wanted a lie in together - our door was knocked on THREE TIMES by housekeeping staff despite shouting "WERE TRYING TO SLEEP - NO THANKYOU". All in all it was a rather unpleasant stay and i'll not be staying here again, despite it being recommended to me.

Stayed here recently for a work function and was instantly impressed from the moment I entered my room on the eleventh floor. Spotlessly clean room and bathroom, even the mirror didn't steam up while taking a shower! Lovely fluffy pillows, comfortable bed provided me with the best sleep I've had in a very long time. Staff were sincerely helpful and attentive and I would stay here again without fail and recommend them 100%
