"hotel vraimant mediocre"

The location is good, a big marked is nearby and is very close to Haram. Easy access to every where in Cairo and other cities and very good staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

I experienced a warm Egyptian's hospitality and a good quality of service and comfortable accommodation. The service is very good, rooms are well maintained, pool is so clean and the location is suitable, only few minutes from the Pyramids. We would like to thank the hotel staff: House Keeping, Laundry staff and specially the reception's team Ahmad, Alaa, and Shadi. Regarding allowing a guest into your room, according to policies and regulation in most if the Arab Countries, It is not allowed to let anyone into your room from other gender if you are note formally Married. and that's normal. I do recommend this hotel as I am enjoying my time here,

"Rooms are nice and food is decent"
05/12/14 RMS301 Pemberton, New Jersey
Rooms were decent and well maintained. The halls were not so nice. The pool is small but very clean. Food quality was good. The staff is usually friendly but if you are a foreigner do not expect to be able to invite any locals to your room. For example my friend, a woman like me, was not even allowed to go to my room.

stayed here for a week, the hotel was nice and clean, the staff were friendly but one aspect of this hotel i did not like was the respect for peoples personally property staying at the hotel. I left my room for a couple of minutes to have a word with reception about taxi transport. when i returned to my room on the top floor my gold ring was gone from the dresser table in my room. they don't respect peoples personally property and think they can just walk in to peoples rooms and help themselves to other peoples belongings. i have read other incidents relating to theft at this hotel on blogs at various websites, seems to me this is a regular thing at this hotel, just sorry i read about it after i left my stay. no longer will i be staying at this hotel when i return to Egypt neither will i be referring any of my friends to this hotel.
"Set your expectations..."

Hotel is fine, comfortable and convenient to Giza pyramids. Set your expectations: remember it's only 3-stars - you can get more stars and get closer to the pyramids AND pay through the nose. The neighbourhood is quite safe to walk to shops and banks. If you're nervous, the hotel will send for takeaway falafels, shawarma etc. for you. Note: Pyramid view comes with overlooking the mosque so, if you don't want an early wakeup, ask for a room on the back, away from it. Pyramid view is way better from the restaurant terrace anyway.

"Friendly staff, good location"
11/12/13 Alaa G Riyadh, Ar Riyad, Saudi Arabia
The location is excellent nearby the pyramids and on the main Aulahram street.the price was unbeatable 88 usd for four nights with breakfast. The breakfast was very basic coffe , cheese , pastries and some local staff.it can be really better. You can see the pyramids from the rooftop in a clear sunny day. The only thing the dtaff in panorama restaurant were sooo loud and talkative with each other in their personal stuff.needs to be trained more.
"Ok place to stay"

We ended up at this motel because our night train from Cairo to Luxor was cancelled due to the coup on 4 July 2013. Our tour guide bought us to the Gawharet instead of the Grand Pyramid which we had been staying at. When we arrived I was not very happy. The Grand Pyramid is nicer. I also had to purchase two rooms instead of one room as I did at the Grand Pyramid. We were escorted to our rooms and it was shabby. The nightstand had a top that had a broken off corner. The room looked dated. The bathroom fan did not run and only hummed. Eventually you could smell a burning smell from the fan. Also the fan was in a window with a wooden cutout which was not nice. I noted they did have English language BBC for news. I paid $80.00 dollars for both rooms while the much nicer room at the Grand Pyramid was $100.00. I was not very happy with anything when I went to sleep. The next morning we woke up and went to breakfast. My opinion began to change. A lady was in the hallway hard at work scrubbing the walls. We went downstairs and a very attentive gentleman led us to breakfast. As we entered the breakfast area I could see a nice looking pool. The breakfast layout was very nice. Several servers were present and everyone was polite and attentive. We went to the front desk to enquire about our ride to the airport. Everyone was very nice and took care of us. I was very impressed that the motel mailed two letters for me. I had inquired at the Grand Pyramid and was told it was 18 pounds and I could leave the letters at the desk with postage attached. The Gawharet took the letters and after collecting the same 18 pounds send a runner out to mail the letters. That was service! I would recommend this motel, but not as my first choice. The Grand Pyramid only a few blocks away is nicer. However I would stay at the Gawharet again, but I would ask to see my room first. Oh, the wi fi was on but did not work. It was also free.

The breakfast was ok , the rooms are very goods , the pools are ok but just for summer , the staff are ok they give to us free transfer to pyramid ( thank you ) , i have just problem because i don't succeed to make web check-in for our flight , maybe i don't insist to much. Be careful with taxi driver when you go in Cairo , don't accept to delivery you otherwise then hotel !
