Staff was helpful. Room clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. View from room very nice. It was a good value for the price. We were there at the end of October and found the main street the hotel was on to be very busy/crowded and more "touristy" than we had anticipated. The hair dryer attached to the wall was broken and the shower room door wasn't completely closed, so the bathroom floor was always wet. The location is ideal, right in the center of the main street, however, if you stay in the rooms facing to the main street, Saturday night would be really noisy through the night.

As others have mentioned in their reviews, the hotel's location along the main center is very convenient with restaurants and shopping stores nearby. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful when asked for recommendations to restaurants and storage of luggage. The room was above average and a good value. The only two items to consider are the small […] shower area and the wi-fi, which cost an extra 3 euros per day. I would recommend the hotel to single travelers/couples who are looking to stay a few days in Taormina while visiting other city in Sicily. I only had one night to stay in Taormina, and could not have chosen a better-located hotel. It is on the main pedestrian promenade, just a few steps from the archway, and a taxi can drop you right at the arch. The staff was very nice, and the view from the terrace of my room was lovely.

We stayed here for one night. The hotel was decent- clean and the staff was nice. The hotel was located right in the main street of Taormina where all the shopping and restaurants are. If we were staying more than 1 night, we probably would have chose a hotel with a pool as this one did not have one.

The Hotel Isabella is in the heart of Taormina and walking the town from here is easy. We stayed in the off season so it was quiet, although we had a room overlooking the Corso. The room was small, but elegant and the bathroom had both tub and shower. The staff was friendly and helpful. Taormina is a tiny, but beautiful village. Most of the accommodation is very expensive (resorts) and we wanted something cheaper and simpler (as we don't go on holiday to spend much time in hotels!). Hotel Isabella is in the most perfect location for exploring and enjoying Taormina, and the staff are really lovely, very helpful and speak excellent English. […] However, don't expect much for your money compared to other hotels of a similar price in other parts of Sicily. The hotel is old and a bit run down - our room did not have air conditioning and was awfully stuffy with the sun heating it up and not much respite from the window; the shower was pretty awful, but it worked; breakfast was pretty basic. It is a good central hotel on the main pedestrian road in the town centre. Clean room. Bring some earplugs, because people in the road tend to chat until late and with little regard for others. On the second floor there was no wireless connectivity.

The hotel is good only for its location, which is just in the best location. When we arrived we were given a room which was facing the high street, tourists, and shops so the noise was insaine even though the windows did a good job to keep most of the noises away. The bed was twin beds put together to make a double which were very uncomfortable as they […] kept moving apart from each other. We asked for a different room but were tol that the hotel was full and they couldnt help. Cleanliness of the bathroom was dissapointing. Breakfast in the hotel also dissapointing. The good things about this hotel are only the location and that it has its own private beach. After all it was okish, i would have rated it higher if we were given a different room with a double bed which was what we booked. Use public transport to go to their private beach, do not use their shuttle service as that will cost u 8 euros per day instead of 3.60 for 2 people on public transport which go every 40 minutes.. The hotel is in a good location on the main street. The rooftop terrace is a great spot for breakfast. Breakfast and service from an experienced, professional waiter was very good. We had a VERY noisy air-conditioner fan which was clearly struggling. First thing in the morning after our first night we advised the front desk and they promised to have […] maintenance look at the unit. That evening on our return we checked and the front desk said that maintenance had left for the day and it would need to wait for the following day. By the end of our 5-days stay and several requests later no one had bothered to look at the unit. The room had been advertised to include a safe which it didn't. When we asked the front desk for a safe they said they didn't have any more available but would be happy to provide us access to a personal safe behind the front desk - this seemed an ok compromise until we realised the front desk's safe was a small lockable box which could only accommodate a wallet and iPhone. Useless for an iPad or documents. In summary as a 3-star hotel it is very average - if there are any problems don't expect the front desk to help or show any empathy. Read more

The staff at Hotel Isabella were fabulous, we arrived early and it was no problem to hold our luggage, they even allowed my 3 adult children to use the service of their shuttle to the private beach. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of pastries croissants ham chesse to eat. Nothing was too much trouble,they spoke very good english too. We used this hotel on the recommendation of a friend who had stayed 12months earlier. The location could not be faulted, the room had plenty of space for our bags, and a roomy bathroom.. On two occassions we asked for an earlier breakfast time due to an early day tour we had booked, the staff did their best to have things ready for us, as this was an […] unusual request. Det är ett bra hotell med bra frukost... duschen är tyvärr av modell mindre och städningen är ok ... men sånt tänker man inte på när man är i Taormina... hotellet erbjuder buss-turer till stranden för 4€/pers. Då ingår gratis solstolar. Hotellet har ingen egen parkering. Har man bil får man parkera i P-hus för ca 13€/dygn. Det går gratisbussar till […] p-huset med jämna mellanrum. Hållplatsen ligger ca 100 meter fr hotellet. WiFi:n är inte gratis. 1€ för en tim, 2€ för 4 tim eller 4€ för 24 tim. Tiden räknas av varje gång du låggar in. Read more
