The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The included buffet breakfast consisted of eggs, cold meat, cereal and fresh baked croissants. This hotel is great value! It is a 10 minute walk from the Mestre bus/train station, next door to a supermarket and close to kebab/pizza restaurants and some pubs. It is very easy to get into central Venice. There is a bus right across the street that comes every 10 mins and takes about 12 mins to get to the main bus station in Venice. It costs a little over a euro one way and you can get the ticket at the reception (along with vaporetta tickets). Keep in mind though that st.mark's square is about a 35 min walk from Piazalle Roma ( the bus station). Unless you want to lug your bags through the narrow, busy streets and (many) staircases of Venice and pay a fortune for a dump, I would recommend staying in the Mestre area and this hotel was great value for the money.

We stayed 1 night only and were very happy with the hotel. Dont forget to get you key from Hotel Luca as the Casa Dolce has no reception. The feeling of the hotel is as you were resident of Venice. We highly recommend it.

San Marco (St Mark’s) is quintessential visitors’ Venice. The Piazza San Marco, famous for its pigeons, campanile, basilica, Palazzo Ducale (Doge’s Palace) and expensive cafes, is unmissable. The waterfront views are legendary and more gondolas depart from here than anywhere else in the city. In season the Piazza teems with day trippers though just a block or two away streets are quiet and offer more museums and palaces to explore.

This hotel had a great location, right behind Piazza San Marco, but still quiet. The staff was not very helpful, when we called from the airport, they told us just to walk through the Piazza and we would find them. We walked around for 30 extra minutes with our luggage searching for them. If they had just given us the main street name and then take […] the second right, it would have been simple. Additionally, the service at the desk was not great. I asked them to make a reservation for us for dinner, but they just responded that they didn't have the number. There were also no helpful with hours for the sites we wanted to see or assisting us in hiring a guide. The rooms were good enough, clean bathrooms (which is a must for me) but the beds were horrible. My husband and I actually chose to sleep on the sleep sofa instead of the bed in the bedroom, our kids were thrilled. The LOCATION is FABULOUS. We walked everywhere. We were right behind Piazza San Marco (although it was quiet at night for sleeping), easy walking distance to Rialto bridge, and water taxis that take you everywhere in just a few minutes. "Close to San Marcos Square"
We disembarked from the cruise ship by 9:30 a.m. and traveled by water bus to San Marcos Square, but our 2 bedroom suite was not ready until 1:30 pm. Once we got into our room, we noticed there were no coffee cups, and the showerhead was broken. Hotel staff quickly replaced the showerhead, and informed us to go downstairs to the coffee shop in another […] part of the hotel for coffee cups which we did. We were happy with the location. "Suites Torre dell'Orologgio was excellent choice"
We walked out our door onto Plaza San Marco. Venice is beautiful, hotel was very traditional in keeping w charm of Venice. Hotel staff was very nice and attentive. Only issues, no internet in room, you had to go down to lobby. Came back at 10 pm to find hotel door locked, rang bell waited several minutes before we were let in. "Suites dell' orologio, great location"
The location is great, the rooms are bigger than you can imagine, this is supposed to be qualified as an apart hotel and not a hotel. If you are looking for size and location this is a good option, a little overpriced but still a good choice

The location is great - very near San Marco. The suite was large. The hotel personel did not tell us that the front door was locked at 11pm. The website says they have airport transportation, which is why we picked it. The transportation is a private water taxi, which was very expensive, and they did not tell us about the alternative of the public water […] taxi, which would have saved us considerable money. The bed sloped toward the center which made it difficult for two people. The proximity to the clock tower meant we clearly heard the chimes all night long. Read more

"Venice Torres del Orologio stay"
My wife and travelled and stayed at this hotel and found it fantastic. We travelled with 3 other couples that also stayed here and we were all quite surprised. The location, the quality, the spaciousness, cleanliness and furnishings of our rooms was more than we expected. We'd have no hesitation in recommending or staying again ourselves. With Venice […] being such an amazing city, it can be quite expensive, but our rates were quite acceptable when compared to some other options more expensive and not as central. Read more

Hotellet var fantastisk. Det så veldig dårlig ut utenifra, men inne var alt helt topp. Vi hadde en stor fin leilighet.
"Torro del Orologio - Venise"
Situation idéale - A deux pas de la Place Saint-Marc. Hitel calme donnant sur un petit canal. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Un très bon service (Accueil, personnel de ménage) et des activités prises en charge (départ pour l'île de Murano) Des chambres spacieuses et très propres, bien équipées.
