Airotel Achaia Beach - Rio

It's a rather big and nicely appointed hotel that could act as a convention center. The rooms were of your regular size, no more no less, but interior was more modern than some other hotels we stayed in Greece. Breakfast was your standard venue indistinguishable from other greek hotels and completely missable. The beach is quite nice, most locals from […] Patras come there to enjoy it. There's plenty of parking for those travelling by car. There are a few problems with this place. First of all, the address that is given here and on various booking sites is incomplete. I've tried several navigation programs and none could find the hotel were it supposed to be. I had to call the hotel and find out their street address (Milou 44), for some reason they refuse to put it down to help guests find it. Neighborhood is somewhat upscale, but there are a lot of dogs behind fenses, so walking around could be accompanied by a lot of barking. There's an absolutely delightful restaurant 2 blocks from the hotel, previously called "Moypagio" (Phemistokleous 8). The best food we ate in Greece so far. Elevators are rather small and two people with luggage can barely fit inside. Read more

Clean. Great location once you find it. For those who are traveling without a car... it's easy to get there from the Patra station. Get off at the stop before Rio and it's a short 5 min walk from there. People from Patras recommend you go to Rio... so in a way the Rio area is the attraction.

We stayed 3 nights, but because of poor quality of the beach we felt that 2 would have been better. We had a great room overlooking the beach and the bridge. The beach is awful, it's full of pebbles and the sand, if you can call it that, is more like gravel than sand. We like to take long walks on the beach but here is virtually impossible. The carpets were dirty and the mattresses were very hard,but otherwise a good experience.The view was fantastic. The gourmet food in restaurent was not very good but greek salad and chips were great. I would go there again.

We had a lovely sea view room with balcony and we very pleased with everything. we would stay there again and recommend it to friends. it was a bit out of town from patras but the train service was a good help. unfortunately we did not know about the train until the last day and perhaps it would be helpful if reception staff pointed out this facility […] when guests signed in for their stays and gave them a timetable. Fantastic location. Quiet area near enough for the boat to Patras the next day - 10 mins by taxi. Hotel leads onto beach - great for walk after meals. Airotel Achaia Beach ligger i utkanten av Patras, men var praktisk å bruke med leiebil. Vi ble oppgradert til rom med havutsikt og god middag til en hyggelig pris med meget serviceorientert betjening.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Golf von Korinth mit Blick auf die Brücke von Rio. Man hat einen herrlichen Blick über den Golf. Das Hotel ist über eine kleine, ruhige Straße problemlos zu erreichen. Parkplätze sind am Hotel in ausreichender Anzahl vorhanden, auch wenn eine Tagung oder eine Veranstaltung ist. An einem Abend gab es dort eine Hochzeit, von […] der wir aber nicht viel gemerkt haben. Keine laute Musik, keine lärmenden Gäste. Es gab eine Verkaufsmesse für Schuhe ohne jede Störung der Gäste. Das Zimmer mit Meerblick war ohne jeden Fehler. Es war wie das gesamte Hotel sauber. Der Service im Hotel war sehr gut. Alle Mitarbeiter waren immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war nicht besonders abwechslungsreich, aber für jeden Geschmack war etwas dabei und es war völlig in Ordnung. Wir hatten einmal im Hotel zu Abend gegessen. Das Essen war gut. Die Preise für Essen und Trinken sind moderat und nicht zu hoch. Für einen Städteurlaub oder einen Urlaub mit Auto und dem Wunsch, tagsüber viel zu sehen, ist es bestens geeignet. Aber auch einen Badeurlaub kann man dort machen. Es gibt zwar nur einen Kiesstrand, aber man kommt problemlos ins Wasser, das sehr schnell tief wird. Das Wasser war sehr klar und wirkte sauber. Der Pool und der Liegebereich werden täglich gereinigt. Auch das kleinste Stück Papier wird aufgehoben und in den Mülleimer gelegt. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Read more

Ressemble aux anciens hotels des pays de l'est. Odeur de tabac épouvantable dans la chambre. Salle de bains propre mais chambre poussiéreuse moquette tachée et usée. Accueil juste aimable. Agréable jardin devant la plage. Rien à faire autour de l'hotel.

Von Außen kein Blickfang, von Innen jedoch schön.Sauber, freundlich,schöner Pool, gutes Frühstück Für einen Badeurlaub unserer Meinung nach nicht so gut geeignet, da der Strand nicht besonders schön ist. Zet de terrasdeur van de hotelkamer open en je slaapt bij het geluid van de zee! Zoals de naam van het hotel aangeeft, ligt het aan een strand. Dit hotel ligt echter ook letterlijk aan de kust, niet zoals vaak nog een (drukke) weg voor de deur, maar (als je een kamer aan zee hebt zoals wij) alleen een grasveld, een strandje en op nog geen 50 meter van […] het hotel de zee. Je hebt ook een prachtig uitzicht op de grote hangbrug die nog geen 10 minuten van het hotel ligt. Als je een hotel zoekt ik de buurt van Patras is dit waarschijnlijk de beste keuze. Het hotel ligt aan het einde van een woonwijk ten noorden van Patras (ongeveer 10 minuten per auto van het centrum). Omdat het in een woonwijk ligt, is er in de buurt weinig (eigenlijk niets) te beleven. Goed voor een fly-drive, maar volgens ons niet voor een langere tijd hoewel er ook strand (en een zwembad in het seizoen) is. Eind maart, toen wij er waren, waren er nog een aantal andere gasten. Je hoeft je dus absoluut niet opgelaten te voelen als je buiten het seizoen een kamer boekt. Verder vriendelijke ontvangst, goede ruime en stille kamers, prima brede bedden, airco en verwarming, zeegeluid op de achtergrond, een prima ontbijt en voldoende parkeerplaatsen op eigen terrein. Zeer blij verrast met de lokatie van dit hotel. We hadden een kamer aan de zijde van de Golf van Korinthe/-Patras... wat een fantastisch uitzicht! Ook de kamer prima in orde, al zou er wel iets op aan te merken kunnen zijn als je goed kijkt, vooral in de badkamer. Ontbijt prima en wat heerlijk dat gebruik gemaakt kan worden van het zwembad en de ligstoelen […] daaromheen. Das Hotel war für uns ideal: Sehr ruhig, direkt am Meer, schöne Aussicht, reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet, guter und freundlicher Service, nahe am Hafen Patras. Fürs Baden draussen wurden Badetücher zur Verfügung gestellt. Sehr sauber und gepflegt.
