Convenient stay close to Airport. Comfortable room with great bedding for a resting night before flying the day after. Dinner at the italian restaurant was good but breakfast was better.

"A Layover in Style"
Good layover spot at Heathrow. It was less money by taxi than originally quoted by hotel staff over the phone, very reasonable. Had a delicious dinner in the Americana dining room. We slept really well. Great concierge service/front desk service as they advised on the viability of getting a quickie run by tube into London on New Year's morning to see a few sights. It was easy to do. There is a free bus just outside the hotel to the nearest Tube stop and from there we hopped on the Picadilly Line which took us straight into London. We managed to squeeze in King's Cross Platform 9 3/4 for our kids (Harry Potter) and also Big Ben & the Thames,(Peter Pan fans, too.) :) We then got back in time (just barely) to check out and head to the airport for our flight. My additional advice for other folks is to remember that if you intend to buy tube tickets at stations, your credit card must have a chip in it. They don't accept any others. So we had to briefly run to the nearby Holiday Inn (walking distance to the station) and use an ATM in their lobby as our cards were old-school.

"Welcome Relief after a Long Flight"
My son and I stayed overnight during a very long layover between Delhi and the US. The comfort of the hotel was wonderful after a 9-hour flight. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and the food in the sports bar was excellent (although quite pricey). The hotel is located within 5 minutes of Terminal 3 at Heathrow and there is a Hotelhopper bus that stops at the hotel door. Very convenient.

"Not the greatest Marriott experience"
We were a little disappointed having stayed at many good Marriott hotels before. The food and beverage service at both the restaurant and bar wasn't great, as I think they were a little overrun due to unexpectedly high occupancy levels, and the mattress in our room was quite uncomfortable and in need of replacement. At check in they also tried to move us to the Renaissance hotel down the road as they were overbooked and only "found" us a room when we told them we were Marriott Rewards members. Really quite disappointing!

"Disappointing for a Marriott"
Only overnight before returning home. Staff was friendly. Only complaint was the bed, which was like sleeping on mush. Other than that,service in the restaurant was slow, but food was ok and reasonable price for London. No free shuttle to the airport. But this is apparently a Heathrow/city of London restriction issue. Private taxi was 18 pounds to Terminal 4. There is a shuttle for 4.5 pounds each person but takes 35 minutes to terminal 4. I will stay at the Hilton next time, right next to that terminal. Heathrow is way spread out and I didn't really understand that before I booked.

"Nice room - bar needs an update"
Room great - check in great - we came late at night and the bar was the only thing open. Honestly the bar needs a good clean and the decor needs help too. Service really left a lot to be desired - 40 minutes waiting for a club sandwich - had to make a fuss before I could get a drink .. I know it was late (midnight) but for an airport hotel you would think they would have the late night thing figured out.

"Don't Stay Here Ever Very Dishonest Staff"
After a long days journey we arrived at the hotel. We were then told that they didn't have any rooms for us despite pre-paying and calling ahead to make sure there were going to be no problems. They then tried to ship us to a worse hotel that we didn't know anything abut with a cheaper worse room. They didn't even offer to give us a discount our anything. After talking with the staff further it turns out there were rooms available but we would only have one bed for the three of us. They then changed their story again and said that they did have our room but they were over booked and if they didn't send us away they would just need to send the next person away. Politely I kept asking them to please give me the double room I paid for. After an embarrassing 20min at the front desk they finally gave us our room that they had all along. I expected more at a Marriott. Don't stay here.

Stayed one night before our flight back to US. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Nothing to do or see in the area which is not surprising given how close it is to Heathrow. That said, our Hoppa bus driver suggested eating dinner at Pheasant Inn which is a short walk from hotel. Excellent recommendation!

"Exactly as expected"
We just had a quick stay for an overnight layover through Heathrow, but it was pleasant nonetheless. Being the Marriott, we had certain expectations of cleanliness, consistency, and quality, and they were met. The staff were friendly, and helped us figure out bus transportation from and to the airport.

"HUGE ROOMS. Close to Heathrow Terminals 1&2."
The room was huge and clean and soundproof. 24 hour room service and a bathtub meant that my last night in Europe after traveling abroad for two months was a luxurious one. Wi-fi is not free, but the hotel staff was accommodating and the room was more than comfortable.

"One night stay..."
I stayed at the hotel one night on a long layover headed back to the States. The service at the hotel was exemplary, particularly the young lady that assisted me at check-in. The price for the night was also very reasonable, and there was a bus that takes you to the airport every half hour for five pounds.

"Great stay!"
Really great hotel. We ordered room service both nights and the food was great. Nice shower, comfy (not scratchy) towels. The staff was great, very friendly and accommodating. My son needs his medication refrigerated and the froze the freezer packs to keep them cool for travel. Only complaint was our room looked towards the lobby, no view and the pillows were not great. Appear fluffy but fall very flat during the night. They had a taxi waiting for us in the morning at checkout to go to the airport but the bus stop is right outside if you need that, which we did to get to the underground for sightseeing.

"First time in London the staff was so helpful"
I was given such helpful information by the staff that I had no problems touring Central London alone. I was able to get great shots of the scenery, catch the trains and buses and actually make it back to the hotel without getting lost

"Great hotel at LHR"
We stayed at this hotel at the end of a two-week trip to England because of its proximity to Heathrow and the availability of two queen-sized beds for our family of four. The facility is large with a wonderful indoor pool/spa/sauna (open late!) and gym and two restaurants. Our server at the American Grille was outstanding, and the food was delicious and well-prepared. Transfers to the airport terminals are convenient and take only a few minutes.

"Airport convenience but that's about it."
The Heathrow Marriott was only an overnight stay for us, since our flight from the US getting in late. The proximity to the hotel was okay but there isn't a Marriott hotel shuttle from the airport, which wasn't clear when we booked. There is a multi-hotel district shuttle that runs until about 10:30pm and which costs about $9/person; and it's not walkable, so you're better off getting a cab anyway. Other than that, I'd say that the service was very basic for London and the attitude of the staff was average. The pub's food wasn't very good but we were hungry and it was late so we ate there anyway. The room was pleasant, comfortable and quiet -- what we wanted. There's only view of a roof and a wall but again, we were only there for the overnight convenience.

"Great hotel near Heathrow."
This was one of the best hotels I have stayed at in the UK. It is designed for business travelers, but great for family's as well. It would be good to have more US TV channel options. Also, the TV was sluggish to operate. The room temperature in both rooms used by my family seemed a touch warm. It took longer to cool than I thought it should. Beds were comfortable, but I would like to have had a separate sheet rather than only the duvet-comforter. A good frig was in each room. The breakfast was very good, but I expect that for a cost of about $20.00 per person (50 pounds for the 4 people in my family). This hotel is very close to the airport, and it costs about $7.00 (US) per person to ride the area shuttle that takes people to the airport. There is a McDonald's within a short walking distance to this hotel; all other restaurants near this property are in hotels.

"Typical airport hotel"
Typical airport hotel with an overpriced restaurant and lots of milling airline staff (seems to be the favored spot for Emirates Airlines). Beds were mediocre, but location can't be beat. Within the free city bus area to get to/from Heathrow and hotel staff was helpful in telling us where and how to pick it up.

It was great! My teens were very happy with the gym, which includes an erg. The room was wonderful, very comfortable. My only issues were that the restaurants are very expensive and the review doesn't mention that there's a fee for parking.

"Nice and noisy"
Hotel was nice. So was the staff. I didn't like the air conditioning. Room was no that cold. They gave us a fan and it helped a little. Biggest problem was the location of the room. It was next to the utility room and the elevator. Very noisy all night. So I didn't get any sleep.

"Bed? Or trampoline with a sheet on top?"
The hotel seemed nice. Clean, modern appearance. The main thing is to sleep and that was a disaster. This bed was beyond sprung. It felt like lying on a trampoline surface. It had no resistance or support, and several protrusions. It was broken in some way. I checked in there at midnight and needed to be up early the next day and this was not at all helpful. Beyond that the hotel seems to nickel and dime you for everything. The room itself was very expensive, but there is a separate and very high charge for everything including the shuttle to the airport. Would not stay there again.

"Overbooking problem"
We reserved our hotel room four months in advance in order to avoid any problems with the reservation. The idea was to spend our last night in Europe close to Heathrow, in order to minimize efforts getting to the airport in the morning. As soon as we arrive, I was informed that the hotel was overbooked, and that they were going to send us to a close-by hotel. I refused the offer, since my family was tired after many hours of traveling, and the fact that our reservation was confirmed a long time ago. After several minutes of discussing the situation with the front desk manager (and hearing multiple times that they didn't have any rooms available), we were finally assigned one of the executive rooms. If I hadn't insisted on the hotel honoring my reservation, we would've been sent to a lower class hotel. Even though they found a way to fix the problem, my beautiful family vacation was tainted by this incident, which shouldn't have happened in the first place.

We do our absolute best to avoid this situation from occurring, and do all we can to ensure our guests remain happy and comfortable. During such occurrences, we would only relocate a guest at a hotel of the same category as our own or higher. I am glad you were able to stay with us, as originally planned, and I do hope you choose to stay with us again should your travels bring you back to Heathrow.

"Nice place if you need to be close the airport."
If you need to stay close to the airport, this is an awesome location. The food at the hotel is insanely expensive.

"Weekends can be noisy"
We didn't hear any noise from the airport, but watch out if a wedding reception has been booked. Boom boom boom of loud music kept us up until 1 a.m.

"Convenient for airport"
Decent hotel, very convenient to Heathrow Airport. Our cost included breakfast, which was excellent. We did not use the wi-fi, for which they wanted $15. This is exorbitant, considering that most other hotels offer it for free.

If you would like WiFi it's an additional cost ($15) and if you would like to watch TV it is an additional charge ($15) I'm sure there are more additional charges but those are the ones we used.

"nice hotel close to the airport"
we spent one night on our way home between flights - nice comfortable beds - had breakfast included - it was a nice variety of hot and cold with fresh fruit and yogurt -- the only downside is that there is no free wifi in the rooms

"This was a great hotel and great staff."
