Sheets were dirty and had hair on them, handicap parking was blocked by roofers for most of our stay, and the place had an odor, especially upstairs were we stayed.

the room was clean, but very small, as was the pool. staff was very nice. the room looked out onto a gas station parking lot. told hotels.com i wanted corpus christi. should have looked at the map carefully, this hotel is 20 miles away. really good breakfast tho.

hotel stay was fine. I was looking for something more economical for an extended work assignment stay in Corpus Christi. You need a property out near Padre Island Drive or 37-N near the refineries.

Only complaint was the water in the spa was real dirty when the service man went by to put clorine I comment to him about the water and he said in a joking manner "I wouldn't get in it"

The hotel halls smelled like cheap men's cologne and my room smelled like urine. The WiFi was not working and the person at front desk said she could do nothing about that and the Manager was not in and she would tell him when he returned because he was the only one who could "reset the router".

This place was well kept inside and out. The moment i arrived they had everything ready paper work and the crib that i requested.. Decent breakfast.. Good size pool and jacuzzi.. The whole staff was just kind and helpful.. Will be staying there again!!

This was our first time at this Motel. Will definitely recommend and stay here again. Front desk clerk when we checked in was very nice and pleasant to talk to. Rooms were a little small but hey really we just use the room to sleep. Breakfast was very good. Nice variety of foods.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone going to this area. Friendly and helpful staff. Stayed for two nights and the room was kept immaculate by the cleaning staff. Great WI-FI, excellent breakfast and good access to desk top computers in front desk area. Next time in area will stay again.

Room was clean and comfortable. However, the in-room wireless internet was none existent. Called the front desk and received no help. wireless access in the lobby was very slow. Made it extremely hard to do work-related tasks.

This hotel was nice, and in a good location. The one thing that me and my family enjoyed the most was the morning free breakfast. They had a variety of foods from waffles to hot eggs, sausage, fruits, cereals, biscuits, muffins etc. It was just great. The downside was well I guess I'm just spoiled a lil but the tv in our room was old and there was a […] yellow spot on the screen ( every picture) so we had to sit at certain angles just to watch it. Hotel is in a safe location, hotel room is small but very clean, good breakfast, and the overall appearance of the hotel was fine. The only disappointing part seems to be the VERY unfriendly employees (except for Debra,an exceptionally friendly desk clerk who works in the evening hours). During the day, the employees, including the manager were always […] mingling and conversing in the lobby area and an opened room next to the lobby (a small child of the manager's included). That, we have NEVER seen in other hotel chains except for Microtel. It "seems" like the people paying and staying at this hotel are invading their territory! We also saw others being annoyed when coming to the front desk during the day hours and not finding anyone to take care of them-extremely unprofessional! They need to know that without people like us and others coming to Microtel, they they wouldn't have a job! Upon arrival to check in I had to walk through two people-one male and one female--apparently friends --smoking at the front door. Got to the front desk and nobody there. The young gentleman smoking at the front door came in and apparently was the desk clerk and checked me in. He had trouble running the key cards--getting them to activate. Finally he […] handed me 2 one of which I gave to my husband and apparently he had trouble getting it to open the door when he decided to go to the room. When I arrived later, my keycard wouldn't work and the desk clerk couldn't get the machine to activate it. The desk clerk gave me the master key to enter my room and told me he would get me an activated keycard when I departed later. This whole time the desk clerk had a male friend just hanging around which made me uneasy. Upon leaving the hotel, I had to retrieve the desk clerk from the front door smoking with his friend to get me an activated keycard. The appearance of the young male desk clerk was not professional in any way. On the surface, the hotel was clean, but the carpet in the room turned the bottom of your feet black as the carpets needed to be cleaned badly. I would mostly likely not stay at this hotel again. The hotel was covenant to some places. It was cleanish and had a fair breakfast for the money. Although the eggs and sausage was cold and rubbery tasting. The hotel was advertised as a non smoking one. Their staff would go outside the front door and stand and smoke at the door so you got to walk thru and into a big stinking fog bank of second hand smoke […] when trying to enter or exit the building. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. Some maintenance issues though. Phones in room didn't work, pillows and room had a dank smell. Pillows were replaced the next day. The room itself had an interesting layout with a day bed in the window. They need to update the hotel though, but for the price can't complain too much.

Room was not very clean. Walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. People above us must have been training for a marathon because we heard walking back and forth at all hours. Wish there could be a non smoking side of the building because we couldn't even enjoy the nice chairs outside because smoke kept blowing in our face from the people 2 […] doors down. We were very comfortable both nights that we stayed. Room was small but it was clean, fresh-smelling, a/c worked well, lighting was good, and shower was nice.
