You cannot stay closeer to the airport. You walk from the Hotel elevator across to the the departure gates. Staff was very helpful with directions on using the train to get into the city.

It was a wonderful stay. The service industry in Germany varies greatly from that in the US. Keep your expectations in check. The hotel was very close to the Dom, train station, and several attractions we could simply walk to. Over all, it was a good value for this time of year.

We chose this hotel as we were not sure whether the inner city would be accessible by car during the carnival (it wasn't). This hotel is across the river from the city - about 30 minutes on foot to the Cathedral. The facilities were excellent - particularly the pool/spa complex. The pool is long enough to swima few strokes and the sauna, steam bath and jacuzzi were enjoyable. The buffet breakfast was copious and with a wide choice,

Perhaps my expectations were too high - but I did not find this to be a pleasant hotel. The external surroundings are noisy because of construction immediately outside, the building itself is somewhat old with inconsistent heating/cooling in the room which made it incredibly hot one night and too cool the next, the room door is thin enough that I heard […] each conversation of passersby in the middle of the night, the bar/coffee station has staff that kept customers waiting far too long to place orders. The hotel staff are pleasant but only two (the concierge and one of the desk staff) seemed to be engaged in serving the guests well. The restaurant is very nice and I have nothing but nice things to say about the dining experience there. But overall, the hotel did not live up to expectations. Read more

Great hotel! Classic european elegence that might have looked just a touch old-fashioned, but pulled it off with sheer style. Friendly, efficient service, perfect location next to the Konigsallee, Altstadt, and the Hofgarten. My room was huge and very comfortable, my colleagues' were not as large but still very nice. There is a big construction […] project going on right outside the front door which makes hotel access for drivers a bit inconvenient; and really, no iron or ironing board in the rooms at this price level? Hotel was very nice, room was clean. Fantastic location next to Alstadt - lots of restaurants, bars within walking distance. The exterior of the hotel and surrounding area is currently under construction. I was on a higher floor so noise didn't bother me but could be an issue for some travelers.

There was a lot of construction going on in front of the hotel but the hotel was very nice and the majority of the staff were very helpful and spoke good english which was a real bonus for me. Its proximaty to old town and shopping was fantastic. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Har besøkt hotellet flere ganger; denne gangen var det ikke varmtvann i dusjen i mer enn 2 min før det ble kaldt.Frokosten er grei men var bedre før og det finnes kun minitallerkner så du må opp og gå flere ganger hvis du skal ha mer enn et rundtsykke! Baren er fin og flott og servicen der er god.

This is the third Steigenberger hotel I have tried in Germany, and I am very satisfied. Rooms are tastly decorated, and the hotels are always located at the right place i the city. デュッセルドルフでは最高峰のホテルで駐在員時代からVIP用に使用していました。残念ながら、2015年まで地下鉄の工事で当分回りは騒々しいですが、ホテルの雰囲気とサービスはやはり一流です。

keine parkplätze vorhanden, unkontrollierte parkhausempfehlung durch das hotel. parkhaus war morgens noch verschlossen, hätte das hotel darauf hinweisen müssen. sehr schlecht kommuniziert.

Hotel befindet sich noch immer mitten im Umbau. Keine Parkmöglichkeiten und auch keinen Parkservice. Frühstücksraum noch nicht renoviert, Fenster sehr schlecht isoliert. Frühstück entsprich keinem 5 Sterne Standard. Keine frisch gepressten Säfte, Omelett war schlecht (und dies ist ja nichts schwieriges), ... Bar sehr alt und total überteuert, Glas Champagner […] mit Holundersirup 14 EURO = stolzer Preis. Allgemeiner Service / Umgang mit Kunden lässt zu wünschen übrig.
