Hotel extremely well located, right next to Mandarin Oriental. Nice decor, very clean room, great bath. Nice breakfast buffet. Staff speaks English. Very central, you can walk to everything, Charles Bridge and Old Town. Parking expensive, so find a parking space on the streets a few blocks away.

Above all else Hotel William is in a great location. As a single female traveler I felt safe and comfortable in and around the hotel. The #22 tram stops at the front door and youre a few short blocks to the Charles Bridge. The location of the hotel was very good. Parking was an issue but that is the case anywhere in that area. My biggest issue was the hotel staff. Every encounter was unpleasant no matter which employee I had to deal with. The staff gives you the impression that they do not want you there. Clean, comfortable room... a LOT of stairs but exercise is good... location is great... you just need thick skin as the staff isn't very nice. Breakfast was nice as well. We showed up 30 minutes before the end of the breafast buffet and they refused to refill items that were empty, but there was enough there to put together a meal. Our room on the third floor was very noisy since it was facing a busy street with car and tram traffic. No A/C, which made the room almost uninhabitable on a humid July day. The hotel is clean with a staff person at the front desk 24 hours a day. The breakfast is excellent, the shower is hot, wifi works, the cable works with CNN, Al Jazeria, BBC and CCTV in English with other German, Russian, Czech and Turkish. No transportation needed. We paid for parking in a secure lot one block away. We walked to all the sites. The Charles Bridge is about four city blocks away. Breakfast was good plus they have currency exchange at no charge.

I have stayed in quite a few similarly priced places throughout Europe and this one is one of the best in it's price range. The bed was comfortable, the check-in procedure is faster than most European hotels I have stayed in, and the room was both cute and very clean. The breakfast also had more variety than the usual cold cuts/bread plus cereal that […] you find in other places (noodles with cheese and spinach! plus warm, made on site pastries and great fruit). The hotel is in great neighborhood. Mala Strana in itself a great destination spot with Prague Castle, Letna, Petrin Hill, Kampa, and many more attractions. it's only about 15-20 min to the Karlov Most and the to Old Town. We weren't, however, very pleased with the hotel itself. The room wasn't as clean as we would have wanted. We found some soap scum […] in the shower and small food particles on the floor. The safe wasn't working. The room and shower were tiny. The beds very hard and the pillows were just a joke as they were extremely thin. That being said, for the price we paid for this hotel, we can't complain that much. Furthermore, most of the time we spent outside and only used the room for sleep and rest, although I wish the beds were at least a bit more softer. The staff is friendly and will help you find things you're looking for in town. Breakfast wasn't as good as we expected. Not that many choices and served only till 10 AM. Read more

Very nice hotel for the price, we really enjoyed the decor of the common areas/dining room. Staff were very good and helpful. Only drawback were the beds; extremely firm and we weren't given option of a double bed although we requested a double at time of booking.

Good location. very clean. excellent quality bed, nice bathroom. Room very small, probably only really large enough for a single bed, but ok as you don't spend much time there. Would have been nice to have a comfortable seating area somewhere in the hotel to relax in after a tiring day sightseeing - only seating area was the breakfast room.

Four of us stayed at the Hotel William from 9/4/12 until 12/4/12. I booked it from my previous experience of it in 2004. However, while the room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, the towels were very threadbare, one of lamps was broken and the handle on the window was broken (Room 202). I would still recommend this hotel because of its location.

If you want a hotel to stay in on a short sightseeing trip to Prague this is one to consider. Hotel William is situated within a short walking distance to the Charles Bridge, where most of the tourists seem to congregate. This is a definate plus.Shuttle service from Airport to hotel was excellant with minimal delay, reverse service to the airport I […] found was a bit hit and miss but luckily still got there just in time.(bear in mind the tight timescales imposed by Easyjet). The Hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. Rooms are adequate and are serviced by the cleaning staff to a high standard. If you are a PC nerd there is an internet connection but at a price. The hotel lift to the upper floors is quite small and trying to get 2 people in plus their luggage is a bit of a squeeze to get up to the higher levels.(wonder why the Brits always end up there) Breakfast was good with a great choice of food laid out. Breakfast Room was a bit cinderella ish. Some Health & Safety issues but manageable. No kettle or tea making facilities in room but a minibar of sorts provided (crisps. peanuts and water). Never having been to Prague before We found the hotel quite acceptable, with attentive staff. Would go there again because of its location. Overall I would rate it 3 star but could do with a few tweaks. Read more

Great place to be located - any part of Prague is easily accesible by foot and there are tramlines outside that can take you further afield. Plenty of good food and drink emporiums nearby. Hotel had interesting decor and looked quite unique (I was marginally disappointed to find it was part of a chain) and staff were helpful; the only initial gripe […] was having to wait for 55 minutes for room to be ready (it was supposed to be at 2pm and we were told 20 mins wait, then 20 mins again, etc) - where things can run behind they should have prioritised or been more honest so we could have gone out rather than sit in the reception getting bored and wasting time. Hotellet har nok behov for oppgradering. Bla. var det lekkasje fra naborommets bad som trakk inn på vårt bad. Ikke noe stort problem da naborommet var bebodd kun en natt.
