We enjoyed our stay. The hotel employees were so helpful and friendly. It was perfect for us as we cold walk to the convention center to watch our granddaughter play volleyball.

The hotel was fine but honestly the room itself was nothing to get excited about. Don't let the name fool you into thinking that the standard rooms are any better then a Holiday Inn (for example). Sure, they have nice furniture and $6 bottles of water if that's what you're into. Again, not a bad room but we picked it for the location.

we had a wonderful time. i think the rooms need to be updated and have fridge's in them and they need to have the air conditioner updated as our room was very hot.

Overall, its not a bad hotel. but there were a few things that frustrated me for the price. 1. The shower took 5 minutes for the water to get hot. 2. you pay $16-18 for parking and wasnt anywhere to park. i found a very tight spot and got a door ding from it. 3. The ATM was out of service. so you have to walk a block outside to get to an ATM. again...not […] a big deal but when its snowing outside...not something you want to do. Chose this hotel based on proximity to power and light. Rooms were small but accomodated our needs. Make sure all the per diem items in the room, like the Figi water, are actually in your room when u check in. Ours wasn't refilled upon cleaning and could have gotten charged for it. Overall a good experience.

Beautiful old hotel with so much beauty and nostalgic charm. We so enjoyed the rooms and amenities. The bar is very small and was crowded but service was great and drinks were excellent. Just a short walk to the Sprint Center for a concert. Will definitely stay again!

Wish we could've stayed longer and enjoyed the old time feel. Enjoyed the overall feeling of the hotel. Room was great, room service--awesome, front desk--great, definitely recommend valet services. Liked the Drum Room, unfortunately, we didn't get to spend a lot of time there. It was an enjoyable experience.

Several Concerns: 1. The "free valet parking sign was very misleading. When you are manuvering in traffic, you don't have time to read the "details" - and by the time you get to the desk - your car has been parked and then you find out it is an extra $18/day. 2. The hotel was in a great location, close to everything we wanted to do in downtown KC. The hotel was also very well decorated. The room service was excellent. The bed was very comfortable. On the other hand, the A/C in our room did not work very well, and it got very warm during the day. The internet connection was spotty and would frequently drop. […] Unloading and loading our luggage from the parking garage was not easy. It rained one night we were there and you have to walk outside from the parking garage to get to the hotel. The bathroom only had one weak light, so it was very dark, and the fan did not work. A fridge in the room would have been a nice idea. But overall, it was a fairly comfortable place to stay and the location is hard to argue with. Read more

I will definitely stay there again. This was my first time to the Sprint center and staying at your hotel made it better loved the walking distance, not only to Sprint but the other shops downtown. Oh and of course the coffee in the room was very good.

We were all coming from various corners of the state and would all be driving - and the decription indicated that there would be no additional fee for parking. The top lock wasn't on our door and when we called to get it fixed no one ever responded. Our shower was either burning hot or freezing cold and it alternated between the two. Double beds were barely big enough for two people and we aren't big people. Bedding was nice. Hotel in general was clean.

The hotel staff was friendly but on arrival we could not find anyone. After 20 minutes of not seeing a valet we went to the desk to give the car keys to them for valet parking. Then when we checked into the room we discovered that someone had been working in the closet sawing a hole in the sheetrock.
