The location is very convenient: food, shopping, transportation, etc. Other than that, I did not enjoy one thing from the room such as the smell from the air conditioner, a cockroach showed up during my 1st day shower, individual boiler but not enough hot water to finish a shower leisurely, no space for a stand or tiny dressing table to place your stuff […] (may be they expect the guest to put everything under the bed, when I saw the pipes in the bathroom, I thought I checked in a public housing instead of a hotel, free wifi was not working at all until my husband made a complaint and insisted their concierge to check on it...as a conclusion, it's not worth what I paid for at all. The worst hotel i ever stay, be careful with the pictures, is a 2x2 mts the complete room, is like a closet, the bathroom is a joke and all the tuberies are out of the walls, if any of other room flush or use water you will hear, you can Hear everything in the others rooms, its to expensive for the quality.

The water pipe in each room made very loud noise whenever you or your next door are using water. The room is so small, there is no table to put your person belonging, you are forced to put everything on the floor. Very surprised how small our double bed and room size. This was the smallest hotel room with 4-5 stars price we never had in our life. I always look for a bargain when traveling. Hotel MK was definitely a bargain, and I'm not really picky since I'm usually out sightseeing or sleeping while in the room. In my opinion, there are a couple of really good reasons to consider this hotel, and a couple of reasons you might either consider one of the […] larger rooms or another hotel altogether. On the plus side, the hotel is in what I consider a great location. It's just off Nathan Rd., where there is a whole world of shops and restaurants, and it's very close to the Mong Kok MTR station when you want to "hit the road." The staff was very accomodating, and it seemed like a safe place to stay, requiring use of the room key to access the elevators. My room, and the hotel in general were clean, if a bit worn. Really no issues there. Mattress was in good shape and comfortably firm, which is a big plus for me. On the downside, the dimensions of the room MUST include the bath #water closet). The room was a couple of inches longer than the single bed and roughly the same width. There was no night stand or table. The only "furniture" was a valet that would hold about four hanging items and a shelf space on top just big enough to place my computer and some toiletries. My clothes remained piled on my pack on the floor for my entire stay. It is TINY. The bathroom had just enough room to turn around in and is truly a water closet. The staff was friendly, though they do not speak English that well; I had to draw a picture of what was wrong with my room in order for one of the receptionists to understand. The location is great; close to the Mongkok MTR station. The only things I did not like about the place is 1)the wifi was spotting depending on which floor you were on. I was originally on 8, and it was fine. But when I moved to 6, I had to use the 5th floor wifi and the 7F wifi was spotty as well. 2) on 6F, whenever someone used the bathroom upstairs, I could hear the pipes. 3) The other guests were too loud at some points, but the front desk was of no help because they didn't understand what I was trying to say. Also, the staff that was in charge of cleaning the rooms would often leave their walkie-talkies on early in the morning (around 7 am) so I could hear the loud conversation going on. I originally wanted to stay for 4 nights, but only stayed for 2 because my flight was canceled due to the tyhpoon. I sent e-mails and called the hotel notifying them I was not going to be able to make it. When I got to the hotel, they said they were going to charge me for all 4 nights anyway, because they held the room which I did not tell them to do. […] I asked to speak to the manager, and they wouldn't even let me! They then proceeded to gossip about me in Chinese, not knowing I could understand. Aside from this level of rudeness, the hotel itself is not even worth it. I have lived in mainland China, and even I can say that this hotel is SMALL. You cannot even put your luggage through the door - It's literally a cave. The only good thing about this hotel is the location, period. Other than that, there is absolutely nothing good about it. As other travellers have noted, rooms in this "hotel" is the smallest I've ever seen. I thought I was prepared, but it's still surprising how small it is. Location is great. Price is right. I would say accomodation met expectation. On the other hand, I have an excellent experience with the management and staff. I had problem with the wireless network […] on the day I check in. Next thing I know, they put their IT guys to work for an hour. Reseting router and changing setting to accomodate my very old laptop. When all else failed, their manager jump in and tried a few other tricks. In the end, they move me to a different floor where another router is compatible with my laptop. When I booked this room I was not expecting very much since I was just between airplanes. It was, as described elsewhere, " the world's smallest hotel room". All of the exposed plumbing in the bath/closet was a turn off as was the sound of cascading sewage each time someone up above flushed their toilet. The room is about one foot longer than a fairly […] hard twin bed and about four feet wider at the head end of the bed including the small alcove that allows the door to open. The drunks slamming doors were a put-off at midnight and the total lack of internet service was NOT as advertised even after several trips down to the front desk where a nice young man attempted to assist me but finally admitted that it only worked in the lobby and only had a very small bandwidth that could accommodate only a few guests at once. the room was clean except where they had painted over the dust bunnies on the cast iron sewer drains in the bath and under the back of the bed. I won't be back. All said and done the total lack of internet service was the deciding factor for me. When I checked out I commented that they did not have any internet service in the rooms and to say otherwise is false advertising. No one cared. So, next time I will go elsewhere. Read more

This place was awful when it was Tatami & is still awful as the MK. RECEPTION: No internal access to the elevators, you have to go outside. ROOM: walls cracked, exposed conduit, unfinished concrete, poor paint job, total of 5.5x5.5-ft of space to stand or put suitcases in the room. Windows do not seal and let in lots of noise. Bed was comfortable, sheets […] & room generally clean. BATHROOM: was only 2.5-ft wide, many mildew stains, not completely painted, paint was flaking off, exposed piping, exposed conduit. Sink had no hot water, was small and on a deteriorating wood stand. The whole room served as the shower stall. FREE INTERNET never worked in the room or in the lobby. This hotel is located at a very convenience location and room is clean and ppl are friendly and helpful. But the room was really very small from the door to the bed takes less than 3 steps. Toilet shower head very noisy and water temp up and down fast. Toilet bowl position very squeeze. But overall still good and nice to stay in.

Very good location and very close walking distance to airport coach that goes to the airport, as well as MTR that connect to all part of HK. Room is tiny but it's ok. The only downside is the toilet and the smell that come out from the drain. Have to keep the toilet door close all time.

The bed is right AT THE DOOR. There was a 5 inch deep cubboard ON the wall, which serves as your table, closet, desk, and your night stand. There is no other furniture in the room, total about 80 sf, as there is no space. The bathroom has a corner which is where you shower, with a curtain to keep the water from shedding onto rest of the bathroom. However […] shower water WILL flow freely all across the bathroom till it drains into a hole on the floor. The bathroom sink is a 1 foot diameter tiny one with no place whatsoever on the side. You put your glasses, etc, on the towel shelf behind the towels. Since the bed is directly stuffed against the wall on one side, you rub against the wall when you sleep. Forget about cleaniness. The hotel is located right in the middle of the red light area in Mongkok, with plenty of "business people" right in front of your hotel entrance, which, interestingly enough, is outside the lobby (since there is no space in the lobby), direct from a "park" which is crowded with quite scary characters. The staff tried very hard to do their job, but are obviously poorly trained. We stood at the reception when checking out, waiting for them to "check the room" for a good 20 minutes, and heard the walkie talkie ourselves sayng the check is over. Yet the staff paid no attention and kept on doing something else, which we thought was some sort of paperwork. Turned out, she was just paying attention. So if you want a normal hotel, avoid this one at all cost. Read more

The room is very small. Its not convenient. Its far from MTR. I stayed for 5 nights. I hanged the clean room up sign everyday, I think bedsheet was not replaced. No hair dryer. No fridge.
