Nice and central. Local to hippodrome so perfectGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Lovely hotel, though terrible check out, took absolutely ages and there was a huge queue checking out. Advertises a gym but it is only open at times when the spa is closed, very strange.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Average - perfect if you like staying on a freeway"
Average and perfect if you like staying on a large roundabout and freeway combined. Comfortable rooms but.....ho hum. There are other choices in Birmingham.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

My stay in the hotel was a memorable one. The staffs are polite and always willing to assist, their breakfast was excellent. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and families.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Lovely hotel, one little niggle"
Not stayed here before and it is a good location and a nice hotel. Funky room, great reception. And a overall very enjoyable stay... Only thing... The bed felt old and saggy which is unusual in such a new hotel and big brand. Actually, the bathroom fan was all night noisy... So maybe two niggles then!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room service could have been beltter. Took well over an hour for pizza and chips to arrive, pizza was runny and we were brought 2 lots by the caterers even though we only ordered one! Other than hang that, this is is a very nice hotel and very smart. Odd the amount of hotels that don't have a bath in the bathroom these days! Really annoys me and always […] stops me giving full marks for the room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not what I expected"
The hotel looks amazing from the outside and the lobby & corridors are beautiful! However, we had to be moved 3 times before we were happy with the state of the room! The decor was tired and in need of a refurb! There was chips out the furniture, in the first room the leg was falling off the desk chair, there were stains on the carpets!! Just not good […] enough for the star rating of this hotel!! Breakfast was a great buffet but the staff weren't with if at all! There was no space when we first went to breakfast and we waited along with other guests to be seated! The young girl organising this didn't take room numbers in order of arrival so it ended up all a little uncomfortable as she couldn't remember who was to be seated next!! I was asked if I wanted tea of coffee, which never arrived and I had to go and ask for it again!! Generally disappointed is my review!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
A nice hotel in central Birmingham, a three minute walk to the NewStreet railway station. The hotel room was well equipped, the staff was friendly, the room and its appointments were pleasing. The room itself was clean but could have used refreshed/cleaner carpets.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent City Centre location and great staff"
Stayed here for a conference at Birmingham ICC. This hotel was only a 10 minute walk to the ICC, so really handy. It is right round the corner from New Street station too and 5 minutes walk to the BullRing. Couldn't have picked a better location. The staff were very helpful and polite. Nice bar and restaurant and the rooms were great too. Lots of space. […] And although we were right on a roundabout, you couldn't hear a thing outside - that was a bonus. Plenty choice for the breakfast. We didn't have dinner in the hotel, but on a Sunday the restaurant is closed due to it being quiet, but there are plenty restaurants outside the BullRing that you can choose from. I would highly recommend this hotel to stay at. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice night getaway"
Nice hotel with great views, room was very clean and bed was comfy.Genuine Expedia guest review
What an awful hotel. Not at al 4star. There was mould in the bathroom and in also had a very bad smell of dampness. The carpets were dirty. The bed was very uncomfortable. The whole room was very old and very poor finishing a with pain coming off and marks in doors etc. From the bed you could hardly see the tv as it was so small.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Rooms nice spoilt by view of a wall"
Breakfast cold, room carpet stained, parts of the hotel need hooveringGenuine Expedia guest review
"Adequate business hotel"
An unexceptional hotel, aimed at business travellers, and expensive if you pay full rate. It has annoyances like the strange system whereby you have to put your room key in the light switch on entering. to get any power in the room. Just how much money are they saving? The lifts/ elevators have a similar system; you have to use your key to use the lift. […] And I never did find out how to turn the bedside light on, however many ways I tried. The TV remote did not operate from the bed, about 4 metres/12 feet away from the pillow. It did if you stood by the set. The hotel does have smoking rooms and an adequate business centre. Breakfast is adequate. There is no onsite parking. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice Hotel near Bullring"

"Great Business hotel!"
Stayed for a night. Centre of town... clean rooms, most importantly no rip off charges for wifi. Highly recommended!Genuine Expedia guest review
Good location, close to shops and restaurants. Staff were very helpful. Room was clean but due for a refurbish. Outside looked better than the inside. Not to the same standard as other hotels we'd stayed at.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel, but nothing special."
This was my first stay at the Radisson and I was a little disappointed. We booked using an offer and the hotel was nice, as you would expect from a known chain, but I'd stay somewhere else if I was having to pay full price. On check-in, I was ignored for a few minutes whilst some staff finished their (obviously not work related) chat. Our room was […] not cleaned/serviced at all even though we stayed three nights. On the first day we did leave the room well after lunch but on the next day we left at about lunchtime. Given that it was a Saturday and our room had not been cleaned yet, I expected it to be automatically done. There was no way to request it apart from actually asking at reception and there was no information anywhere indicating that you have to do so if you want your room serviced outside of the morning hours. Also, the tv in the room was fairly small for the size of the room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good location, poor customer relations"
The desk service and restaurant manager where unenthusiastic. In fact the staff waiting and cleaning were more welcoming. There appeared to be a difference of treatment when booking in during the day and at night. Location and rooms nice, meet and greet staff need some training.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A bit tired"
This hotel's decor was a bit tired. In addition there was a bit of a drain smell both in the bar and in my room at one point. Not great. At over £100 a night in Birmingham I expected better. Will not stay here againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Modern central hotel"
Well located modern hotel. Fair range of amenities and restaurants. Not great surroundings but not far from centre.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel ok gt brkfst, gd location, no atmo in bar"
Stayed 2 nights, good location, very close to Bull Ring shopping centre, good price for B&B, great selection on breakfast with helpful staff, room a bit small, but would stay there again. Made a local call from Hotel Room and was charged over £3 sterling for a local call - an exhorbitant charge.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Friendly approachable staff"
The staff at this hotel are about the happiest I have ever come across as a whole team. They seem genuinely happy to work there. There were insufficient sockets on the room for hair straighteners/phones as one was not working and please leave more than one 'proper' tea bag! Overall, lovely hotel and great service!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice stay"
The hotel is very conveniently located in the City. We stayed in a 1 bed suite which was very spacious with the added convenience of two toilets in addition to a fabulous modern bathroom. I would like to make a special mention of the reception staff who were friendly and extremely helpful and professional.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Poor organisation room booked but not available!"
We requested early check in arrived at 9:30am only rms available was smoking or diasbled without a bath. Refused either room dropped our bags off and thought we would check in on our return from the cricket at 11pm. We tried to check in at 11pm which took about 20 mins we got to the rm only to find out it was a twin rather than a kingsize bed as requested […] at booking time. We returned to reception desk no other rms available so was offered complementary drink and a taxi to hotel 10 mins as it was late refused this and took the twin rm and they have agreed to allow a full return including car parking charges. Although the staff in the evening were less than helpful and Manager was not available the Manager in the morning offered his help and has kindly been able to offer a full refund and dealt with the situation. Our only concern was there was another couple who had booked over the internet came to the check in at the same time as us and did'nt even have a room! Poor organisation and booking system. "good value, location and great view"
We were made to feel very welcome. All staff very helpful. Great location for all the attractions of central Birmingham. Superb for views of the urban skyline from the 14th floor roomGenuine Expedia guest review
Really enjoyed our stay. Staff were polite and helpful at all times. Breakfast was great with varied choice (loved pancake machine!). Late check out time (12pm) was a bonus. Thanks for a great stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
Best stay I have ever had in a hotel! Stayed here with my partner for his birthday leaving our daughter at home, planned to have a late night with a few too many drinks but our room was so relaxing and the bed was so comfortable we ended up in bed and asleep by 9.30pm! Best nights sleep I've ever had.Genuine Expedia guest review
Parking is the big problem with this hotel. To access the car park you need to walk down some fairly dodgy alleyways and it costs an arm and a leg. Room was nice with a good view. Staff were helpful, when you could find one although they did give us conflicting information when asking about the parking. The gym was nice although nobody seems to be […] responsible for stocking it as the water machine had no cups and the papertowel despenser was empty. Still it was fairly cheap, in a good location and better than many hotels I've stayed at. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"simplicity in perfection"
Great Hotel, Great Experience. Would For sure come back. One little thing, the Gym needs to be expanded, with more equipment. This would help increase the amount of people that return. Everybody travelling these days, has in mind to stay in shape. ( Well most people any way)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very pleasant stay"
I stayed at this hotel for almost a week when I was on a conference at the University. Proximity of the Birmingham New Street station made commuting very easy. Also, in walking distance is plenty of restaurants and pubs to explore during the evenings. The hotel itself is one of the highest quality in the area, complementary internet in the room, everything […] looked clean and no signs of damage anywhere. Overall, very pleasant stay. On the other hand, you might find cheaper in the area, but the prices are really comparable for the services and comfort (compared to i.e. Holiday Inn nextdoor). "Good but the lobby was smelly"
Location is excellent and service was great. However the Lobby was smellyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Happy staff, stylish hotel, great view of the city from the rooms high up. Bed incredibly comfy, air conditioned. Great night sleep. Only down side were the bar prices. 7 quid for a glass of house wine!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Central location, but low rent rooms"
The lobby area and the reception are good - our check in was easy and the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are more like you would find in a budget hotel though - material stapled onto the head board and itchy blankets on top of the beds. Our air con was really noisy - like being in an engine room so all in all I had a rubbish night's sleep. What […] really annoyed me though was the doorman who is there presumably to keep guests safe who thought it was acceptable to insult my friend when we returned from our night out. He commented on how she was wobbling all over the place - when in fact she has cerebal palsy and walks like that all the time!'. I appreciate this may have been intended as good hearted banter, which may go down ok with a pub doorman, but at a hotel where we are paying guests I expected more. "Get to know the lift..."
Access to guest floors is by room key in the lift but instructions are not clear. For info it works exactly like the room lock ie insert the card and remove before selecting the floor. With only three lifts and many guests trying to work out how to use them, waiting for a lift is an extremely frustrating experience. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. […] Not the nicest of locations but convenient for an overnight stay in the Centre. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for party goers and business"
Only downside is the bar is a bit clinical and impersonal and nowhere to have a cigarette only outside the hotel on a busy roundabout.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place to stay in Birmingham"
Very helpful staff, and great to be able to leave our luggage with them before check-in and after checking out the following morning. We were on the 14th floor with views over the city. Room was comfortable and so was the bed. Our only quibble would be the curtains - the full size windows only had voile/linen type lightweight curtains which let the […] dawn light in - would have been better with thicker curtains or a blind. Very friendly staff on reception. The room was a good size, very comfy bed, but not such great pillows. The aircon was pretty noisy so we had to leave it off to sleep and it got quite warm in the room. There is no car park but they offer a concession rate at an NCP car park next door however its pretty hard to find the entrance! We ended up parking […] elsewhere but for the same rate.
