Savoy Boutique Hotel - Tallinn

I think it is listed as a 5-star hotel. I would rate it 4-stars but it is an excellent hotel for the price. Great location right in the center of town. Has sound-proof rooms and an excellent breakfast.

The hotel is in historic downtown Tallinn and within a walking distance to all the nice restaurants and night clubs. One of my most important amenities in a hotel is a gym, and this hotel lacks one. I also noticed that the air condition was not working, but my room was at a comfortable temperature the entire time i stayed there. Very conveniently located only about five minutes on foot to Old Town Square at the same time five minutes on foot to modern shopping mall as well. Also welcoming and very kind receptionist brought very good first impression of the town itself. The Room was quite spacious for two people with great view of the old town with sunsetting as well ! The hotel is nice, staff super friendly, location is fantastic. However, we expected more facilities in the room and in the hotel. The Savoy Boutique was inconsistent. The staff was friendly, helpful and eager to please. The hotel itself was pleasant and well-run and we had a great stay overall. Yet our room was never vacuumed in the four days we were there. Similarly, we had to chase down the housekeeping staff to get a replacement for our soap and toilet paper. In the mornings […] it was easy to get a first cup of coffee at breakfast but impossible to get a second. Also, it wasn't until our last morning that we found out we could have ordered additional items from the wait staff if we wanted anything not found on the breakfast buffet table. Nobody offered or told us about that. Finally, on the day we arrived at the hotel, we were 40 minutes ahead of the official check-in time. It was cold and rainy and we had just stepped off a 10-hour flight. Although our room was ready, they would only give it to us for an extra charge. ...So we waited in the lobby for 40 minutes until noon (the official check-in time), and then collected our room. We found that odd. None of the above experiences seem to be consistent with a five-star hotel rating. Read more

This hotel is located just a 2 minute walk from the Main Square. The hotel lobby, bar, restaurant and room were all wonderful. We were very pleasantly surprised and had a wonderful stay. Unfortunately, there is a 23-hour bar across the steet and we were awakened multiple times by drunken larrikins in the street. The hotel is located in a refurbished old building, very well maintained. There is only one small elevator that will fit probaly 3-4 people. Excellent service, accommodation and facilities, which is why I have ranked it a 5. However, there has to be some meaningful international comparison of hotel "stars". A 5-star hotel is the top rating and normally has at least one swimming pool and free access to a well-equipped exercise centre. In making the booking, I was guided by other positive reviews and the experience was very rewarding. Our party stayed in three rooms over a long weekend and we were all very satisfied with the smiling and helpful service, and the excellent accommodation and facilities. The location is on the edge of the charming Old Town, which apparently doesn't sleep. […] But the animation could be comfortably viewed through the double-glazed windows. Had a great stay here. The hotel was small but charming. it had a lovely comfortable reception and bar area, where you could relax with a drink by the fire. This is the second time I have stayed at the Savoy hotel and although the hotel and most of the staff and service was as expected and of a good quality there is one thing that has left a bad taste in my mouth I will not be going back. We had been given advice from local Estonian friends to visit the hotel's restaurant, Mekk. We attempted to dine in […] the restaurant on the first night Saturday and were advised that it was full so we asked to make a reservation on the following night which seemed fine. That evening we returned around 9pm and the restaurant actually appeared to be empty bar one table of diners. The following evening we went down to have dinner and the restaurant was full with what seemed like a private function. We were advised that someone was meant to tell us that the only free dining time was 2hrs earlier that evening although we were not advised. It was than offered that we dine in the bar as the restaurant was the same kitchen. Given our last night in Tallinn we were looking for a more memorable dining experience than sitting in a bar. Бронировали улучшенный номер, а предоставили обычный "стандартный" номер, отопление не работало, вместо ванной был обычный душ, да же не душевая кабина, а за матерчатым пологом, который был слишком коротким, поэтому после помывки на полу в санузле всюду была вода, и невозможно было даже сходить в туалет, ковровое покрытие в в номере было таким, что […] грязнее не бывает, пробыли 4 дня/3 ночи, но белье ни разу не меняли. レビューを基に５泊しました。 旧市街の中にある為、観光だけでなく駅や港にも徒歩15分くらいで行く事ができ、ホテルのすぐ近くに23時まで営業しているスーパーマーケットもあり立地が良かったです。部屋も白を基調にしたインテリアの為、とても快適でした。また、予約時のリクエストにも当方で再確認する前にホテル側で動いてくれたり、レストランやベッドメイキングのスタッフもとても教育が行き届いており大満足です。私が宿泊した時は、部屋に湯沸しポットが設置されていたので、好きな時にお茶を飲むことができました。海外で様々なホテルを利用してますが、低価格でここまで質の良いサービスをするホテルは初めてでした。またタリンに行く時は再度利用したいと思います。

Toinen käyntimme ei mennyt edellisen lailla. Olimme varanneet/maksaneet sviitin, mutta meille annettiin tavallinen kahden hengen huone. Takaisin reseptioniin, jossa nuori tyttö pahoitteli virhettä ja vaihtoi oikeaan. Saimme saman huoneen kuin edellisellä kerralla. Hotellin ravintolan keittiössä on loistava kokki ja halusimme taas illastaa, mutta paikka […] oli täynnä. Ystävällinen tarjoilija ohjasi baarin ravintolaan "täällä on sama menu". Baarin pojat keskustelivat keskenään, eivät tehneet elettäkään ennen kuin ärähdin heidän aktiivisuudestaan. Takkuillen alkoi sujua, mutta tilaamamme valkoviini oli lämmintä, tarjoilu keskinäistä keskustelua meistä, mutta ruoka taas aivan erinomaista. Baarin pojat paransivat loppua kohti ja antoivat laskussa alennusta alun puutteista. (annoimme sen tippinä takaisin) Aamiaisen lämmin ruoka nyt kylmää (8:30) ja tyttö ei pitänyt työstään. Read more
