Great breakfast buffet with tasty croissants and omelets made to order. Beqa Adventure Dive has a free shuttle and will also pick up divers at the Pearl's docks. Rooms were clean and the staff is very friendly. Make sure to check out the local food on Monday night.

My husband and I stayed at the Pearl for our Honeymoon. It was a great experience. First off the staff was amazing, very helpful and knowledgeable about Fiji and its culture. I also felt very safe at the resort when you left at night they made sure they knew where you were going and your room number. The resort had daily activities that were free to […] guests which filled the day with things to do. They also have a representative available to book excursions at the resort. If you want to swim in a waterfall do the Tour of Fiji. We stayed in a Penthouse Suite which was nice, very spacious with a living area and refrigerator. They do not provide alarm clocks it is “FIJI TIME” to them. The food at both restaurants was absolutely delicious. We loved everything we ordered. The Pearl is also a short walk or 2 minute taxi ride to the Arts village which has restaurants, grocery store, bank, and liquor store. The bank is convenient because you can exchange your money for a lesser fee then the resort or airport. You NEED TO EXCHANGE money, the hotel will accept American $ but the Art’s village and gas stations do not accept American $. You need to go to the Blue’s place and get a Mahi Mahi Po Boy. It is huge can share one for two people. The Pearl was purchased by a new owner and the new plans were revealed during our stay. They should have a much larger resort with new amenities in 2 years. We plan on going back to see how it changed. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Read more

The hotel is sleek and modern. The staff is wonderfully friendly. Sadly, the room stunk. It was the most uncomfortable bed and flattest pillows. Our view looked over a tin roof and maint area and the balcony was 1.5 ft wide (no chairs, no table). The shower doesn't have a door so I sprayed the entire bath with water. Lovely resort and the people were very friendly. The resort is situated right on the beach and has a beautiful outlook and breath taking sunsets. Nothing was too much trouble. Had a problem with the water 2 times for short periods but this didn't put us out too much. Staff supplied water to our rooms if we wanted it. Apparently the water gets cut off […] sometimes. Food was excellent and the happy hour well attended by us most afternoons. Very easy to book tours at reception. Our only bad experience was going out on a budget tour when the swell was too big so we didn't get to do the things we paid for like fishing and snorkelling. Not a reflection on the resort though. Taxi drivers were friendly and very accommodating especially driving to and from the airport which is 2 1/2 to 3 hours from the resort. Would recommend the local village tour (Galoa) and the arts village tour at Pacific Harbour, both can be booked through the resort. The resort has a large media room which would be good for families although they could use a few more DVDs to choose from. The day spa has plenty for packages which we used on our last day to finish off our Fiji experience. Would definately recommend the Pearl. Read more

The locals were amazing very friendly and accepting. Unfortunately the same couldn't be said for the staff at the hotel. I found a few times I approached the staff mainly ladies would often speak in Fijian and then stand there and laugh whilst I waited for them to get back to me. The friendly and helpful staff, the amazing food at the restaurants, the relaxing and tranquil location, the outside surrounds all exceptionally well presented and maintained which make up the positives. I have just returned from a 7 night stay at The Pearl with my Husband and we had a fantastic time. The hotel itself is a 2.5 hour taxi ride from Nadi airport which is quite a long journey when you've just spent 4 hours on a plane but it's worth it when you get there. The area is quite remote but you can book to go on any number of excursions and providing […] you aren't there for an extended period of time this shouldn't be a problem. The hotel provides activities throughout the day to keep you entertained and the hotel staff are just brilliant - so friendly and willing to help. Theme nights were held in the restaurants most evenings and the food was delicious. There are loungers and hammocks around the pool and whilst they were nearly all taken, we didn't have any real problems finding somewhere to sit. We did visit in the off season though and I imagine that when the hotel is to capacity, there could be a few problems. The beach was lovely but the sea is very murky due to the sand in this area so not an area for snorkelling and when I did snorkelling excursions, much of the coral was dead which was disappointing. Overall, I really enjoyed myself and would recommend this hotel to friends but only for 5-7 day trips. Read more

Can't find the words to explain how INCREDIBLE the staff is, they are very nice people, fun, humble, helpfull (like most of fijians) and always greeting you with a warm BULA (which means hello)... The hotel is in the PACIFIC HARBOUR, 3 hours away from the NADI airport and 1 hour away from the capital SUVA (by bus)... you can take the local bus (16 fijian […] dollars), all have air-con. Eventhough is 3 hours away from the airport it's totally wortht it: you are close to the city and pretty much everything in that part of the island. The hotel had daily activities: kayaking in the river next to the hotel, volleyball, soccer, fishing in the river, balloon dance at night, frog competitions, etc The food in the hotel's restaurants is very good. The menu includes not only a few local dishes but also pasta, burguers, chips, sea food, and quite a few desserts. And there's always live music. (local music). And the prices are not much expensive than in the local restaurants (Fiji is very cheap). JET SKIING and WHITE WATER RAFTING is totally recomended. But don't worry about it, there's a lady in the hotel which helps you with the activities you may want to do. There's a village (ARTs VILLAGE) 10 minutes walking from the hotel where you can find restaurants, a supermarket, pubs, a post office,etc And don't worry about doctors, there's am EXCELLENT one in the Arts Village. The service was wonderful, the staff were so attentive and friendly. There was lots to do and sadly the weather packed it in for the middle of the trip so we spent time inside, staff provided games and wet weather things to do which was really considerate. The spa was great, reasonably priced and gave great massages. We went fishing with free dive Fiji, […] it was a great trip, we caught 4 fish and the kitchen cooked a mackerel up for us for dinner! Fishing was awesome, jäger and ratu provided homemade lunch and baking, drinks, good laughs and a good fishing spot. The transfers are pretty steep, but it's a 2-2.5hr ride from nadi (or about 40 mins from Suva) so you can see why. The activities desk was great, Kathy was so helpful and helped us arrange fishing and a rental car for a day witha very reasonable rate. The food was delicious, the breakfast was huge, with Danishes, muffins, toast, pancakes, eggs, sausages, cereal, fruit etc etc! Try the desserts, they are amazing. One critique was our bed was quite old, and pillows a bit hard, not the height of comfort but that was the only problem and we weren't really too bothered by it. Read more

Stayed here for a week and got off to a bad start because some of our luggage didn't find its way to our room from the baggage room and was never located and no explanation was given nor apology received. Pool staff really nice Aquila and Matt in particular. We ended up buying a lot of our drinks from across the road (three drinks for the price of one […] from the resort#. Make sure you make the most of the activities on offer and walk up to the Arts Village for cheaper meals. Don't bother buying internet access without a receipt #purchased and hour but received only half an hour - again no explanation was given nor apology received. Other than that, we had a great time but couldn't go on the JetSki tour to Beqa Island due to weather but there was plenty of other things to do. We also did a bus trip into Suva but it was awful - I would not recommend going there at all and couldn't wait to leave the unfriendly and strange city. Read more
