The room was basic, but very clean, and had everything I needed for my one night stay, my only complaint would be that the bed was uncomfortable. But I only had to walk across the parking lot to get to the airport check in.

Arrived in the dark and left early so didn't really get an opportunity to enjoy the venue. I did however enjoy a very nice salmon dish from the bar menu which was first class. Staff were very polite and professional, I will definitely return

"It did the job."
Bar and lounges looked tired and need to work doing to them. The actual Hall is pretty impressive and the grounds are really very nice. "Wonderful warm welcome"
We arrived at 11am, too early to check in, but NO, the room was ready and it was beautiful. The grounds and hotel are gorgeous and steeped in history, and the staff were very attentive. This Hotel is truly a resort as it is called. The best place to see England at it's best. The suite's are truly presidential, the environment is truly country yet modern and classy. "Not impressed - needs better service"
The rooms are OK - vast and clean although a bit run down (e.g. broken toilet seat, broken hung on the door, etc). The service is what needs some improvement. We were not particularly nicely welcomed at the reception. We wanted to book table for dinner and we have been told that only 9:15 is available, then we were immediately told that actually we […] would need to have the dinner in the bar and when i refused and said we would rather go to the village, they agreed on accommodating us in the restaurant. My surprise was huge when we found it 70% empty when we got there - so I am not sure what was the reason for suggesting the cold bar instead. The service over dinner was very slow (dinner came after 10 and after mine reminders), there was very noisy gathering next room and in addition, the food was so little (really!) that even Michelin star restaurant portions would have seemed big in comparison. The beef steak was a small cube. We are small and we do not eat a lot but this was not enough even for us. It seems that the restaurant is kind of wanna-be - trying sophisticated things, but it did not work - at all. Breakfast was average.Overall, I would not recommend it - the surroundings are beautiful and the building itself (although a bit of heating can help - the bar, the restaurant were really cold) is nice, however, there are so many better place for similar if not cheaper price! "Spoilt rotten"
Super big room but rather too cold - just one small wall-mounted heater. Other than that we loved it. Weather was awful or we'd have spent a lot more time wandering around. "Make sure you stay in the hall"
We paid the extra on arrival to stay in the hall, glad we did as the room was lovely. We couldn't get into the restaurant until 9pm so it's a good idea to book that prior to arrival should you want to eat there. There is a bar menu but choice is limited. Stayed for Valentine's Day in the old hall, with a room in the coach house. The Hall itself looks fantastic, very olde-worlde with lots of history behind it. "lovely country get away"
We have stayed at the Walton Hotel before and loved it so decided to stay at the hall this time , the staff were amazing and very polite, the suite we stayed in was lovely although we had to go out the hotel and round to the side to find the room 37. Many of the wait staff had dirt hair and cloths and very unkept looking, as well as some of the housecleaners smelled. We stayed in one of the coach house rooms which was lovely. The hall and grounds are beautiful. The stay was let down by an awful meal in the Moncrief restaurant althought the waiter service was excellent all four of our party struggled to see how they were awarded 2 rosettes.
