"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.
"Another Good Experience"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
My wife and I have stayed at the Courtyard in Mahwah three of the last four years to attend the NEAF astronomy show at the Rockland Community College in Suffern, just a few minutes away. We've always had good a experience and this stay was no different. The recent renovations definitely spruced the hotel up. The pool and spa area was nice, although the acoustics in the room left my ears ringing after a group of children in the pool were not using their "indoor voices." Our room was very clean, everything worked well, including the internet connection (which is a wired connection) and having a Dunkin Donuts right next door makes a stay here worthwhile in my humble opinion! Just grab a coffee and a bagel sandwich and go. The rates are competitive with other hotels in the area. If someone on here rates the hotel low, they must be comparing it to a five-star city hotel or maybe a destination resort. It's not that, but it is a clean and decent place to stay while traveling for business or short-term pleasure. I believe we will stay there again next year.

We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.

Founded in 1857, West Orange’s Llewellyn Park is thought to be the nation’s first planned community. Its idyllic landscaping is similar to New York’s Central Park. Prolific inventor Thomas Edison lived in Llewellyn Park, and his estate is open for tours. Nearby is the Turtle Back Zoo, part of the 2,000-acre South Mountain Reservation. A 25-foot waterfall lies within the South Mountain woods.

This hotel is currently in the process some major rennovation. I have every expectation that the results of this project will enhance the hotel. But until then, both the guests and the staff will have to endure the norma challenges associated with such a project.
The hotel was nice but there.was no mirror in the room.

"Courtyard Marriott - W Orange, NJ"
Very nice....clean, spacious, convenient to restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
this hotel is close to the cityand our childrenand their children.. we have stayed there before and are very satisfied.
"Courtyard Marriott West Orange"
Overall excellent. The only problem was that we had trouble adjusting the air conditioning in the room- it was too hot without it and too cold with it; the thermostat must have been off. We opened the window, and that solved the problem
Very noisy; bath room curtains stinky; staff very arrogant and unhelpful; worst experience

"Just as expected"
It was a perfect Marriott experience. The hotel seems new. The facilities are great. The staff was friendly and helpful.
"Couldn't sleep"
HORRIBLE- management allowed drunken guests to hoot and holler until the wee hours of the AM because the wedding was held there. We called the front desk twice to complain that we couldn't sleep but nothing was done about it. NEVER AGAIN!
"West Orange NJ Courtyard by Marriott"
This hotel was nice the room was large and furniture properly placed (Bed was not on a shared wall but on the bathroom wall). This was our first trip to the NY area and we chose to stay here for two nights because of the location which was closed to friends that we wanted to see. We would stay here again if we were ever back in the area.
"Nice clean hotel."
Everything was great - it was a little odd, I got in late at 10pm and ordered room service (which was available until 10:30), but was told there is nobody at hotel to deliver it to my room. I went down and got it - and they thankfully did not charge me the upcharge for room delivery. Also, they don't put lotion in the hotel room, so I had to call for […] it. A peeve of travel - please, hoteliers, just stock Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Lotion! Just do it! Read more

"Handy Location, Friendly Service"
This hotel is located near several major highways, making it handy for business travel. All the staff were friendly and helpful; they quickly fixed one minor problem with the shower. Breakfast was on the premises, and several takeout restaurants nearby made it easy for those working long days.
