Hotel was close to the airport so that great.But I hate hate hate all the parking fees in San Franciso.
Location.
Located in the energetic South of Market District in San Francisco, Calif., sits The St. Regis San Francisco. The hotel consists of the historic, 40-story Williams Building and the Museum of the African Diaspora. The vibrant Yerba Buena Gardens are located across the street. The San Francisco Museum of Art and Metreon Center are one block from the property. Positioned two blocks away are the Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco Shopping Center and the Moscone Convention Center. Also within walking distance is Union Square.
Hotel Features.
Polished marble floors, ebony iron sculptures and a modern fireplace greet guests in the lobby of The St. Regis San Francisco. Chef Greg Dunmore serves New American, California-style cuisine accenting Japanese flair and fresh seafood within Ame restaurant. Limited edition sakes and a 300 bottle list of fine wines compliment Ame's menu. Within Vitrine's brilliantly illuminated atmosphere comfort foods, incorporating fresh fish selections from Japan's Tsukiji Fish Market, are provided.
Remède Spa provides spa tubs, saunas, steams rooms and treatments. Couples treatment rooms are also available. The hotel features a 50-foot indoor lap pool on the sixth floor. A 5,700-square-foot fitness center showcasing cardiovascular equipment and free weights sits adjacent to the infinity pool. The hotel provides a business center, meeting rooms and wireless Internet access. Guests are given complimentary access to a Bentley that provides one-way transportation within three miles each evening.
Guestrooms.
The 260 guestrooms feature broad windows that allow an abundance of natural light to filter into rooms. Leather-stitched walls and Mozambique wood doors highlight stark-white linens draped in natural-colored bed scarves and Pratesi linens. Bedside controls maneuver drapes, adjust temperature, change lighting and modify music selections. Stone-tiled bathrooms offer rainfall Showerheads, deep soaking tubs, 13-inch flat-panel televisions and Rèmede toiletries.
Standard amenities include 42-inch televisions with combination CD/DVD players. High-speed wireless Internet access (surcharge), fax machines, printers, scanners and photocopy machines are provided. Connecting/adjoining rooms are available, and all guestrooms are non-smoking.

Ame - Intimate L-shaped dining room with mesquite-wood floors and striking décor. New American, California-style cuisine with emphasis on fresh seafood, a sashimi bar, and raw treatments such as crudo, tartare, and carpaccio. Signature “red table” for eight guests. Limited-edition sakes and 300-bottle wine cellar. Reservations recommended. Dinner nightly.
Vitrine - Light-filled, 74-seat restaurant on the fourth floor, with terrace seating available. Breakfast menu changes seasonally. Lunch menu changes daily. Lunch menu of refined comfort food includes a daily fish selection from Japan's Tsukiji Fish Market. Breakfast and lunch and served daily; open for brunch on Sundays.
Lobby Bar - Bar menu and full bar. Open late morning to late evening.
Room service - Available 24 hours.
On the hotel's sixth floor is a 50-foot indoor infinity lap pool and a 5,700-square-foot fitness center with a wide variety of cardio equipment and free weights. Within Remède Spa are separate women's and men's spa tubs, saunas, and steam rooms, and use of these facilities is complimentary with a spa treatment.
Across the street, the Rooftop at Yerba Buena Gardens includes an ice-skating rink, a bowling alley, a small playground, and a carousel. One mile away, the Embarcadero offers a bayside promenade popular for walking, biking, jogging, and in-line skating. A seasonal ice-skating rink is located at the Embarcadero Center.
Boating, fishing, sailing, and surfing are offered at various areas around the San Francisco Bay, including several beaches within three to 10 miles of the hotel. The Presidio Golf Course, four miles from the hotel, is open to the public.

South of Union Square, the convention center area includes the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Cable cars turn around at Powell and Market streets to head back to Fisherman’s Wharf.

"Incompetent Staff"
The front desk made us wait for an hour to check in. When we returned to check in, we had to wait for another 30-40 minutes. Almost two hours were wasted just to get our room. The room was very nice. But overall, the quality of their customer service did not match up to the quality of their amenities--and the price tag.

Designed beautifully, room was pretty large, bathroom was gorgeous!! Bed was comfortable at first, but I woke up with a stiff back. Maybe it's because I'm spoiled at home because my bed is super comfortable. My only complaint is that we had no cell phone service in the room. Otherwise, great hotel, great location!

Outstanding hotel room and bath room, but difficult to enjoy the room when one has to go to the lobby or to the street to answer and use cell phone. The hotel staff told us that this was only the case in certain rooms, but was a black mark on our stay,as we had many incoming calls on the cell phone. "Absolutely Perfect"
The room was amazing. The shower was the size of my first studio, the tub was extremely comfortable (I am 6'1"), and the bed and linens were top of the line. Everything was automated in the room, which was amazing. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft. The location was quiet and located near everything of value. Bodde på hotellet i forbindelse med Oracle Open World 2011. Hotellet hadde perfekt beliggenhet i forhold til konferansen (Moscone Senteret) og resten av byen. Det er lett å like hotellet. "St. Regis San Francisco - great but pricey"
Couldn't have asked for a nicer hotel or friendlier staff but my wallet is still suffocating. And no free Internet - come on, it's not the 90's anymore!
