"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.
""Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.
"Nice hotel in the theatre district"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012

"Marriott Residence Inn"
Great location, comfortable room, great breakfast and friendly staff. Would definately return. Best deal so far
"great stay"
i had a very good stay here. i was surprised with how big the room was. the room was very clean and modern. the best part was the free breakfast- hot food, wide selection and tasty. great customer service by all staff. i would definately stay there again
The rooms were small but comfortable. The hotel seemed a bit run down but I believe they are in the process of renovations. Lobby very small but employees very helpful and accomodating.

"Great location - great hotel"
I am actually starting to like New York City... This was a very nice hotel for the price range. Great breakfast. Had one of the best sleeps for a long time. Very convenient to where I was working.
"Great Hotel - Concierge - very nice and helpful!"
The hotel was in a great location close to Times Square and the Theater District. The room was cozy and comfortable, the hot breakfast was really good. The hotel staff were all very nice and helpful but Judy the Concierge was extremely helpful - it was our first time to NYC and she went out of her way to try to make sure that we had a pleasant stay. […] She set us up on the Golden Touch tour and it was a great overview of the high points of the city. The only suggestion I would have is to supply an extra comforter for those who will be using the sleep sofa...the blanket that was supplied was very thin - not as comfortable as a comforter would have been. However, really enjoyed staying here and will stay again! Read more

"Marriott Residence Inn NYC"
Fantastic location in the heart of the City. Room was clean and comfortable with great views as well. Getting in and out during peak times (check-in and breakfast) was a nightmare because the elevators were always full. Don't count on taking advantage of the complementary breakfast unless you get in when it opens. The lines were LONGGGGG if you have […] plans to carry out! Read more

"Wonderful place to stay in New York City"
This Residence Inn by Marriott was the perfect place to stay for a family vacation. It was close to sightseeing, especially within walking distance to the Empire State Building, Times Square, and the theaters. The room was clean and very comfortable, and surprising quiet for a major city. It had a little kitchenette but the buffet breakfast was so good […] we only needed the refrigerator. The staff was very helpful, including the concierge, and our car came out of valet quickly. The only improvement I would suggest is improving how long it takes to wait for an elevator - there was often a line, and when it stopped at our floor it was often full. Maybe housekeeping could avoid the "elevator rush hours". Otherwise, five stars for a wonderful stay. Read more

"Residence Inn, Ave. of the Americas, New York City"
Great price for location, quality, cleanliness, etc. Friendly helpful staff, free breakfast a plus, Stayed only two days but perfect for longer stays if looking to save some money because of kitchen. Close to stores, Broadways shows, Times Square, etc. Only small problem was the window latch was broken and some street noise got in. We told the staff […] who said it would be fixed the same day but wasn't. Read more
Great breakfast, but hard to catch an elevator in the a.m. Safe, clean, comfortable, great location, great staff...very happy.

Good hotel at a great location. Rooms are clean and kitchenette was quite handy. Very good (and free) breakfasts. Only negative was the wait for the elevators.
"Residence Inn near Bryant Park"
The kitchenette in our room was impressive. I did't expect a full sized dishwasher and fridge. It's a great place to stay because of easy access to the subway. There are a couple of quick, good restaurants across the street. Le Pain Quotidien and Pret Manger. Bryant Park is a great place for a morning cup of coffee.
"Residence Inn by Marriott in NY Times Square"
Location is great! Close to everything on Times Square. The buffet breakfast had lots of variety and choices for those watching their weight. There was a deli on the next corner where you could get a fresh salad made and choose your ingredients. Would definitely stay again when visiting New York.
"The Residence Inn, Manhattan, Times Square"
The Residence Inn is very conveniently located near Penn Station, Times Square and many other sites. The bed was very comfortable and the buffet breakfast excellent. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the hotel to anyone traveling to NYC. Absolutely no complaints.
"Great stay, we'll be back."
My wife and I could not have been happier with this hotel. Good location, good price, very clean, and excellent service. Free internet and a free morning buffet that was good, nothing super fantastic but standard buffet fair.
"Marriott Residence Suites, Times Square"
Excellent location and very satisfied with our hotel room and comfort of the bed. Breakfast was included which was decent but nothing to rave about. It was convenient to have the kitchen space, but the "suite" name is confusing, as there was no separate bedroom area. Nearby Bryant Park was lovely.
"Residence Inn by mariott Times Square . . . Great"
This is a great hotel which is very affordable. Every Staff and service person I encountered was absolutely "Top-Notch". The room was very clean and comfortable and the location is absolutely wonderful and across the street from Bryant Park. I would recommend this hotel to anybody. We loved it!
loved the quilts on all the walls
"One night stay"
I took this hotel because the hotel I usually stay at was fully booked (business traveler). I found this hotel very comfortable, with friendly staff and a very nice breakfast buffet. Conveniently located in the heart of Manhattan!
"Location is perfect"
A bew blocks away from times square. Therefore perfect location. The room was neat. gave us a room on the 30th floor, the view from there was spectacular. The concierge suggest a restaurant around called jack's for a late night dinner. worked out fantastic. although i found a mouse in the concierge area when i was checking out. :(
"Residence Inn by Mariott - a great location"
- all tourist sights are within easy-to-reach distance. Public transportation is around the corner. The room was spacious enough for us 3 people and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I especially liked the provided breakfast. It helps starting your day right when you don't have to leave your hotel with an empty stomach.
"Perfect Repeat Performance"
Stayed at the Residence Inn 2 years ago. Loved it then & truly love it now. Perfect every time.
"Love this hotel!"
Good price for NY and one of the best, more open and usable spaces of any hotel we have stayed in for NY, which is a lot over the last 30 years of making frequent trips to the city. Staff is always super friendly. Easy access to subway. Always super clean. Not a huge hotel so elevators are not slow and the lobby doesn't get crowded.
"Good Sized Room, Great Location"
I enjoyed my stay here. The room was a good size. I hear a lot about how small the rooms are in NY, but I didn't really get that impression from this place. Small kitchenette, nice clean bathroom, clean room. TV kinda small, but who cares when you have NY right out side your doorstep. The breakfasts were great. Though, be ready to stand in line at about […] 8:45-9am. Everyone seems to come down to get breakfast. If you can get there before then you'll have no worries. Dining room was nice and clean. The hotel was very nice - very conveniently located and served a very nice hot breakfast. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
"Wow! Great Hotel"
I stayed there for one nite over the memorial Day weekend and boy..was I impressed. I am big on getting great customer service and this hotel exceeded my expectations in every regard. All of my interactions from the front desk personnel to the bell hop was very pleasant. They were courteous and efficient at each interaction. Within 45 minutes of checking […] in, they called to see if everything was OK. Great location....nice large room with full size fridge , tableware, etc. Good hot buffet...nice large lounge on 3rd floor. Will definitely stay there again Read more

"Very nice place"
Very nice hotel. Great location. Fair size room with small kitchen.
"Very Good!"
Staff was excellent!! Room was very nice (excluding the long black hair found in the folded 'clean' towel); however room was very clean. Everything else was Excellent.
"Warm Comfy Bed"
We stayed at the Residence Inn during the blizzard of Dec 2010. It was nice to come home to a comfy bed with a down comforter after being out in the frigid weather. The only complaint was that my daughter had to sleep on the pull out sofa, she said the mattress was very uncomfortable. The king mattress I slept on was very comfortable. The room was clean […] and we were able to order groceries from the front desk and they were delivered to us within an hour. It was convenient having a fridge, coffee pot, and microwave in the room. The continental breakfast was great also. The staff at the hotel helped us by letting us stay 3 extra nights at a discounted price when our flight was cancelled because of the snow. I would definately stay there again and would recommend this to anyone looking for a hotel that is located near just about everything. Read more
"Residence Inn by Marriott, NYC on 6th Ave."
The accommodations were very satisfactory, but there were only 2 or 3 working elevators, so it was extremely difficult to get up and down to our room. After waiting quite a while, we would eventually get on going to wrong direction and just ride it all the up and then back down, or vice versa. You could go down the stairs, even though it was very confusing, […] but there was no way to walk up the stairs. This was very irritating. With so many rooms, they need to have all elevators working or allow you to use the stairs up and down. Read more

"The Residence Inn by Marriott - great location"
Arrived at the hotel at about 8.00pm and was checked in within 5 minutes. The room was situated on the 31st floor on the south side of the building with stunning views of the Empire State Building and the mid town area. The room was well equipped with everything you need and very clean. The room was cleaned every day with new towels and bedding. There […] were 3 of us in our party so we used the sofa bed and even when it was down there was plenty of room around the two beds. The wi-fi in the room worked well and was easy to log into and the rooms safe was free to use. The hotel was quiet at night with no traffic noise although we were on the 31st floor. Only had one problem with the toilet blocking up one evening but it was sorted within 10 minutes of it being reported. The staff are friendly, courtious and helpful. Breakfast was included and good with a good choice of food (although it is america so expect some strange combinations) with the option to take you breakfast to your room. The location of the hotel was excellent only a 5 minute walk to Times Square and 10 minute walk to the Empire State Building. Grand Central Station is about 15 minute walk and Central Park about 25 minutes away. The closest tube station is at Times Square. Would recommend the hotel for anyone who needs to be in the thick of things. Read more

"Marriot Residence Hotel in Manhatten-Times Square"
Our reservation was for three people. When we checked in the pullout couch was not made up. We had to call for linens ans well as towels for three people. The mattress on the pullout couch was totally worn out. It had springs sticking out and was at best only three inches thick. The hotel sent housekeeping to our room in a timely manner and actually […] brought us another mattress which we put on top of the horrible mattress. This bed was still very uncomfortable and we had to have it open 24 hours a day (because of the two mattresses in could not be made back into a couch), I believe the hotel knew there were three of us booked into one room, because of the third person extra charges, I don't understand why the bed wasn't made up. The night staff was very helpful and courteous to us. We got excellent info from the day staff. The hotel is very convienent. If we had only two people in the room I would recommend it. Or, if the hotel would have two beds in the room we would stay there again. The breakfast buffet staff were great. Read more
