The owners and managers of this property take great pride in keeping the rooms and parking area neat and clean. The bedding is clean and comfortable, and there were plenty of clean towels, hand towels, washcloths, tissues, and toilet paper. The room had TV with cable, refrigerator, microwave. Bed was very firm. I wish they had rooms with double queen beds. The shower stream was adequate but the water was hard to regulate, it bounced back and forth from hot to cold. The location to Stonybrook University was excellent.

Boston Cream :-) and coffee. This was just a surprise as I didn't know there is anything. There are several vending machines, ice machine, several takeaway in the area. This was a convenient location on my way to a job in Patchogue. I was able to get a quite nights sleep plus there were a number of stores and restaurants in the area. I will keep this motel in Port Jefferson Sta. NY in mind for the next time I work in the area.

Although I received a good rate from Hotels.com I'm not sure that it was worth the bargin price. They didn't want to give us extra towels and their idea of continental breakfast was stale donuts and coffee which ended at 8am. The air conditioning was really loud and the pillows lumpy. Not sure that I would stay here again.

Older room in need of remodeling. The sink didn't drain properly. The linens were clean although the towels were like sand paper and the sheets felt like they had a thread count of 180. The one redeeming quality was m y room was on the backside of the hotel and was very quiet. I won't stay there again.

America's Best Value Inn is an older drive-up style motel that has recently been updated somewhat. It was very clean which was my biggest concern so that was a plus. The TV had been updated to a flat screen with plenty of channels to choose from. The furniture and fixtures are very basic and pretty dated. The bathroom has not been updated and still includes pea green tiles up the walls, a 70's style stand-up shower, and is VERY small. In summary, I was in the area for a big event at Stony Brook so every other reasonably priced hotel was sold out. I knew I would be out of the room all day and only be back at night and for this purpose it was fine but nothing more. Next year I'll make my reservations earlier and stay in one of the newer, large chain hotels. Read more

check out the pictures. it is NOT a fancy looking place. but for my purposes - getting in late at night - getting up in the AM and leaving - it was just fine. very reasonably priced. wireless internet access. very friendly proprietor. I would stay again and recommend it for the value-oriented traveler.

For a 2 star hotel, it's what you'd expect. As hotels which keep the clerk behind a plastic protector go, it's pretty good. Fine for an overnight stay for someone who happens to be passing through Port Jefferson. People behind the desk were very polite and courteous. Rooms were clean.

Had trouble finding it with my GPS. Most likely because of the Route 112 address rather than a street name. BUT, when I called for directions, the person answering was not sure where he was or about nearby landmarks, so it made it difficult to finally arrive. The room was shabby and worn looking. There were cracks in the tile in the bathroom. The toilet didn't flush properly from the get go and didn't get any better after we reported the problem.
