"Needs some work"

For the price, the hotel was actually pretty nice, but there were problems with the entire place needing to be updated. The outlets were only two-prong outlets (couldn't plug in computer) and all of the utilities were older. Cute lamps and room, but there were old burn stains in the carpet and we had a lot of problems with the shower and sink faucets (no hot water first night). The grounds appear to be pretty run down. The photos were misleading. The bench was torn into pieces, the pond looks more like a sess pool and the peddle boat doesn't look safe at all. It also said there was a restaurant in front of the hotel, but there wasn't anything. We had to drive quite a ways to the nearest restaurants. But it wasn't packed. If you like peace and quiet, this is nice for a short stay. Not sure I'll come again though.

We were very pleased with the accommodations The staff was very good and the room was exceptionally clean. Would not hesitate to go back.

The room was barely clean and needed a functional door lock. There was no one on duty to whom to complain when we realized that when we left the room, the door would not lock. There was no one on duty for check out service.

Very traditional 50's type old school motel with little cottages and a strip of rooms. Tiny, but charming cottage with a little back porch looking out at the mountains. Not much to look at from the road.

We did not have hot water in the shower. However, when notified the management was immediately attentive to correct the problem or move us to another cabin.

Stayed on our way back to NY from Stowe. Bitterly cold outside 20F, lovely & warm inside room. Cosy rooms - if a little dated, but everything worked & we were very comfy. Good value for money.
