This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at: the value is unbeatable, the service is incredible, the views are gorgeous and the rooms are oustanding. It's no more than 20 minutes from the airport. Patong is far - but they have a shuttle that takes you for free at night.

JW does one thing very right, they create a great family vacation for the kids and adults. The playroom was great, baby elephants everyday came to the pool, waterslide, and even kids plates and utensils at every restaurant. The cafe was the perfect place to eat all our meals, the breakfast which was included in our rate was an A+, the service is great, the room roomy, they really set the standard high for family resorts. Downsides include it's remote location, not by anything else really and taxis are pretty expensive to come and go.

Loved the design of this hotel, it is modern and really beautiful. The only downsides are the distance from anything else except the JW Marriott, and taxis are expensive to come and go. Also, if you are travelling with kids the JW Marriott might be a little more kid friendly.

The biggest issue was checking in because the only person working that night didn't speak a word of English. The room was basic but okay for the price. It is quite expensive to get here by taxi and to go anywhere from the resort.

Located on the west coast, Patong Beach is the most popular beach in Phuket. This two-kilometre-long beach offers everything from water sports and massages to food and drinks. The nightlife selection is infinite, including the famous Soi Bangla with its numerous bars, neon lights, and night clubs; dining along cliff-side restaurants with views of the coast, or at the two Thai food courts on Rat-U-Thit Road. This is a pretty nice hotel in a good location in Patong. Its only a couple of minutes walk from the beach and is very close to the main activities of Patong (but far enough away not to be disturbed by noise). The hotel has 2 lovely big pools and are not crowded. It has a gym and a spa within the grounds. It seems that the spa is more expensive […] than the spas just outside the grounds of the hotel but we never used them so can't comment on the quality. The gym is pretty small and has very few machines, however, its sufficient. The breakfast buffet is lovely, and very clean. We were a bit disappointed with our room on the 2nd floor of the main hotel. It was a bit outdated and needs a good refurbishment. We had a garden view room, but it looked like the other rooms in the hotel had been updated (sea view rooms). The bungalows look lovely. The service overall was fine. We ate in the restaurant several times due to the downpours going on outside. The food is lovely in the restaurant but it probably lacks ambience. All in all, we were pretty happy with the hotel. "what you pay is what you get"
The pictures of the room were way better then the actual rooms....the condition of the bed could be better and suppose they are extremely old hence the poor comfort of the bed. Hotel manager should consider upgrade to improve the quality of stay. Just my 2 cents worth.
"Club Andaman Beach Resort- spacious grounds"
Having stayed here in 2009, this year was dissappointing.With staff havind been told they will be terminated prior to refurbish/redevelopement due March 2011,this has resulted in the staff being less than the obliging happy crew they were in 2009. Also maintenance has slipped to be an annoyance over minor issues.i.e. shower selector/pool seating(broken)etc. […] This year the buffet breakfast suffered due to lack of variety, a complete contrast to last year. "great place for an active vacation"
Great hotel, on entry hallways and lifts a little old and shabby but our room was great. Very clean, tiled, tv and good bathroom. Great daily room service. Hotel grounds are the real deal clincher though, gym downstairs, two pools and tennis court. It was also a 2 minute walk to the beach, close to everything, but far enough away from the party streets […] that you can't hear the music at night (10 min easy walk to get there if you want to party )I imagine it would be fantastic for a family vacation, we are a couple and we loved it, and for the price we got it in the low season it was a bargain. "CLUB ANDAMAN PATONG BEACH"
This is the second year we have stayed. We thought that the hotel was not up to the standard of last year 2009. Gardens and surrounds need maintenance and cleaning. If recommending I would advise other travellers of this. Cost of room is not cheap therefore much higher standard was expected.
"Last days of Club Andaman"
I have been visited this hotel five times since 2002 and this was last time because they close 1.5.2011. Landlease period 32 years is over. Hotel now will be closed 6-12 months and start again with new owner and new staff and 5 star as they plan. I enjoy every visit in this hotel, great location near the beach. I stay bungalow every time and that was […] clean and nice. Only this last time of course staff was moody and quiet because they get fired so I understand them lack of enthusiasm. Breakfast was only shadow of that what was last visit 2008. I will go check this hotel again when it will be revised. Read more
