Reviewed by Mickey of Pinecrest on Dec 3, 2009
We just stayed in one of Disney's Fort Wilderness cabins and my family, 2 adults 3 small kids, had a great time. The cabins offers a nice small kitchen that includes all utensils. The bedroom is a bit crowded but it does have a full size bed and a set of bunk beds. The family room with a Murphy bed was perfect. We BBQ'd for dinner and made breakfest in the morning and saved a ton of money doing so. We rented a golf cart $185.00 three days and it was worth it, this place is huge. Overall we had a great time and will be back.

Cabins are a little outdated but a great place for families to stay. They are kept very clean and just about anything you could need is there. Leave dirty dishes and unmade beds when you leave in the am and all is perfect when you return. However, if you do not like "critters" this is not the place for you. Many frogs and lizards! Bats and armadillos were also there, although rarely seen. We loved it and our kids loved catching frogs, toads and lizards daily. I will definitely stay again.

We love this place! The cabins give us a campground experience. Rented a golf cart during our stay and had fun riding around the grounds. Lots to do at the campground. Very comfortable and friendly environment. Kitchen has all the basics, but don't look for a corkscrew or tongs. My daughter loves the Murphy Bed. We've stayed here several times and will definitely go back.

We've stayed in these cabins several times and just love them. Plenty of room, full kitchen, outside deck w/picnic table and grill. Cabin is kitchen well stocked, but we don't cook big meals. Sleeps 6, so there are plenty of towels. The fun of camping without any of the inconvenience. We don't have small children but still enjoy the campground activities and swimming pools. We always rent a golf cart to get around the campground.

Reviewed by Jean of Miami on Dec 4, 2008
I'm more of a high end boutique hotel person and was not sure I'd like the whole campground thing. I stayed in a cabin which was spotless and new. While not high end, it was like Target or Ikea does rustic cabin ... small, cute, kitschy and comfortable. Campground had tons of activities and we spent a day dedicated to those. Our favorites were the most well groomed and well trained ponies I've ever seen, fishing poles complete with worms, horse drawn carriage ride, restaurants with entertainment, and a ferry directly into the magic kingdom (bus service to other theme parks). Shuttle buses run frequently with no more than a 5 minute wait, even late night. For those looking for a white glove service hotel, this is not your place. But if you're looking for a more outdoorsy experience with all the bells & whistles and convenience of a Disney property, this can't be beat.

The log cabin was excellent in view of facilities, cleanliness and size however there were two aspects which were not satisfactory. One night we were disturbed between 3.00 am and 5.00am by road resurfacing near to our cabin. This was totally unacceptable especially as we were told in our welcome pack to make no noise between 10pm and 7.00am. this repair could have been done during daylight hours. Due to the size of the resort it was necessary to catch buses between cabin and outpost or settlement before commencing any onward journey to a Walt Disney park these buses were not regular nor frequent enough. This would put me off recommending this resort to potential future clients.
