This hotel is very centrally located. Very close to the Hauptbahnhof. Less than a 5 minute walk. Easy access to the subway and walking distance to many tourist sights. I was a single traveler in town for two nights and under my circumstances the hotel served my needs very well. Price and location attracted me to the hotel. For someone that plans to be out on the town, or out with friends I would say the small […] room size and prefabricated all plastic bathroom would not pose a big hinderance. If however, you expect to be in the room a lot after let's say business meetings or social functions, then maybe this wouldn't be the price point hotel you are after. Besides location I was impressed by the overall cleanliness of the room and the property in general. While the internet was an additional charge, the speed of the wifi was excellent. Hotel is located downtown, which explains the price. Everything is in walking distance, including the Bahnhof. However, there are nicer hotels in better areas that are cheaper and a better quality. The public transportation is easy to navigate, so don't let location be a reason for selecting a hotel. There was construction going on in front of building […] and it is next to a sex shop. The Hotel Dolomit isn't a place you'd go for an amazing hotel experience, but it is a decent cheap place to stay if you have an early morning train out of Munich. Do not accept a room on the top floor, (6th floor,) on the street side because the roof sharply slopes on both sides of the single dormer window and you cannot stand up in one half of the room. If you are looking for a budget hotel near the Munich train station, then this hotel fits the need. The rooms are small but clean. The staff was friendly. There are lots of ethnic (Turkish, Greek, Bosnian) restaurants in the area ---- but if you go to the other side of the train station, you'll find more up-scale restaurants available. One tip: I reserved a non-smoking single, and when I check in the clerk told me they cannot guarantee a "non-smoking" room. As it was, my room was just fine. When I checked out, I asked the clerk about this "no guarantee", and he said they can only guarantee a "non-smoking double", but with "single rooms", they don't guarantee it.
