"A Great Place At a Great Price"
We stay there each year and we continue to be happy with the accommodations and the service...A Nice Hotel....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The check in process was easy; the clerk was very friendly and informative. The room was comfortable and breakfast was tasty.Genuine Expedia guest review
Service and personnel were fine. Refrigerator and microwave were poorly positioned. Very little room to get around. Air conditioner was VERY noisey.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed for one night. Was nice ! Lady at front desk was veru helpful with directions. And a list of things around to do.Genuine Expedia guest review
we checked in around 8 pm, front desk woman was very polite, helped me out with wifi, great clean hotel rooms, definitely stay there again, and if not in that town i will look for a Quality Inn. Very satisfied.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Remodeled Hotel"
The room was excellent and the staff was very accommodating. Only negative is they charge a nightly fee of 15.00+tax for your pet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great little hotel and priced right"
The hotel was great and the staff super friendly. Definitely would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
There are trains going by blowing their whistles at all hours, it was hard to get a good nights sleep.Genuine Expedia guest review

New name, same old hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel was fine if your expectations are basic, but the description of the room on Expedia is completely inaccurate. The standard queen room does not have a pillowtop bed. The bathroom does not have a deep soaking tub. There is no washer/dryer, separate living room, or queen sofa bed. There is no sofa at all. In fact, there was barely enough floor […] space to set up our travel sized pack and play baby bed. Again, it is fine if you are just looking for a very basic hotel room, but it did not live up to our expectations given the price and description online. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This Out-dated hotel had holes in the walls from pulled-out towel bars, mismatched furniture (functional, but not pretty). The bathroom towels had mascara marks on them - making me question if they were truly clean or just refolded...ick. Unfortunately, our room was directly across from the lobby. The overnight employee had the radio on from 11pm till […] 3am that could clearly be heard in our room. Also breakfast set up was loud. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"One good, one not-so-good"
We had two rooms on 9/6/13. Both recently remodeled. One room was fine. The other room had an unpleasant odor and the air conditioning didn't work sufficiently. We didn't arrive until late and were tired so there wasn't much we could do.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel staff was wonderful! We requested early check in as we were arriving for a wedding and planned on getting ready at the hotel. They were prompt to enable us into our rooms. Once in after we were getting ready the room kept getting warmer as the ac was not working. Went downstairs and they immediately offered us another room and we moved to […] that room. They even were thoughtful and checked to make sure the ac worked okay now and that we were comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Was perfect and the kids enjoyed it too! Thanks! "Summer Golfing Vacation"
This hotel was chosen as a jumping off place. We had previously arranged to spend a night on Mackinac Island so we chose the hotel for proximity. In doing so we met some very nice young folks trying to make a go of an older hotel. The breakfast included in the stay was surprising. Every thing was fresh and served at the correct temperatures. The best […] thing that could be said is it is quite. Just far enough off the main highway not to be too big of a distraction. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again since the price was fair for the accommodations received. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice staff, but not good condition/clean"
The staff were very nice, and were eager to please the customer. Unfortunately the hotel itself was not very great. The room wasn't very welcoming, was very small, and didn't seem very clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very comfortable bed and clean room. The only downfall...and it isn't the hotels fault is the 24 hour trains. After the first night you don't hear them anymore. Another positive is the continental breakfast and all the options to choose from.Genuine Expedia guest review
"exactly what a mid- range hotel should be"
Clean, comfortable, decent breakfast. Exactly what if expect from hotel in this price range.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The front glass door looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 6 months. Made me feel creepy as I had to walk through it 4x a day. I had to ask 2 employees to please clean it. On the last day of my stay, just as I was leaving, it was finally cleaned. I spilled some pop in my room on the desk and wiped it up, but left a washrag & empty pop bottle in place […] so the staff would do a better job. They took the bottle & rag away but didn't clean under it. They must have thrown the rag on the floor in the sink area because from then on the floor was sticky as could be. The staff was not overly friendly. When I asked for the glass to be cleaned I felt like I was being challenged by them. Really? I had to say "look at how filthy it is"..... so the place was just ok. Maybe they were all having a bad day that Fri/Sat/Sun. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel and great location"
This hotel was recently re-done and is very nice for the money. It was clean and Julie was very helpfull. The continental breakfast was superb. Thanks again... Jim D. Appleton, Wi.Genuine Expedia guest review
"What an overpriced, disappointing stay!"
Our room was dreary, crowded and dingy. The air conditioner emitted an odor that caused me to think we might catch Legionaire's disease from it. We checked in on 8/23 and it appeared the room hadn't been rented since July as the latest HBO movie guide was for July. The lighting in bathroom was dismal -- perhaps 60 watts of light at best. The recliner […] in the room had very noticeably stained upholstery and seemed unclean. The breakfast area had a total of 4 (count them four) tables of which only 3 had chairs to sit by and the total square footage of the breakfast area, including counter space appliances could not have exceeded 280 square feet. This "Quality Inn & Suites" was an old converted Super 8 motel. A huge disappointment! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was recently painted and recarpeted. The rooms and hallway had a strong chemical smell, which was probably from the new paint and carpet. Little things needed to be done. Baseboard was not back in place. Holes in bathroom where towel bar had been were not repatched. Bed was very comfortable. Room was very clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Memominee River Century Ride"
OK - remodeling was going on throughout the hotel while we were there. Pounding and other noise until 9pm each night. Rooms are not very sound proof. Train tracks close by. Train went by and blew its whistle several times each nigh around 2-3am! Room was nice. Light fixture was hanging down from the ceiling in the bathroom. They forgot clean our room […] on Sunday. This is one of my favorite hotels. This is a family run hotel and as a result very well managed, very clean and very comfortable and has a lot of high end furnishings. The breakfast is great and the staff very friendly and helpful.
"Good place to stay"
09/28/14 Richard B Big Rapids, Michigan
This basic motel is on Highway 41, just a little south of the Michigan state line. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. There is an elevator. I recommend it, and would certainly stay there again.

Stayed for 5 nights, in a one bedroom (suite?). Located right off the main road in Marinette, easy access. Lobby was clean, check in was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Small (4 tables?) casual breakfast area adjacent, simple breakfasts self serve available in mornings. Our room was second floor, next to stairwell. Room was one bedroom (mini-suite?) larger than average hotel room. Bath was on the small side. Kind of a wet bar, counter top, tall mini-fridge and microwave. Couch, chair with ottoman, desk with office chair, small table with 2 side chairs. Separate bedroom, king bed which was very comfortable, good linens and pillows, two side tables with lamps, dresser with TV. No window in bedroom, got very dark, good for sleeping. Another TV in main room, one window which did open (was nice when it got stuffy at night). Couches, bed, chairs all comfortable but not luxurious. Everything seemed clean and tidy. Towels/face cloths were old and thin, again no luxury there. Bath/sink/toilet were clean and worked fine, good water pressure and temp. Sink was a little cramped. Small bathroom, one person at a time in the mornings. Main complaint was the lack of noiseproofing. Walls and doors were thin, you could hear people coming and going pretty easily, especially at night. Every night there were people getting in late who were noisy, waking us (I am NOT a light sleeper), talking in hallways, slamming doors. One morning I was awakened by a women in the next room on her cel-phone. I knew it was a cel because I could hear the other person (speakerphone?) More than a little annoying. Breakfasts were fine, for what they were. Actually a pretty good selection, a waffle maker, cereals, pastries, coffee/tea. Also eggs, sausages and biscuits (i didnt try any of these..) and juices. Housekeeping was good, she helped us with extra towels and soap, etc. Very friendly. Checkout was fine too, again very friendly and helpful. Hotel is within walking distance of a few restaurants and taverns.
"Torn between happy and disappointed"

The price was right and fair and the place is being updated. Our room had not been completed yet but it was clean enough. The toilet rocked and the seat fell apart on it. The desk clerk was very nice and friendly as well as helpful but she had to program our keys 3 times to get them to work in both the hotel entrance and our room. Breakfast was your typical continental fair with the addition of sour milk and no syrup and the biscuits being maybe a week or two old. I didn't feel safe leaving my vehicle in the lot. I even requested a new room so that my room was facing the parking lot. The trailer park next door with people coming through the tree (fence) and strolling through the parking lot just did not give me a secure vibe. So it was clean enough but needing more help and it was fairly priced. But other aspects were lacking. I doubt I would recommend this motel but I wouldn't put it on my do not stay here list either. Like I said, I am torn on this one.
"totally decent for the price!"

I chose this hotel because it was one of the less expensive options in town but still had some good reviews. The place was very quiet. The room was clean and comfortable. Clean tub and bathroom, nice big comfy bed with lots of pillows. The free breakfast options were pretty good, including hot and cold stuff. I spent the weekend hiking the area's beautiful waterfalls and spent a little time at the beach too, this ended up being a good place to relax and sleep after my long days of adventuring around Marinette County and Michigan's UP. Also, I did hear the train other people were commenting about a couple times, but only during the day. It never woke me up at all and I'm usually a pretty light sleeper.
"Just what we needed."

Clean. Quiet and friendly. We just needed a place to stay for the night. We had no reservation in advance. The Desk Clerk upgraded our room because the type of room we wanted was not available on the first floor. Breakfast was typical of Quality Inn. Fruit, cereal, coffee, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, juice, toast, bagels and waffles. Just enough to get our day started.

This hotel was a disappointment, it's worn out. Things are old and well used. It was clean, bathroom is in good order and clan and there were NO odors. Be aware that it is close to a railroad with one train going pass at midnight, blowing it's horn all the way through town (to be fair, the other two hotels that we saw also would have the same train noise level). The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful with dinner suggestions and areas in the town to visit.

Very friendly staff. Not the prettiest place, but you can see that they are in the middle of making many improvements. I would gladly stay here again when in the area. Best bang for the buck. Thank you Jay for making the our stay very relaxing.
"First trip to Marinette"
08/15/14 Angela S Oshkosh, Wisconsin
Had a wonderful time at this hotel. When they say "whirlpool in the room", they really mean a two person hot tub, and not a tuna can like at other chains I have stayed at. The staff is so friendly and accommodating, and the rooms are always reasonably priced and clean. That's why we are choice gold members. Other chains do not come close!
"Good Value at Reasonable Rate"
07/30/14 Grant Q Burlington, Wisconsin
Our group of four needed two rooms and stayed over for two nights. We were all very satisfied with the cleanliness of the rooms and facility, the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff; and the excellent hot breakfast including two types of eggs, sausage, fresh made waffles and much more. I would rate our experience as perfect.
