This hotel has a pool, whirlpool and water slide but on the day we arrived they were all closed due to "chlorine problems". However, in reading the health department posting this was a long-standing problem resulting from many identified water samples that revealed problems and resulted in the health department closing down the pool. It was also evident […] that the pool had been closed for a while and therefore, this amenity was clearly not available. The front desk person also was not particularly famliar with the neighborhood or resources such as where food could be had at the later hour that we arrived. This was a bit frustrating. Happy with everything except they would not let me check in early and were kind of rude about it. Also, the hot tub was OUT OF ORDER. Great local with Subway & Taco Time across the street! I will stay here again on my next visit to GP.

The staff were excellent and got checked in fast. The room was good, a little small, but comfortable. It was also surprisingly quiet concidering my window faced the busy highway. Breakfast was excellent, lots of variety. My only complaint was that another guest left a trail of mud chunks from the elevator to the front desk.

Besides the hot tub being closed (and very dirty) the pool was not that great. It's small and cold. The pool area is cold and dirty. The room was nice but the fridge didn't work the microwave beeped incessantly and the tiny bathroom is ridiculous. Parking is stupid and there are so many ways to get lost. We used a pack and place for our stay for our 5 month old daughter on 2 different occasions. The first time it was DISCUSTINGLY dirty. Beyond belief. This should not have happened. It clearly was NEVER cleaned. The second time was better.

this is an average hotel.... i think the costs is a bit higher than you should have to pay but in a town with demand for hotels you have to pay the price.... Expedia rates were much better than trying to book through the hotel online or even direct by phone. THANK YOU EXPEDIA FOR SAVINGS US MONEY!

Stayed their at the end of June/12, at that time hot tub was not available to use. Went and stayed again Nov/12 hot tub again was not fixed still.Very disappointed, when taking a shower it was like I was taking a bath because the tub was not draining and the cleanliness of the hotel was awful. Wil not book this hotel again

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The waterslide was fun. Breakfast was not the greatest, at least there was fresh fruit each day. Bed was comfortable. Most of the hotel was kept up pretty well and fairly clean, other than my bathroom had what appeared to be mould where the tub meets the floor. The card reader on the door only worked 1 in 5 times […] at best, I was constantly having to go to the front desk having them reprogram the cards and even that didnt always work, it was very annoying. The hotel should be getting better over the next while as they're renovating, painting/carpet. There was some banging noises at night but the biggest pain was my door to my room, if the maids (or me) didn't pull the handle back up it would sit half down and anyone could enter my room as the door wouldn't latch. I did mention to the front desk but it […] happened again a couple days later. It's an older Super 8, it was fine for what i needed. It appeared that a lot of people were enjoying the pool, etc... I constantly had to get my room keys re-done upon returning at the end of the day, so you should just head to the lobby versus carrying all your gear up to your room then having to turn around and head down to the lobby. I tried to keep my room key from my cell phone and any other sources of magnets, to no avail. I wouldn't have paid any more for the room than i did. I would recommend down the road if i heard the hotel was done reno's and the price was right. Read more

Wasn't impressed. Felt like I was disturbing the flirt fest/ or gab fest at the front desk. I require handicap parking, was told to park in the back, and two nights, I had to park at the next door restaurant. Both of these nights the handicap parking was either taken by a vehicle with no handicap tag, and the other night was an airport shuttle van. […] The round about way into the hotel, meant passing through smokers alley, dark dirty & covered in cigerette butts. The halls were dirty, the elevators were dirty. Walls in the hall were smeared in ? The Noise was the worst. Hand written signs all over, about "respecting" other guests(that was tacky enough)...just means at 2 or 3 a.m. the party in the hall is not going to be disturbed by hotel staff. Children allowed to run all over the place, yelling, and banging on doors, & trying to get into the candy machines. This was one of the worst Super 8's I've ever stayed in. Not "come again" just, oh you booked on line, you can go...wow sorry to have disturbed the staff. I travel a lot...I will not suggest, or stay in this hotel again. Read more

It was very clean from the waterslide to the rooms. The breakfast nook was well supplied. The front desk was very helpful in spite of how busy they were. The hotel was full during our stay but it was very quiet after 10 pm. We were handy to the Prairie mall and Gateway Power Center shopping. I will be staying here for all our visits.

Staff was friendly and helpful. breakfast was great with many options. Staff in the kitchen area was helpful by letting my wife whip up her protein shake and let her clean up her "bullet" afterwards. Rooms were quiet but keep in mind we were there during the week. check out was super 8 fast.

Could smell the stale smoke from previous renters.Noise through out the evening and night was almost unbearable, had to bang on the wall to get it to stop, Noise outside the room in the halls was extremely loud. Overall I have had better stays else where.

The room was okay, the staff were friendly. They have a comp. free hot breakfast. The room needed a few repairs, and the tv was from the 80's with bad reception. That was the worst for me. Trying to watch sports with ant races in the back ground.

My bedding and linens were clean, but the coffee maker had a layer of dust I needed to clean before using and the bathroom floor was really dirty. We booked this hotel because of the pool for th kids. The pool was closed. The elevator smelt 'funny' and most of all, we left our Sony Video Camera behind and did not get it back. Repeated calls to the hotel only got us (similar to) 'We haven't had time yet to check'.
