The only negative part of it was the shower. The water does not stay in the shower area but goes into the rest of the bathroom area - making walking a bit precarious at times. Hotel was a mixed bag. Clean, comfortable, great amenities, friendly and helpful staff and great experience personally, but service staff made a number of errors that had the potential to tarnish the experience and the hotel itself is far from the centre of split and any sites. We were lucky with our stay - the hotel couldn't find our reservation that […] we had pre-paid. It took them a few hours, but in the end, they upgraded us to a junior suite. When we tried to leave, they also tried to charge us an additional A$1,000 for our 4 night stay, and it took 30 mins to sort out that we shouldn't be charged the additional amount. The suite was brand new and well presented (although their colour choice of purple everywhere was initially overwhelming!). The bathroom was modern and clean and the room was very spacious with a great view of the ocean, islands and local beach from each of the rooms and the balcony. The bed and lounges were very comfortable. The spa and two pools were great and easily accessible. One other potential issue is the distance of the hotel to split. There are three buses an hour to split, or its a ~50 kuna taxi ride to split. Not a big deal, since a little planning can ensure you can get anywhere you wish. Good for a holiday, and excellent for a business stay. Overall, a good stay, although I will probably stay at one of the islands in the Dalmatian coast next time instead of basing ourselves at Split. Very new so many teething problems including unrequested porno movies! Coffee shop food good but decor throughout hotel very odd including fish imprinted on bedroom . 2 plastic chairs by side of bed just get in the way , cupboard when open blocks route to bathroom.Not ready for tourists but probably ok for Business folk.

Like all Radison Blu hotels this is a modern and well kept hotel. It is situate on the beach, and the staff are attentive andcurteous. However the food was pretty "standard" and overall feel was the the price was slightly OTT given the quality of the hotel. If visiting Split again I would look to another location for a bit more "VFM"

It was the worst accommodation on our trip to date. The waiter was intimidating and insisted on a westernized dish I get at home in a local club, which is not what I wanted! the pillows wer terrible, both of us waking up with sore necks. The personal touch of the smaller hotels was not there.

We loved our stay here. Our room was lovely - large and spacious, with a balcony (we could see the mountains and sea - more expensive rooms are likely to get the better sea views). It had very good size bathroom - the walk in shower was great. The outdoor pool was very nice - plenty of sunloungers around it. I loved being able to look out on the sea […] while swimming. There was also an indoor swimming pool in the spa area. There was a beach bar, but you had to pay extra to use the sun loungers there, so we preferred to stay by the outdoor pool. There were some sun loungers on the beach which were free - but were in use when we went down to the beach. The beach was rocky. The breakfasts were great - you could sit outside on the terrace. There was a big choice of foods, including omlettes cooked to order, nice pastries and fruit, as well as hot food eg bacon and sausages. We ate in the Caper Grill restaurant one evening and had a lovely meal. There was also the Fig leaf restaurant which was a buffet, but this seemed to be for the groups. The Door Bar also had seats on the terrace - lovely for a drink in the evening - again looking over the sea. There was a desk where you could book excursions. You would be picked up from the hotel to go on these. The local bus 17 had a bus stop just up the road, which was very convenient for going into the centre of Split. Read more

As expected for a corporate style hotel relaly. The big plusses were the sea views (although new buildings are being constructed right in front fo the hotel) and the spa services. I enjoyed the onsen and relaxation room and it was all pretty clean. The rooms are well furnished with the usual things you expect. The one thing I didn't like was the delineation […] between the bathroom and bedroom, or rather lack of! There is one glass door that doesn't lock and isn't soundproof. You can hear a pin drop if the TV isn't on. Dreadful if one is sharing with someone else. I have noticed this creeping trend amongst hotels, it looks pretty, but I'd rather have concrete walls and a proper door any day of the week. That aside it's a relaxing hotel to stay at, but be aware it isn't that close to the bus station or Diocletian's palace. You would need a bus or taxi. Read more

This is a place for the tour bus crowd. Great facility but too far out of town. If you go to Split you don't want to be so far away from the sightseeing and the night life. It is a ten minute can ride awaywhich during the day is okay. At night not so cool.

A great Resort with a full range of facilities/restaurants etc. A pleasant walk along the waterfront to the Centre of Split (about 40 mins and plenty of cafes along the way). We went here 1st night of our honeymoon and the hotel was very welcoming and went to extra effort for us. The hotel pool and spa facilities are great. Restaurant also pleasant. Beach area is fine but a little walk and only VIP sun bed area where you can rent one. Bus into town every 20min and about £2 return.

The Hotel itself was modern and reasonably nice. Was great if you wanted to have a swim at the beach behind the property and the breakfast buffet was also good and in a pleasant environment. One key issue is that you cannot walk to the town centre (old city) / port for ferrys. A cab ride will cost 50 kn (local currency - about $9US each way). Spent 3 nights at the Radisson Blu Resort Split in June 2012. Lovely stay. Room and service were excellent and the views are lovely. Wonderful facilities though we only found out about the resort's private beach towards the end of our stay, which was disappointing - there was no information about resort facilities in our room. Similarly, we also found […] it difficult to find out information about the hotel restaurant that is down on the beach. We walked into the riva and palace each day along the waterfront. It's a bit of a hike, probably 3-4km, but certainly walkable for anyone of decent fitness. It would be useful if the resort operated a free minibus service into the riva every so often. We asked, and were given information about the public bus service, which seemed a bit complicated. Overall though we had a very positive experience and it was good value for money. Read more

Due to our early arrival our rooms were not available. Constant requests for information over 3.5 hrs were met with the same response, 14:00 hrs. I asked for the manager to resolve the problem but not until 13:45 were we given rooms. Not good customer service. In fairness to the hotel, they gave us sparkling wine on arrival and each room received a […] bottle of bubbly & basket of fruit in compensation. A bright and spacious lobby, modern and comfortable rooms, excellent spa facilities, a beautiful outdoor pool and easy access to a small beach with free loungers and sunshades - these are the highlights of this hotel. The terraces provided very relaxing spaces in which to eat and drink. Decided to eat in the hotel on the first evening - but we were very disappointed. There was a buffet choice - the salads were fine - but the main courses were not very nice at all and the puddings were not to our taste. It may be that we simply chose the wrong evening (the menu changes daily), but we didn't go back. Some travellers may be disappointed to find that alongside this hotel there is a building site on which stands the shell of an apartment block. There is no building taking place, but from some areas of the hotel the view is not good (didn't bother us in the least - we simply looked in a different direction!) Other travellers may have to consider the distance into Split - a 40 minute walk along the coast or a taxi ride. We walked and again it was no problem - but it may not suit everyone! Read more

Stayed 4 nights in this stylish hotel and couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. Located in a quiet, developing area just a 10 minute (£6) taxi ride from busy Split, or a 40min seafront walk past a little harbour , several bars and the town beach. Hotel is funky and modern. Communal areas clean, bright and airy. Restaurant and pool terraces […] have stunning views across to the islands. Reception staff spoke good English and there were bookable excursions Mon - Fri from the hotel Booked a standard room in main hotel (there is a wing with "economy" rooms), unable to guarantee sea view at time of booking. Reception staff apologetically described a "partial" sea view but in fact we had a fabulous vista from the 7th floor of mountains, beach, sea and islands. Downtown Split is not attractive - being ringed with high rise, somewhat shabby apartment blocks but keep looking out to sea and you can tolerate that. Room facilities all as described - big walk in shower, v comfortable bed, safe and tea tray. Breakfast buffet was extensive and varied, even including sparkling wine to start your day off well! Nearest beach is a short 5 min walk from a back entrance of the hotel down some steps onto the promenade with a few beach bars and a very local feel. Only had 3 days - did Split on one (in unseasonal thunder, hail and flash floods) and ferried to beautiful Brac the other 2. Radisson Blu is a good base for a short break to get a taster of what Dalmatia has to offer. Read more
