The staff was amazing, the food was awesome and plentiful. worth its value. The hotel is in need of some renovation tomake it a 5 star facility based on its location and ammenities. "Nice 2 nights stay"
Great stay in general. We did the last minute book in the morning around 10am. And get there at 12.00 noon. They welcomed us and helped with lugguage storage. Hotel was in good condition and location was just fabulous.Genuine Expedia guest review
"It was fantastic and we had heaps of rest!"
My experience, it is a lovely place we will go there again; but the draw back for me was mosquitoes. We were there during a dengue fever out break and we were bitten alive at the restaurant during meal at night. The bed was not comfortable. I love the place and its quietness. The staff is beyond compare. Vinakavakalevu!Genuine Expedia guest review
We can't say enough good things about the Pearl. We had read prior reviews, but some of them couldn't be more wrong. The staff was so amazing and kind- making sure we had everything we wanted, gave out excellent information, and were just some of the nicest people we have ever met. The day we were leaving it was raining and one of the woman who worked […] in the restaurant skipped her bus to stand over us with her umbrella until our bus came. The turn down service and the cookies were just a bonus! The massages at the Pearl Spa were fantastic. here were a ton of activities to do in the area- Pearl Harbour. "The Pearl if a Gem"
The Pearl of the South Pacific is located in Pacific Harbour along the Queen's Highway. It is in an idyllic locations right on the beach. The grounds are very well maintained, and the setting is breath-taking. You can walk right onto the beach from the hotel. I also really enjoyed the buffet breakfast that was included in the price of the room. I did […] not expect so many breakfast options, and was pleasantly surprised to see a full breakfast buffet. "Great location for adventures in Fiji"
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Pearl. The resort is quite a drive (2.5-3 hours) from the Nadi airport, but in great proximity to most adventure activities in Fiji (scuba, rafting, snorkeling, zip-lining, etc). The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was adequate but could have had a more comfortable bed and a better shower. I loved […] the beach access and outdoor eating areas. The breakfast was by far the best meal of the day (daily breakfast included in the stay). Happy hour was always fun and affordable. Dinner at the resort left a little to be desired, and we learned a little too late that there are more delicious and affordable restaurants within walking distance. Our favorite activity while we were in Fiji was rafting (which we booked through the Pearl). The resort is in the middle of a large construction project, but we did not notice any significant noise disturbances or limitations as a result. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Lovely hotel; pretty lobby, restaurant, and pool area, good food, and fantastic beach. I would go back here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice Views of Sea and River"
We enjoyed the location, offering river and ocean views with Beqa Island in the distance. Good location for a base to see the southern area, and Suva, between 1-2 hours by taxi or express bus. Nice size rooms and with enough appeal. Common areas were atmospheric with a nice design. Good food and breakfast buffet and happy hour with live music nightly. […] Helpful activity personnel and plenty of offerings. Beach is ok for Fiji but we were more interested in the rivers and interiors, having spent lots of time on beaches in the Yasawas. We enjoyed and recommend the river rafting booked through the hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Pearl Resort and Beqa Adventure Dive"
Great breakfast buffet with tasty croissants and omelets made to order. Beqa Adventure Dive has a free shuttle and will also pick up divers at the Pearl's docks. Rooms were clean and the staff is very friendly. Make sure to check out the local food on Monday night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We really enjoyed our stay. We thought the staff and the food was wonderful. Loved walking along the beach and the views were beautiful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a wonderful stay at the Pearl. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and helpful. You can see that areas of the hotel are in need of upgrades but that didn't bother us in the least. Would stay there again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel in need of remodelling"
This hotel is situated about 2.5 hours drive from Nadi Airport. The roads to the hotel are not great so it is a very slow drive down the coast and at night time it is not very well lit. At night time there were a lot of people walking on the road so it was quite dangerous. The hotel itself has a nice lobby area. We upgraded to a penthouse suite on arrival […] for an extra 100 FJ per night. The only difference with the suite was there was more space to move around. On the first night the shower and bath in the room had no water pressure. This was not rectified and even though hotel staff said they would have it completed in a half hour it wasn't until the next morning when it was fixed. The water pressure in the bath was terrible throughout the stay and we would have waited a long time for the bath to fill up so we did not take any baths. The bar downstairs closes early usually at about 9pm. This was disappointing considering it is a resort bar and should be open all night. The spa was OK. I had a moisturisng facial for 85 FJ it was Ok but could have done it myself. The activities are over priced for what you get but it is a tourist trap so this was expected. The complimentary breakfast is not great. The food is edible but I would recommend eating downstairs at the bar. Overall it was OK but I don't think I would return again. "Geat Hotel, Staff, Location and Food"
My husband and I stayed at the Pearl for our Honeymoon. It was a great experience. First off the staff was amazing, very helpful and knowledgeable about Fiji and its culture. I also felt very safe at the resort when you left at night they made sure they knew where you were going and your room number. The resort had daily activities that were free to […] guests which filled the day with things to do. They also have a representative available to book excursions at the resort. If you want to swim in a waterfall do the Tour of Fiji. We stayed in a Penthouse Suite which was nice, very spacious with a living area and refrigerator. They do not provide alarm clocks it is “FIJI TIME” to them. The food at both restaurants was absolutely delicious. We loved everything we ordered. The Pearl is also a short walk or 2 minute taxi ride to the Arts village which has restaurants, grocery store, bank, and liquor store. The bank is convenient because you can exchange your money for a lesser fee then the resort or airport. You NEED TO EXCHANGE money, the hotel will accept American $ but the Art’s village and gas stations do not accept American $. You need to go to the Blue’s place and get a Mahi Mahi Po Boy. It is huge can share one for two people. The Pearl was purchased by a new owner and the new plans were revealed during our stay. They should have a much larger resort with new amenities in 2 years. We plan on going back to see how it changed. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Is good but could be excellent"
The rooms are outdated and some hotel facilities need attention. However the location is superb and the food is good. The prices of the food and Internet are low. They could improve the activities during the week. Do not miss the Monday local show, it is really goooood.Genuine Expedia guest review
We had such a wonderful time. Two perfect days. We went snorkeling, kayaking and swimming. We had 2 massages and ate lovely meals looking at a view of the ocean and landscape. We also saw a coconut husking demo and tasted fresh coconut and its liquid. What a treat. We would love to return. VivianGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The Pearl South Pacific Resort"
We stayed here 2 nights to go rafting on the Navua River. We were pleasantly surprised by the enhancements/improvements they recently made. Beautiful lobby, great restaurant, and nice pool area with lush lawn and tiki torches at night. It's right on the beach, so it can get a bit windy in the evening. Rooms need a little upgrading (3 star), but are […] perfectly clean. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"amazing resort for adults only!"
Everything was just pure amazing. Walking into the loby, to your room and then all over the resort everything was just beautiful and well designed. The pool was awesome! I've never seen a pool that had a small swim in cave and the activites people were really nice and just wanted to be your friend. All the staff members said 'BULA' and made you feel […] like you were at home. The food was great but they have a set menu downstairs at one restaurant, luckly though the upstairs restaurant menu changed every day. I would recommend this hotel to everyone! its beautiful and just really relaxing. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not comfortable but great beach"
The hotel is sleek and modern. The staff is wonderfully friendly. Sadly, the room stunk. It was the most uncomfortable bed and flattest pillows. Our view looked over a tin roof and maint area and the balcony was 1.5 ft wide (no chairs, no table). The shower doesn't have a door so I sprayed the entire bath with water. Location is good for Pacific Harbour […] but it wasn't our favorite part of Viti Levu. It rained alot and we had nothing to do. Hotel should offer more activities like other places do. The pool was nice. Check out the volcano grotto. Happy hour is a must. The beach is soft sand and it is good swimming. Wish the sun allowed us more than 1 day on the beach :( Their boat was broken so we couldn't go snorkeling without paying for a tour. This should have been comped since their boat was broke the whole stay. Overall, if you are going to stay in PH, stay at Pearl b/c the rest didn't look that great. Just splurge for an ocean view and bring lots to do. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Old rooms tired .great to see new redevelopment"
Good spot timely redevelopment happening as old rooms are very tiredGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Total disrepair. Cockroach infested rooms. We came there for afriend's wedding and a combined family holiday to find the resort as a noisy construction zone. Our "beach view" rooms were actually views of a construction site of the new resort being built. The breakfast was a joke with a highway food stand offering better variety. I could go on about […] the disappointing experience but it would take a while. The beach was a highlight, offering beautiful coconut tree studded white sand front, warm calm ocean and stunning views. The staff were friendly and helpful. Given the poor conditions they had to offer the guests, there staff did reasonably well. Stay away from this dump at least until the new resort is built and the old one is knocked down. "Hotel close to a good range of facilities"
I loved my time at the Pearl, the staff were fantastic and made myself and 25 year old son, feel like we were part of there family. The Fiji Night and Sunday Bar-B-Que were awesome, and good value, loved the Sunday band. I did not go to the Curry night but everyone I spoke to said it was great. The bar prices were not too bad, for a resort, and happy […] hour prices were good value. Best value during the day was a jug of beer for $10 fj dollars. If you like a beer give the tower of beer a go, looks great in a photo, if nothing else, and it can be filled from 1-3 Litres. Nearby are other resorts, shops and a good value craft village with a good range of facilities, so you are not ties to the resort. I felt the resort suited a more mature cliental as activities for the younger ones was not so well catered for. There is currently building work going on, I was three rooms from it and hardly noticed it, so don,t let this put you off. The resort was a bit dated but very clean and well maintained. Great value for money as we got a 50% off deal. I however wouldn't of been happy if we paid full price. Breakfast was lovely every day. Not a lot to do for kids at The Pearl.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great small resort, but a long way to get there!"
For the price we paid for our stay at The Pearl, it was pretty good. We loved that it was not a big, bustling resort...at times it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The room size was good for a family of four, but glad we upgraded to the ground floor ocean view (we then had an undercover courtyard to sit at night when the kids were in bed). The […] buffet breakfast (which was included in the nightly rate) was awesome! Plenty of choice and the quality was good. We ate at the restaurant a couple of times for dinner, which never disappointed. But it is worthwhile venturing out to other places just for a change - the arts village down the road (10 min walk), the curry house across the road (extremely cheap), the golf club, nearby resorts. The pool was fantastic, with plenty of chairs and lounges, and the surrounding gardens were lovely. Although the "beach" is sprawling, the sand is not the glowing white sand you would imagine a Fiji beach to be (go to the islands for that!!). There was also a lot of rubbish on the beach and the water was not very clear - we didn't swim in the water once. There is a lot of construction going on within the grounds. Although it does not immediately affect the resort, the sight and noise of the cranes and the cement mixers impact the surroundings, especially when trying to relax around the pool. Its a 2.5hour drive from Nadi to get there (long way when travelling with kids). Weigh up the cost of getting there against the cheap cost of your stay Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Room not the cleanist (some bugs around) however other hotels […] I have stayed in in other tropical regions have the same issue. A bit of a drive from Nadi airport - about 2.5-3 hours. "Construction and noise"
Lovely old boutique hotel on a beautiful beach - quite run down - staff seem quite stressed - surrounded by noisy construction due to expansion. Perhaps once the construction is completed and the upgrade done it will be great but I go to this hotel (have been numerous times over last 11 years) because it is small, beautiful, and quite unique so I won't […] go again. The weather was fantastic which was great as it can rain a lot in Pacific Harbour. Some of the staff particularly the old staff who had been there for a while are fabulous, while some of the staff were quite rude which is a shock for Fiji, maybe they are stressed by the potential lay offs during the upgrade. "close to beach and it was beautiful beach."
I booked for garden view room, when I checked in, the room was not clean, bed cover was dirty and toilet and floor was not clean. on top of that, room was smelly. I didn't want stay in that room. when back to reception and told the guy the room was smelly, first he said will clean for me, than he spoken to his Manager and upgrade me to ocean view room […] in third floor (no lift), which was nicer room, but the bed sheet wasn't 4 star standard and room was clean but the towels need to change, it was old and had sport on them, even they changed every day. I was disappointed to see their swimming pool, it was small and only one pool, during the day full of kids, can't swim unless get up early in the morning or late at night. I think as 4 star resorts, they should have separate pool for children. Staffs were friendly especially when you give them tips. It’s two and half hours’ drive from Nadi airport, therefore transfer is not cheap(paid $450 fjd for return transfer) and there is no many restaurant around the resort, so you have no choice but din in the Resort's Restaurants and it's every expensive. A small cup of coffee cost $10fjd plus service fee. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

We spent two weeks in January 2014 at the Pearl and we had a fantastic stay. The staff were welcoming, friendly and eager to help you. The rooms are clean and serviced daily. There are a range of facilities available including the spa, pool, beach on the doorstep, golf course as well as on site trip booking. its relaxing and laid back. There are bars […] and restaurants on site and one at the golf course with free transfers to get there. Nearby, is the cultural centre which offers a good range of facilities like a supermarket, gift shops, restaurants an ATM and a post office. and other places to eat without having to go too far. The pool and beach are clean and well attended to. There are activities on offer within the resort which are free. Food is really nicely cooked and presented at any time of day.
