A mini statelyhome,excellent room, good buffet breakfast,fresh coffee, polite helpful staff. Good gym and pool, steam room etc all in clean working order.Good value for money. i have satayed at others in the Burnley area and this is the best by far.

Poor breakfast service - although food was pretty good. We only had one towel in the room between two of us, and there was no shampoo provided. First impressions are excellent - lovely grounds, entrance lobby and grand stair case. Stayed in Rm 352 on Sat 15th Sept. - Room presentable, complete lack of view from room (a roof and a brick wall) Excellent Tea & Coffee facilities. Now the downside was stepping on a foreign toenail clipping - having it stuck to my sock (not mine I hasten to add). […] The sink in the bathroom did not flow away straight away. The music from the function on Saturday evening. The tiny plates for cooked breakfast. The trek to get to the room - if you are going to have a drink ask for another room. You will get lost or fall down a few stairs. On the plus side the shower was great, hot running water was plentiful and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Read more

Was a nice weekend, my only complaint is about the room service breakfast, was cold by the time it arrived and wasnt the best to begin with, at twenty three pounds per person/meal, I expected better.

Hotel was lovely and rooms very clean. I only stayed one night. Breakfast was ok. Cooked breakfast could have been warmer and plates cold. The price of pint of lime and soda for £3.30 was the most expensive water and a dash if lime ever!

We have always enjoyed our stays at the Oaks ,the staff cannot do enough for you. Some of the decor is a little dated but the facilities more than make up for it. Breakfast was ok but nothing special,the bacon was very fatty and greasy.

Hotel was ok and good value for the low price, Spa facilities very nice but hotel restaurant had no atmosphere, was over priced and had a wedding party crossing across the restaurant to get to the function room which was distracting. Immediate location of hotel fine, easy to find but 5 mins down the road the area is run down and very uninviting.

The room was Clean and tidy, the lesiure area was a brilliant addtion to the overall experience with helpful friendly staff and a nice friendly atmosphere and i must say, the food was amazing, highly recommended for a cheap and cheerful break.

Our stay at the oaks was great. The staff on reception were lovely and very helpful regarding the surrounding area. They printed timetables for us for local buses and we enjoyed the stay.Room was warm and snug Hotel bar was inviting and the night porter was entertaining

The quality and service of this hotel is a disgrace. I’m really not usually one to complain, but my recent experience at The Oaks was no less than appalling. Firstly, no-one was on reception to check us in for 20 minutes and we had to look for a member of staff, who was less than friendly. We had our dinner, which was ok but not worth the price, wandered […] back to our room only to hear the sound of dogs barking in both rooms adjacent to ours! Coupled with this, the fire exit was propped open with a brick, letting the freezing cold January weather in right next to our room. A member of staff was wandering nearby, so we mentioned the door and he closed it and said that someone must have taken their dog for a walk and left it open (as if it was just ‘one of those things’). We asked about the barking dogs and were met with the same nonchalant response and said that they’d ‘calm down in a bit.’ Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind animals, but my Mum and I were intending on having a relaxing spa break, not sleeping in kennels! We were told that there were only 2 single rooms left in the hotel (though we only saw approx 10 people in total), asked if we'd like to take ‘one’ of those as the bed was ‘more like a small double.’ We were given the options of driving to the other side of Burnley to their other hotel at 10pm at night, take the ‘kennel’ room or take the single room for a £10 reduction, which was quite frankly a downright insult! I chose this as it looked like a nice country house with a leisure club.. In fact it was a very tired old place. It was probably very nce once, but a bit dusty for me. The room was ok, but just ok - Decor, fixtures and fittings were very old fashioned and the bedding was far beyond its best - a very boring experience, but ok as a last resort.

Ancien couvent! Je viens tous les mois en déplacement à Burnley et je ne suis jamais déçue des prestations qu'offrent cet hôtel! Petit déjeuner varié.Le Spa avec Hammam, Sauna, Jaccusis (2) + piscine est tout simplement magnifique et très agréable! La salle de sport est également très bien équipé! J'ai passé une trentaines de nuits la bas en 2011; Hotel tres confortable, vraiment arrangeant; les chambres sont assez spacieuses et propres; pour en avoir testé une quinzaine différentes, la 163 & 165 sont à refuser car près de la ventilation; pour les autres c'est tout bon avec un bonus en 144, un joli lit à baldaquin.
