We stayed at the Terraces after being out on the Yasawas for three weeks. After being on the islands, this place will seem like pure heaven. Don't get me wrong, the islands are beautiful, but the rooms are very basic. When we walked into the Terraces it put the biggest smile on our faces. There is a washer/dryer in every unit (which was perfect for […] us because everything we had was dirty), and they will sell you laundry detergent for a few dollars, great deal. The flat screen TV was a great surprise as well, and the bed was amazing. The shower pressure is the best I've ever had at a hotel. The pool area is gorgeous, and our patio walked right out onto it. All in all, this place is perfect for people who are going out to the islands or coming back from the islands because its a 2 minute walk to the marina, and all the shopping. Make sure you tell them you need a taxi to the airport the night before, we did that and it was perfect, the guy showed up 20 minutes early and everything was very easy but the front desk said it can be a problem getting them in the morning if you dont reserve the night before. The hotel provided us with a perfect base to explore nearby surrounds. Proximity to shopping and restaurants was excellent (minutes away by walking) and very frequent buses made access to Nadi and major bus routes very convenient. Self catering facilities gave genuine option to either eat in or go out.

The Terraces is a small resort that is perfect for travellers wanting to get away from the crowds associated with the bigger resorts. We booked the Terraces for one week for 2 adutls and 2 children, the apartment suited our needs and the size of it was adequate. It is located close to the port and the facilities which we found useful. There is a bar at the pool which serves breakfast, snacks and cold drinks, we only had drinks as the food options were limited. There is a nearby supermarket […] at the port but this is not well stocked and we were eating out more then we would have liked. There is a Bula Bus which you pay $7 per person for the day and you can visit the other hotels on the island. Had a lovley holiday. Excellent and convenient Location, opposite the Port Marina for Activities, Day Cruises, Shopping and Food Amenties. The Self-Catering Apartment with kitchen and laundry was clean, spacious and comfortable for my family. Staff were helpful and friendly. They are suspicious and rude at times and not giving you level of service expected for what we pay. One reception staff was insensitive and rude. Took 3 reminders to get a light bulb fixed they seem to ignore […] maintenance issues raised. Staff not wanting to give or replace bath towels as kids used them often. Still did not fix clothes dryer. They need to learn basic ongoing people management skills. Need to replace old and damaged cutlery. Reservation manager extended checkout time to 4pm instead if 10am , then at 11.30am asked us to leave by 12pm. That was pathetic. Pool was fantastic and we enjoyed our time in there. Great parking facilities, ice making facilities. There may not be similar apartments in the area which makes guests choose this property. Would go there again with very little expectations. We spent nine days at the Resort in a one bedroom Appartment which is well placed to visit and use the facilities of the other Resorts on Denarau Island. Being a older retired couple, things that are important to us are comfort and ease of access in the geneal use of the Appartment. The Lounge seats are too deep and the back very low which did not allow […] one to relax. We tried placing extra cushions to support the upper body and neck but this did not work, while placing the seat against a wall did help as it supported the cushion and therefore the neck and head, the seats were still too deep to let your legs be on the floor and support your back.The seats looked nice and are in good condition and may be ok for younger people. The kitchen was generally well equiped,nice big Fridge, but the tray with the Coffee machine on it and the Toaster took up most of the working space. The Microwave was placed at knee height on a shelf and was difficult to use, and the Extractor Fan placed so low that your head often came in contact with the very sharp corner while using the gas top. We would have liked more storage space for clothes and perhaps some drawers. Two of the four coat hangers were broken.We did enjoy our stay, there was a nice pool and the Breakfast by the pool gave generous servings.We were on the ground floor and did experience some noise from above espescially with chairs being draged across the floor. Overall the experience was 'okay'. The rooms really need to be updated and repaired. We were at the Sheraton Villas for 5 days earlier and there is a HUGE difference in finishes but more importantly, the general condition of the rooms ie. dusty curtains & benches, dirty walls and marks, 'creaky stairs' etc. For a few dollars more, its Sheraton Villas […] agian for our family of 5. Great Location and facilities. The apartments were spacious clean and extremely comfortable. Staying at the Terraces allows you the freedom to easily walk around Denarau Island, or if you feel lazy, jump on the Bula bus and enjoy the facilities of the other "big" hotels. It also has a little supermarket, which is great for stocking up the apartment for cheaper eating options. In other reviews it was described as the little quiet hotel amongst the busy one's and this was true. We walked a few days to the sofitel, hilton and Westin (lovely hotels) but were happy to get back to the Terraces pool where we had it pretty much to ourselves. The staff at the hotel were also great and any request was promptly answered or fixed. It was also close to the golf and racquet club which was extremely handy. I have stayed there before as it is walking distance to the Port, shops, restaurants. It has nice pool including a lap pool, lovely gardens and self contained, therefore spacious. The rooms needs to be maintained, eg kept freshly painted and furniture that doesn't look worse from wear. I have just returned from 7 day break in Fiji with my 2yr old and can't wait to go back! This is my third visit to Denerau and I decided to take a punt on The Terraces because of a great special they offered ( I have previously stayed at The Raddisson - but this time it was 1.5k more expensive for their basic room the suite was 2.5k more expensive which […] is a slighter larger than the 1 brm apartment at The Terraces). Bcause of price, I wasn't expecting much, but ended up being thrilled about our time there as the apartments are tastefully decorated, generous in size, v clean and well equipped. The staff were fantastic and the location is excellent (a 2 min walk to Port Denerau shops, restaurants, tours, cruises and entertainment etc Friday night show is free and v good). Whilst there isn't direct beach access, it is v easy to jump on the Bula Bus (Fj $7 all day pass) for a beach day or a cocktail/meal or swim @ any resort. Easy & Fantastic! I must also mention that whilst the 'fijiian' experience (including decor) & 5* customer service wasn't as pronounced at The Terraces, the quieter pace really contributed to my being able to wind down. It is worth noting, the first thing that hit us @ other resorts was the general din (of happy kids/families screaming and whoopin). Whilst that might be your bag, The Terraces was decidely quieter and chilled. So, If you want value from your accomodation and it is not your first time visiting FIJI I totally recommend The Terraces. Read more

we arrived at our destination after being on the go for 13 hours, the staff at reception were very welcoming and helpful. The 2 bed apartment was clean and spacious, very helpful being on two levels this meant that our youngest children could sleep on the sleeper couch, wake up early and not trouble us lazy sleepers with their noise. the location […] of the terraces meant we were right on the doorstep of port Denarau and all its shops and restaurants etc, it is much cheaper to eat there than at the resorts, cardos is good, mama Pizzas is awesome for a cheap family dinner. the added bonus of staying in denarau is although you are staying at one place, you can visist all the resorts on the island by getting on the bula bus and spend your day there, lots of choice and very friendly staff throughout. This was our second visit to Denarau and we thoroughly enjoyed it, we liked the terraces for its handy location and freindly helpful staff, the room was serviced every day, towels were changed and beds made. i could probably stay there again, the price meant we could stay one xtra night for the same price as 5 nights in the resorts. very good value for money in a quiet location but lots more benefits. its probably not suited for family to stay there full time as it is a bit quiet, but with the resorts on your doorstep a different experience can be had every day.
