"There for Nascar"Reviewed by Les V of "Eastbourne UK" on Mar 29, 2012
We chose this hotel to be close to the race track. Good location with lots of eating places nearby. The room was good, and so was the shower. Only problem was the internet connection which kept going. Happy to recommend this hotel
"Best Western Plus Rancho Cucamonga"Reviewed by Jane B of "London, England" on Feb 22, 2012
This hotel was ideal for a revisit to Cucamonga where we used to live. The beds were soooo comfortable - the pool and jacuzzi were a bonus for the kids and the breakfast buffet was great. Waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon with muffins and bagels - wow such choice!! The icing on the cake was the free internet which allowed my kids to talk briefly to their friends back home in England and I was able to check work and flight availability! Great stuff!! As for the Ontario Mills Mall - it was heaven to my daughter and I - with the Gamechecker Bar/Arcade for the boys! Excellent! We will definitely come again.
"Northwoods Resort Hotel - Big Bear Village, CA"Reviewed by Andy B of "Cannes, France" on Jan 24, 2012
We were very happy with our stay in Northwoods - The room was clean and comfortable and within 10 minutes walk of the restaurants in the village. Some flexibility with the 1600hrs check-in would have been nice but, it was the busiest day of the year. We found the hotel to be quiet as well. Good value.
"nice and simple hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jan 18, 2012
We used this hotel to stay for one night on our way to Vegas, and it was a very good choice for that.
"Bear Creek Resort - welcoming and comfortable"Reviewed by John E of "London, England" on Oct 26, 2011
Bear Creek Resort is in a beautiful setting, surrounded by trees, and only a 5-minute drive from the lakeside. As others have posted, it's clearly been upgraded recently, and a very pleasant surprise when I arrived was that an outdoor hot tub had just that week been installed at the cabin I was staying in. The welcome was excellent, the place is clean and well-managed. The complementary breakfast was good - similar to a normal Motel breakfast. The cabins are old - I guess 1930s, so although they have been refurbished to modern standards you need to accept some quaintness - the bathroom in my cabin was pretty small for example. But overall the place is very attractive and I will definitely be returning!

"The bad outweighs the good."
On the good side...there was Andrew. He worked the front counter. He was very helpful and efficient. He went out of his way to get us into our room when the reservation hadn't shown up in their system by the time we arrived at 7:00pm. The first room didn't have a coffee maker so Andrew gave us another room that also included a microwave and a fridge. […] The bed was very comfortable also. On the bad side...The carpet in the room was absolutely disgusting. I was so tired that I just decided to deal with that by not walking barefoot. I checked the bed and didn't see any signs of bed bugs and that was a nice surprise. When my husband went down to return the key from the first room (we had both keys so we could transfer out stuff.) he was propositioned by a hooker in the hallway. Yes! I did say hooker. Is there an inexpensive hotel out there that doesn't make most of it's money from freaking hookers??! Geeze. My husband let the front desk know and he didn't seem to care at all. We realized that we had seen the same young lady walk in and out while we were waiting to check in. Back in the room... The room got warm so we opened the window. As I looked out I saw the same young lady hooker stop near the driveway of the hotel. A man with a cane was walking by and she propositioned him. Once we finally went to bed I heard someone shake our room door handle several times. It was locked and blocked so I wasn't really worried. The bathroom light has a sensor on it that makes the light come on whenever anyone walks in. For some reason it went on and off several times during the night. My husband said that there was ghost in the room. LOL We both slept pretty well. In the morning when I grabbed the large towel after a shower I noticed that it had stains all over it. Not sure if it was dirt or stains. Either way that towel should have never been put out to be used. I felt a pain on my finger and looked at it to see that it had a small sore spot. It was obviously fresh and wasn't there Read more
"Econolodge in San Bernardino"
The desk clerk was very nice and very accomodating. We arrived about 3:00am after driving through a snow storm over Tehachapi Pass. Their internet was down, so it took quite some time to check in. Part of the problem was my own...I had a brain freeze on how to work the card to open the room. When we arrived, the desk clerk was outside smoking at the […] front door. Not very professional. Because it took so long checking in, he DID give us a free room for my mom who smokes, so we got 2 rooms for the price of one, and I am very thankful for that. The hotel is filthy, the elevator was filthy, the rooms were filthy. Obviously the maids do not vacuum in the corners or along the wall. There were something red that had spilled under the sink in the bathroom, not sure what it was, but it looked like blood. I was so exhausted that I just kept my socks on till I went to bed and didn't make an issue of anything. The internet was out, so no wifi. The continental breakfast was a joke - bagels, toast, dry cereal and instant oatmeal with orange juice or milk. I would not stay at this hotel again. Read more
"Don't use it"
There were 5 cars in the lot and we owned two of them. Continental breakfast was very sparse. Very bad neighborhood. Non employees coming in and out of secure hotel exits. Same Guests paying cash for rooms several times in one night.
After reading others reviews we were skeptical and have low expectations for our stay. Overall was not bad. Nothing was stolen, the room was clean, and the service was average. The hotel is located in a sketch area but was convenient for our purpose of stay.
no light in shower, smells funky in the rooms.okay to stay if youre not going to be in your room very much.

"Good for a one night stay"
I thought the place was fine for what it was. The only downfall was that we had to wait about 20 minutes in the lobby because there was no one at the receptionist's desk to check us in when we arrived. We even called with that phone on the side that says "Use this phone if no one is at the front." Still no one. Whatever. At least the room was clean. […] The hotel was good for a night. Read more

"Econo Lodge San Bernardino- JUST A WARNING"
I recently stayed at the Econo Lodge in San Bernadino. The room set up was not bad for the price; we got two conjoining rooms with a queen bed in each room. However, when we returned to our room after an event we found a lot of our stuff to be stolen!! This finding was consistent with two other rooms down the hall. We asked the front desk to check the […] cameras, but they refused and would not even help us call the police. The police were not much help either as they accused me of doing drugs and that it was my fault. I AM 99.9% POSITIVE HOTEL STAFF STOLE OUR BELONGINGS. The staff was extremely unwilling to give us a manager's contact, thus furthering the hotel concierge's evasive position on the matter. All items taken were pocket size (cell phones, ipods, credit cards, etc.). The hotel staff was extremely unprofessional--this is the worst hotel experience I have ever encountered. *This is an unsafe area in general; it is worth it to pay a little bit more and stay at a nicer hotel down the street. *If you absolutely must stay here, make sure to put your valuables in the safe (if they have a safe?) *As females, DO NOT STAY HERE ALONE Read more
"worst hotel"
I am very disappointed with the service at this hotel. my wife and I were on vacation passing through and book a night at your hotel when we got there to check in there were a dozen people in the lobby waiting to check in and nobody to help us or check us in after 45 min of waiting and talking to corporate on the phone and still no help we decide to […] leave and drive at night really tiered to another hotel that i had to pay for after i already payed for my room. In the center of the town but not in a good area of town. Staff members actually parked in front of hotel instead of in the parking lot which made us feel unsafe upon arrival. Lobby in good condition. Breakfast in the morning was a joke, some milk, a little bit of coffee, white bread and a few muffins. not a continental breakfast. Dirty area for food. Halls […] on hotel floors very dirty looking and walls in the areas not very well maintained. Room was very clean and kept up. Customer service at the front desk was very weak. Read more
"Would Not Recommend"
I was very unhappy with my stay. The first room I received was gross and when I went to lock the deadbolt it would not lock. I proceeded to open the door to try and fix this and the door handle broke off. Unacceptable. I was given a new room which was cleaner, but was awoken by another party trying to enter my room. They were given a key to my room […] that thankfully did not work, as the deadbolt for this room was also malfunctioning. They returned a second and a third time, after which I opened the door to inform them that the room was occupied. They must have been given a new room because they did not return. To top it all off the continental breakfast sucked. Will not be returning. Read more
"It's a 2 star hotel."
I went in expecting a 2 star hotel and that's what I got. There were stains on the carpet, the whole hotel smelled bad, I didn't have a remote control or an alarm clock. If you don't mind smells, stains, and getting hustled for crack money by the locals, this is the place for you!
"econo lodge san bernardino"
Sufficient, cheap, out of the way, no restaurants within walking distance
When I looked up the hotel description it was very misleading. Said it was close to a mall. But didn't say that the mall was closed. Or at least mostly closed. The front desk help would do nothing to accomodate us, until I called hotels.com for help. Not a good area, and the hotel is not maintained well.

The only thing odd about this stay is if you want 2 beds, you get two rooms w the joining door. It was very convenient for two girls to get ready to go out tho, 2 showers, 2 sinks, 2 mirrors.
"Econo Lodge San Bernardino"
The hotel has a strong and unpleasant smell throughout. The carpet in the room had several stains from food (?).
"san bernardino trip 10_23_10"
i would only recommend this hotel to someone on a budget. i did not like seeing locals using the hotel as a hang out. i couldn't understand how the hotel staff was allowing that to happen. the area is already less than desirable. but, oh well, i was only gonna sleep there.

A friend and I were in the area to go to an event. The hotel is located within walking distance of the NOS center and there's a grocery store right across the street from the hotel which I found super convenient as well! I had read some reviews that made me nervous about staying there, but for the area and the price it's very reasonible!
"WORST EXPERIENCE EVER"
I am a frequent traveler and have stayed at this particular hotel in the past and have never had a problem checking in a few hours early if there were rooms ready...on this particular occasion it was extremely important that i was able to check in before 12:00 because I had $400 tickets to an event at NOS Events Center that started at 12:00...when i […] tried to check in at 11:45 i was told that the manager, Andrea, halted early check-ins even paid early check-ins specifically because there was an event going on...when the manager arrived at 12:30 i expressed the urgency and she repeatedly told me to read the sign and that there were no rooms ready which was a lie verified by her staff...the manager was very rude unprofessional and confrontational...i decided to not miss any more of the event and left with my luggage which she would not let me leave behind the desk...when i returned around midnight i was given room 112 which was about 10ft X 10ft...there were stains all over the carpet which made it look like a crime scene...there were only two extra small pillows and only a comforter which we all know never gets washed...there was a really old TV in the corner and the lights in the bathroom didn't work...giving me this room out of all the others available was retaliation for not understanding why i could not check in early...i know it was vindictive because i asked for another room and was given one by the night staff that looked exactly like what I had seen on hotels.com...the staff, who seem to have an understandable amount of resentment towards their boss, apologized over and over and said that they hoped i returned despite what had transpired...the staff was great the manager was possibly the worst I've ever encountered...of all my years traveling this was the worst experience ever! "Econo Lodge, San Bernardino"
The breakfast that was supposed to be supplied was of very poor standard with very little food and plastic plates and cutlery, I found this very primitive for a hotel more like what you would expect at a camping ground.

"Econo Lodge San Bernardino"
When I arrived after, rerouting for highway construction, I was dismayed at the neighborhood, and the fact that my car was the only one in the parking lot which could not be seen by the only person working at the desk. In my room, I turned on the air conditioner to find that it didn't work (105 degrees outside). The helpful, friendly desk person tried […] to fix it (no maintenance person) and finally moved me to a handicapped room which was larger, but the light between the bed area and the bathroom didn't work. I gave up and stayed, and was happy to discover that the bed was very comfortable. I skipped breakfast, so don't know how that was. Read more

The hotel looks really nice as you walk in to the lobby, forgeting the fact that we had to drive through dark streets to get to the hotel. As we walked out of the elevator to go to our room, we were met with such high humidity along the hallway then we got to our room. We opened the door and it was stiffling hot in the room. It took a while for the […] A/C to kick in and start cooling down the rooms. We are in a two queen suite so we turned on both A/Cs immediately. While checking out the rooms, we realized that the lights in one of the restroom doesn't turn on. We immediately called down to the lobby to ask for help for no help came. We had to use the bedroom lamp and plug it in the bathroom to get some lighting in the bathroom. The air vent in the other bathroom was caked with dust and the hair dryer didn't work. It is definitely not very well maintained. Read more
"Great Value"
Although Confusing at first to locate, upon entering it has a nice lobby and the staff is courteous, freindly, up-beat and very helpful. The room was a very clean and roomy for the area, only down side was a slight lack of privacy since the curtains do not close only thing covering the window was a semi-seethrough white curtain. Yet it was a really […] comfortable bed and the bathroom was clean and very nice. The continental breakfast was good, check outwas a brease and I would recomend this location, it was a steal for the price. Read more
"Very bad area"
We checked in and there was a lot of confusion on the reservation. Once we got to the room, we were not very comfortable with the parking lot - very little lighting. THe neighborhood was not in the best area and there were homeless all around. We did not even stay the night. We immediately left and found another hotel that was better lit.
"Fine for the price."
It was fine for the price and close to the training I was attending. The desk staff were friendly and helpful.
"Great Price for Clean Room."
The price was reasonable, and the entire environment was very clean. The only complaint are the curtains. They're sheer white, and they don't close all of the way. Not so pleasant if you're trying to sleep in.
"Great room for money... Rooms a bit small"
This hotel was really nice for the price. The neighborhood looked a little rough on the outside but once we arrived I was quote pleased with the interior of the hotel. The rooms were a bit on the small side but very clean and nice. The flat screen television was definitely a plus! I would recommend this hotel to anyone who isn't too picky and just needs […] a room to sleep. Read more
"Small Rooms"
The single room was very small. There was not much room around the bed so I was tripping over my stuff. The bathroom was also very small. While I stood at the sink, the toilet was touching the back of my leg. The room was clean though, and updated. The front desk staff gave erroneous driving instructions. I drove around 30 extra minutes trying to find […] it because the lady kept insisting I take 6th Street off the freeway (should have said 5th). There is no 6th Street exit off the freeway. Read more
