We thought the staff was very helpful ("try the breakfast one time to see if it suits you"). Any questions we had were cheerfully answered. The ocean facing room w/ balcony was fantastic. We were offered a junior suite but the desk clerk said don't take because it was facing the street & would be noisy. Very nice room and the location is great! The patio area is wonderful and the snack bar/restaurant is truly great. The pool is very nice, too. Access to the beach couldn't be better. The breakfast buffet was amazing - something for everyone. I'd stay here again w/o looking at any other hotels.

This is my first time in Spain, hotel staff was very polite and courteous but their a-la -carte food was below standard. I will recommend stay but not food, there are plenty of choices of food around the hotel. Fries were cold and when told to waiter, he just shrugged his shoulders.

We had a nice stay at this hotel. We went for a beach trip as a couple, but it has a nice atmosphere for families. The room was clean and one of the largest we've had in Europe. The staff were very friendly and gave us some suggestions for dinner in Old Town. I thought that the breakfast was worth the cost, as they had everything I could possibly want […] (made to order omelets) and cava for mimosas. The pool area is small and you do have to pay to use the sun loungers on the beach. However, the hotel does give you beach towels to use. Yes, there are people offering goods and massages, but they leave you alone if you say "no". It's just a short walk up the promenade to more restaurants/icecream shops. I would recommend everyone to pay close attention to the bill at the end of the stay. We saw several people with incorrect charges and we were charged incorrectly, too. As soon as we explained that the charges were incorrect, they were taken off. Overall, it's missing some of the amenities you may expect from a 4 or 5 star resort-type hotel - no toiletries, the showers could use an upgrade, bar service wasn't great, minibar wasn't well-stocked, only one restaurant (which didn't seem worth going to for dinner or lunch), but if you're looking for a hotel on the beach that's clean with pleasant staff, this isn't a bad place. My husband and I were very pleased when we stayed at the beginning of June at the El Fuerte Miramar Spa. The staff was so helpful and friendly and when we arrived, they offered us a balcony room for a few more euros, since they were having a special.. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The wifi worked great through most of the hotel and the […] pool area, but only worked in the front part of the room. We were also very impressed with their huge breakfast buffet. The omelets were delicious! I was a little surprised that this site has the spa but no fitness area. I had to walk to the El Fuerte a few blocks away to use the gym. 1st of all the breakfast buffet was amazing and the hotel was in a good location. Just keep in mind Marbella is not near an airport or train station, so it's a little bit of a treck if you haven't rented a car. Our 1st room had an unusual odour like a paint smell, then we were switched to another room which was better. We wouldn't say a 4* hotel decorated […] room & no little shampoo ect. if you need it. Pool cold although the outside was nice & warm. Rowdy, drunk German guys @ the pool for a few hours which were not cut off or spoken with which in turn cleared the whole pool area of other guests! Booked a tour through the hotel which was screwed up by the tour company with no appolgy or suggestions for something else & we were just suppose to be satisfied with our money back! Pictures of the Spa area looked nice, but you don't see it unless you are paying for the services. We checked in to the hotel with no issues, however a number of other people did seem to be having difficulty as the hotel was very full and it seemed people were being sent to different hotels. Definatley upgrade to a side view room. We didn't see the standard rooms but apparantley they were tiny. The pool area is covered with palm trees which can cause […] shade around the pool for most of the day. And the beds in the room are quite soft which gave me a bad back which is rare for me! Location is perfect with direct access to the beach and paved walkway. Many of the staff appeared indifferent to the guests, we experienced none of the nice touches you come to expect in an hotel particularly at check in; such as a smile and "hope you enjoy your stay"etc. We were not given any information about the hotel, meal times or given the necessary […] note to get beach towels, we had to ask later. In our 5 day stay we were not able to get a bed beside the pool once. All beds covered by towels from early morning despite a notice asking people not to do this. The pool and area around it is far too small for the number of guests, not much the hotel can do about this except perhaps offering free beds on the beach instead of charging 4euros per bed. Top-quality hotel on the beach at a really good cost, within 5 minutes walk of the old town. Breakfasts were so huge and delicious that we never needed lunch. Beachside bar a nice touch. Staff really excellent and friendly. Going to go back next year.

Had a great time, I wanted a quiet holiday as I was alone on this trip so didn't particularly fancy the craziness of Puerto Banus. This hotel was perfect and I'd definitely stay there again, the view from my room was stunning!

Excellent hotel in ideal location. Our side sea view room had a lovely view and got the sun on the balcony from morning til afternoon. Room was perfect, very clean and ensuite bathroom was large and modern - only small criticism was mirror above dressing table was too high to see in when seated! Pool area was great. Have visited the hotel twice and will be back as it is perfect for me. Right on the prom, so good for walking in both directions. My husband and I spent a week at the Hotel Miramar Spa in Marbella to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted by a wonderful receptionist who kindly arranged an upgrade for us to a side sea view room, and took care of our bags whilst we sat back with a glass of cava. The room was perfect with a lovely side sea […] view and balcony from which we could sea the sunrise and sunset. The hotel was impeccably clean, and the maid very friendly. The breakfast is by far the best I have ever experienced, catering for the full english, continental style, health conscious and sweet toothed. We also tried a couple of pool side snacks which were very nice and well worth the money. Also the evening meal (buffet style) was very well received, although a little expensive i thought for non-waitered service. We were also offered the opportunity to visit the spa for a discounted price, which we did not try as we ran out of time, but maybe on our return. The location of the hotel is perfect, literally a few steps from the beach, with the promenade running in between which is great for a nice stroll in the evening to visit some wonderful restaurants by the sea. The plaza de naranja is a short walk away, and each time we visited we found new streets and shops to explore. The food was consistently good everywhere we went. The service in the hotel was of a very high standard, and I would rate the hotel as a five star based on the quality! Well worth a visit. Read more
