The room was fine. Not much contact with staff so no complaints. However when we found nails sticking up from the carpet from a small separation of carpet and the bathroom, I notified the front desk and was promised it would be taken care of our second morning. make sure you lock both locks on door because houskeeping will just walk in on you and they come early. Make sure you check your sheets they dont always put sheets on the bed

be careful, the hotel has 3 buildings the first room they put me in was old, the wallpaper and furniture from the 70s, went back to office, started to cancel reservations and kiss my money good by, thats how bad it was, the manager said i could upgrade to the new remolded building for another 200.00 so ended up paying 500 for 4 nights, staff freindly […] but will not stay here again. Very small bathroom only heated jet tubs in few rooms but web site said all rooms that's not true false advertising. Inadequate parking. Untrained staff. Dirty sheets. Noisy "partying" kids in hall most of the night banging on doors to awake the unfortunate. Air conditioning provided a wealth of comfort issues proving extreme irritation to my wife's allergies. Arrived back at the hotel the last night to find all parking taped off with no regard for a place for us. […] Hotel charges a small deposit on keys, but when you go to check out (8:30am), no one is in the office, so kiss your deposit good-bye. In October at Myrtle Beach there are plenty of rooms available. We were placed at the end room which normally would have been a fantastic spot and we had the whole tower to ourselves (expect for 2 rooms). However, the hotel decided to dispose of the "greenhouse" swimming pool right outside our room from 6 am until 6 pm every day we were there making […] quiet time virtually impossible. NO HAIR DRYERS! If you want to rent one for $20, you can at the front office. Please! Do I really need to steal a hair dryer??? I could have taken the coffee pot or the nice iron. Women need hair dryers! Room was supposed to include a jetted tub. NO JETTED TUB! Hotel was clean but very dated. Several swimming pools and jacuzzis outside were nice and well kept. Maids and maintenance were very friendly and helpful. Can't say much for office staff. Hotel was very convenient to area attractions and right on the beach. Doubt I will be sharing my time with this hotel again unless there is absolutely no where else to stay. For the price, this hotel is better than some others but definitely not top rate. Read more

The hotel was right on the beach and close to shopping and restaurants. The hotel was really close to the major highway so access to everything was convenient. We walked everywhere while we were there and because we went in the off-season, parking right in front of the building was free. The decor and kitchen was dated but it was totally functioning […] - which allowed us to eat in a couple times to save some money. Overall, it was an unbelievable deal considering we had 2 beds, a good size bathroom, full kitchen (with stove and everything!) and an ocean view - if we plan another trip there, we will probably stay at the Boardwalk! The room was clean when we arrived, but during our stay the maid didn't change the sheets or sweep the floor--my boys got sand in the bathroom floor the very first day we stayed there and it was still there the day we checked out-three days later. The carpet really looked bad and I was afraid to walk on […] it barefoot. Staff, cleaning crew, maintenance were all very nice and accomodating. Outside appearance of hotel was nice and they offer 7 pools both indoor and outdoor. There is also a nice area of tables and lounge chairs between the hotel complex and the beach. Easy access to a beautiful beach. We had a problem with our air conditioner. After one call to the desk […] a friendly maintenance person immediately solved the problem. Our only complaint is that the interior of the buildings are kind of run down. For example, the elevators are showing signs of age, the hallway carpeting was worn in places, the faucets dripped. Just overall in need of repair or upgrade. Also, there was this strange smell in the hallway and elevators. maybe some kins of industrial cleaner used. Not pleasant. But the room did not have the smell. The staff cleaned the rooms and pools every day and the view from the balcony was very nice. Overall an okay place to stay. Just don't expect it to be ultra modern or up to date. Great bargain hotel if looking for ocean front bargain. However, noisy and they let anyone stay there (young high school age, college age). Also, not all the pools were functioning. Indoor jacuzzi in main building had way too much chlorine; as soon as you got in it eyes were tearing--could barely sit on edge. Jacuzzi in other larger indoor area drained. […] Pool and jacuzzi in 4th building not in use at all. Outdoor jacuzzi was too full of drinkers and smokers. I wanted something on the beach and this hotel fit the bill. The room was clean enough and we could smell the fresh paint. The key did not open the door initially, but the maintenance staff was eager to remedy my problem by changing the whole lock.

The bed was terrible. Very uncomfortable. My husband and I both kept rolling to the middle of the bed. Plus there was an angle iron extended out from both sides of the bed. We didn't say anything to the people at the front desk because they were not very friendly when we checked in. Plus we were charged an additional $5 a day (total $25) for a fee they […] claimed was for the City of Myrtle Beach because we booked on line. We will never stay here again!!!!! South tower was dirty and outdated. Found ants in the bathroom and the room smelled bad. Had to sleep with the patio door open to get fresh air. Security was nowhere to be found when there were other "guests" that were up all night and yelling in the hallways. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Stay away

We were put in the north tower. Very old, out dated and dirty! We felt like we were in a dungeon from the 60's. Don't let them put you in that tower. Insist on the newer one. Maybe its better. Old shut down inn across the street also and a lot of a activity there that wasn't very pleasant and we didn't feel safe.
