"Not what we expected"
I did not enjoy our stay here. We had booked a room with a jacuzzi, but on arrival, we were "upgraded" to a suite - but that just meant a set of two rooms with four beds total (for only two people). The jacuzzi rooms were all being used for spa services. And that's the big issue with this hotel - they focus on the spa portion. As a hotel, they don't […] really know what they are doing. They tried, but everything seemed amateurish - breakfast was served every morning, but it was always cold by the time they brought it to the room. They cleaned the room some days, but never took the garbage out - other days, they didn't clean at all. We scheduled a ride to the town one day, because we had a specific appointment for island-hopping, and the driver wasn't around when the time actually came. The location is also pretty terrible - as noted, they have a shuttle that will take you on demand, but you have to pay to get back each time. And it's a long enough journey to be a deterrent - we tried to prepare in the morning for any eventuality instead of making multiple trips. That meant we ended up with a bunch of stuff to carry around all day. It would have been much nicer to stay somewhere close to the beach, and be able to pop home at short notice to change clothes or just relax for a bit between activities. All that in mind, I can't recommend this place. I feel like the descriptions are misleading, and they don't provide the level of service they claim to. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful small hotel!"
The hotel is a bit far from the beaches, but the charm of the hotel and quiet of the area is well worth the short tricycle ride to White Beach. The staff were wonderful and attentive. The trip was wonderful, I'd love to go back!Genuine Expedia guest review
"quiet retreat in boracay,"
hotel located about 10 minutes drive from D Mall the main shopping area of Boracay, beautiful gardens, rooms quite nice, management a bit disorganised as every time you wanted something the relevant manager or staff member was not there so you always seemed to be waiting around for a lift into town, to get question answered or to get something out of […] safety deposit etc., the english owner is a very nice lady, overall my stay was enjoyable, breakfast very basic consisting of toast and jam and needs to be improved. The service could be improved, staff generally friendly. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Very good hotel, very nice people and the service was very good to as long as we stay there.the room was very nice and they clean it evry day. it was a very nice experience with very good memories:))) i recommend to the others who want to visit. the hotel wasn't near to the beach but they order trasportation for free ))Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Relaxing hotel with friendly staff"

Date of stay: June 5th 2013 LOCATION: Hotel's located far from the White Beach in Brgy. Manoc Manoc (quiet side of Boracay) so expect that rooms don't have a view and no nearby restaurants/shops where you can dine or buy stuff (you can request though for a free transfer from the hotel to D'Mall). Going back to the hotel though requires you to take a trike for 75 pesos from D'Mall. ROOM: have stayed in the jacuzzi suite - as its name suggests, there's an en suite jacuzzi. You'll arrive at the hotel with the jacuzzi tub half-filled with flower petals but that's all (jacuzzi was not functioning when we arrived due to the water supply problem). Room airconditioning installed is a 1HP window-type that's good enough to cool the entire room. Room's got a queen-sized bed with 4 pillows. All rooms had this ambient, zen-inspired music running 24/7 so be sure to request from the front-office to adjust volume levels before you go to sleep if you are a light sleeper. SERVICE: You'll arrive at the hotel with welcome drinks (a glass of iced-tea), nothing fancy but better than nothing. Again with the transfer, you need to arrange this with the front-office but you're on your own when going back to the hotel. They also offer spa services (did I forget to mention that this hotel is indeed a Spa Hotel?) at stellar prices. 120USD for the signature massage which is just 2 hours of combination massage and yoga. AMENITIES: there's a pool that's 7 or 8 feet deep. There's a "tea-area" where you can just sit and chat or meditate. This is also where breakfast is served. If you are a first-timer in Boracay and would want a quiet, romantic place to stay, I suggest you book in a different hotel where the restaurants and shops are closer. But if you really wanted to stay here, make sure you load up with food and drinks (there's a fridge inside the suite). And make sure you inquire in advance if the jacuzzis are running!
"Still the excellent service i hoped for"

Had the chance to go back to this hotel after a year away and was expecting something different as most reviews have said that this has now been transitioned into a Spa. Arriving at the island, I was met at the port and was quickly ferried by the hotel van. My room was in front of the pool with a nice jacuzzi tub at the back and a rainshower adjacent. Nice clean rooms, attentive staff, and as a returning guest, i was given an upgrade to the jacuzzi suites. All in all i still got what i wanted, a nice cozy garden spot where i could spend the afternoons in quiet solitude by the pool and have a leisurely evening along the beach which is about a couple of minutes aways by van. Best to try out the signature massage. Thanks again for the wonderful vacation.
"great service . . bad location"

the service was great but place was orginal made to be SPA house. then things changed to be hotel. Rooms are OK. but not worth price you pay for extra Jacuzzi in room. that you will never use. Hotel is quite area. and nothing close walking distance. but one good thing you can have nice private time in garden. Swimming pool is nice but not for kids and actual swimming.
"Not what we paid for"

We had originally decided to go for Boracay Hills since it was away from the noise of the beach front and secluded, however it turned out that there were building works going on next door which woke us up before 7am each morning which wasn't ideal. We opted for Boracay Hills due to the good reviews on Tripadvisor, however it wasn't quite what it seemed...we had paid for one of their new Garden Jacuzzi Suites which boasted new facilities (i had been sent photos from Karen before we arrived) and our own private jacuzzi hottub. However when we arrived, we were informed that there were 'things being installed in our room' so we had been upgraded to the Honeymoon suite instead. None of the jacuzzi suites were available when i asked - they were all being worked on. Unfortunately, although the room was lovely and big and had a nice terrace overlooking the pool, the bathroom lacked the hottub (which had been the real selling point to us) and was rather old. The shower didn't work properly and generally the whole suite was just a bit dated. In heinsight we should have complained/moved out, but since it was our first trip together we just decided to enjoy our time there instead rather than complain. As our trip continued, it became apparent that NONE of the garden suites advertised were ready, and we believe that is where the builders noise was coming from. SO BE WARNED IF YOU WANT ONE OF THESE ROOMS! We are sure they knew they wouldn't be ready when we arrived, but rather than lose out on our business, they 'upgraded' us upon arrival when it was too late for us to change our minds. The pool is a nice size, although when we first arrived no one had cleaned it so there were quite a lot of leaves around on the surface. When we wanted to use it the following day, they were cleaning it, but after saying 'it will be ready in 5 minutes' it took a further hour and a half so we had our time wasted a bit there. The buildings at the hotel are used by the Helios Spa, so I think most of the advertised 'hotel' rooms are actually spa rooms when not used - their 'gym hut' (on their website) was full of bed frames which we recognised from their website photos. I think its basically a spa which they advertise as a hotel to get more guests to stay. A further slight disappointment was the 'continental breakfast' which turned out to be 4 slices of toast each and some tea... On a plus, the staff were very nice and friendly, and did help us with any queries and issues we had (removing a small lizard from our room one evening) and the shuttle bus was very useful. The room was cleaned daily and we had fresh flowers to come home to each evening. All in all, our holiday itself to Boracay was brilliant, but that was due to the beaches and atmosphere at the front predominantly rather than the hotel. Unfortunately, i think its a spa trying to be a hotel, and fobbing people off by saying 'we are installing things in your room' rather than admitting that the room we had booked wasn't built yet was not good management. Just be careful if wanting to book here - I feel we ended up overpaying for what we got, considering it advertises such a high standard of rooms.
""i became famous!""

it was a blessing that i chose boracay hills while we were in boracay. i became famous as a filipino who brought friends from china. as we came back after 3 nights stay, my 2 friends collected lots of pictures of boracay including the place of our accommodation. Their whole family saw it, and they were so amazed with the style and fantastic views of the place, they thought it was already the boracay beach, hehehe. their family so pleased that i took cared of them. i personally thank edmond by bringing back my backpack likewise to karen and john, i almost lost it...took one day but still recover...... thanks also to michael who shared some lifestyle story in boracay and the "tuko". thanks for smoking with us during midnight hehehe. place is so peaceful, executive suite....huge! we thought we were asked to pick one from that floor, but we didnt know, it was all ours....hahaha price is reasonable, but hope i could ask for a little more discount next time.... also the one who always prepare for our breakfast though we woke up so late yet we still have....thank you, sorry forgot your name.....also to chad, thanks for making us laughed. going out at night even midnight....no problem, you would not hesitate to ask for it, because they will offer it.....thanks also for suggested places to eat....my friends appreciated so much, they enjoyed..... boracay hills a well known resort hotel in boracay, everyone knows it..... ask for help?, service?, suggestions?....they all have it....better yet, they all give it.... thanks guys and see you soon!!!
"Nice facility, But Poorly Managed"
08/16/11 Hubert W Kalamazoo, Michigan
The family stayed at this facility for three nights. During that period the room was only cleaned once. The toilet did not work properly and had to be "fixed" by the staff no less than three times. Perhahs for future reference, the staff might replace the working parts to ensure that it does work. The bathroom reeked with an oder not suitable for humans. It was not cleaned during the visit. Nor was the bed linen changed.

I originally booked this room for 5 nights and to move to a beachfront hotel when my friends got there. I wanted somewhere a little more secluded and safe. I was welcomed by a bunch of builders renovating the main building and constructing a spa outhouse with the noise from 7am to 5pm and therefore stopping any use of the pool. Not a great start. My room as spacious as it was, had no telephone, dirty sheets with stains i can only describe as ointment/oil marks, smelly toilet and a shower that offered cold or tepid water...struggling to pump out any water. I checked out the next day to go and stay at the Surfside Resort which was great. When i told the girl about the sheets she offered no apology and just shrugged leaving me to believe that this is a common problem. I fail to believe how anyone would think this was an equivalent to a 5*, the only 5* service they offered was a shuttle service out of the place.
"Loved the setting and the hosts"

Our family loved this place. We are Brits so loved the owner Helen and the manager who are also Brits. Thye were friendly but not intrussive, helpful and friendly. Our room over looked the pool with it's own terrace. Breakfast was very good but had to pay for the cooked one. Didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food. Too much choice down in town to stay at the hotel. The grounds of the hotel were beautifully maintained with a lovely large pool. Room clean and the beds comfortable. The bathrooms had a selection of bath goods. The is a shuttle service into to town and down to the port which is free. It was nice to be in quite environment but being accessible to DMall. Thanks you for a great and memorable stay!

We spent a week at Boracy Hills and just loved it! Fantastic quiet and relaxing place on a buissy and aventurus island. Really good people working there. You feel like you really are beeing taken good care of. The staff is really nice, and take the extra time helping you with advices of how to get at fun vacation. The manager is a really great guy! The place is just beautiful :) A very special and unique hotel.

This is a beautiful resort, it feels like home from the great staff to the whole setting. My room walked out into a cozy patio where I could sit and lounge with the garden and swimming pool just in front of me. Not that far from the beach, this resort provides peace and quiet from the chaos at the beach. This may be the perfect place to hold a wedding as well.
