On check in, we took the option to upgrade to a villa with a splash pool. And we were very glad we did - it gave us plenty of extra space in the room, plus the privacy of a private pool and sunbathing area. Only downside...no choice to eat somewhere but in the hotel. Thereis not even a supermarket around to buy water or groceries. And prices in the hotel are quite high! our next hotel on ko phangan e.g. had everything (see: santhiya resort and spa)

This is a beautiful resort right on the Gulf of Thailand. I highly recommend the villa as opposed to the deluxe rooms. If you get a villa, it's closer to the pool, the library (business center), the tapas bar and the restaurant. Absolutely beautiful landscaping and gardens, great rooms, restaraunts, pools and beach. October was pretty slow, very few people around. A lot more families with infants and toddlers than expected. Be sure to walk down to the main road to the convenience store, and plan transportation early - a scooter rental if youare brave. Hotel grounds, architecture and facilities are top notch. Very comfortable, well designed with excellent service and extremely friendly staff. Good restaurants and menus as well. The only drawback was the shallow water, which extended out about 100 meters. Cannot swim in the sea here so if you are one who enjoys the sun and sea, this may disappoint […] you. There are very nice beaches within just a few minutes of the hotel so it wasn't a major problem but we certainly would have spent more time in the hotel had the beach been up to par. Absolutely top notch! We stayed for a week in a Garden Pool Villa for our honeymoon and after a long and stressful year it was perfect. The room was absolutely beautiful, spacious and comfortable. Everyone from the restaurant staff to the housekeeping to front desk and the pool boys were brilliant and SO friendly and caring. The Pool is PRISTINE and the rest of the resort is kept in immaculate condition which is no mean feat given the size and complexity of the resort. Overall had a great stay at Renaissance Koh Samui. Excellent friendly staff and the resort met all expectations. Our villa was very private with plunge pool. The main pool overlooking the beach was great. For the price, and if you prefer a nice quiet location, for couples or families I would recommend this resort.

部屋は広くとても快適でした、ベッドメイキングも丁寧です。 プールは清潔で快適です プライベートビーチはあまり期待しないほうがようでしょう （サムイ島周囲の海があまり綺麗でない） 徒歩圏内にはお店が無いので、レンタルバイクで移動するのが良いでしょう バイクで10分以内にレストランやショッピングセンターなどはたくさんあります。 お値段はお高いですが、のんびりセレブな気分で過ごすにはオススメです。
