"Awesome hotel room!"
The hotel was great! My only gripe was how they try to get you to sit down and sell you a "time share" thing. I didn't bother with the sales pitch, but after I said no the first time they had me think it over, and calling my room until I answered and told them no again. Nevertheless, I would stay again if I have the opportunity.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The hotel was in a perfect location to Loon MT., snowmobiling tours, good restaurants and the Ice Castles at Loon MT. The hotel was clean, the rooms were spacious and the staff was very friendly. We also enjoyed the indoor pool and Jacuzzi.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Everything was fine, just the noise of construction"
We stayed only for one night. Everything was fine:room was clean, newly renovated, kitchen was nice, temperature was good, not so cold and not so hot, just perfect. However, the room was just beside the construction site and we were awaked by about 7 am. So if you plan to stay there recently, be sure to request a room not near the construction site. […] We did not, as we only stayed for one night and we thought they would not start working till 8 am, though we noticed that upon entering the room. Anyway, if not for the noise, I would rate it five-star. By the way, the location of the hotel was also convenient. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Excellent stay and service!"
Great place to stay in a quaint New England town. Right in the center of town with everything you need close by. The staff was wonderful. I was walking out the front door on a 16 degree day with no coat (chasing one of my children!) and the woman at the front desk told me to grab a coat. I've been traveling weekly for 10 years and have never had a hotel […] employee care enough to say something like that. My children were greeted with a warm smile by every employee as well. "Great location and indoor space"
Great location! My family and I travel to White Mountains every January and stay at this hotel. We always snowmobile on one day, and ski Loon on the next.(the hotel provides a free shuttle to Loon which is literally 5minutes away). I would definitely recommend, and will be returning next year. I enjoy the indoor pool and jacuzzi as well at the spacious […] room. We always stay in the King Suit. We take advantage of the full kitchen by cooking great meals and enjoying some family time. "Good for a family getaway..."
I reserved a room for 4 (2 adults 2 children) thru Expedia. The confirmation came back that the room was a king with 4 people staying, I assumed there would be a sleep sofa for the kids. When we arrived they said the king room didn't have a sleep sofa - would we mind being upgraded. Of course not, we're just lucky they had space for us as it was a holiday […] weekend. Our upgrade was to a one-bedroom suite - very large, very nice. So no complaints....indoor hot tub is cool also. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Last minute perfection"
We booked a Superior King room at South Mountain Resort through hotels.com and checked in late at night for a 2 night stay. They upgraded us to a Luxury King room without really telling us. We found out when we checked out and asked about the room being so big and having a kitchenette, second bathroom and whirlpool tub in the bedroom. The room felt […] brand new and clean. Every aspect, besides the TVs (older, tube style), was flawless. The front desk called the next day to see if everything was to our liking. We were hiking and had a fair amount of gear, so the larger room with kitchenette was very helpful. We liked it so much, we will probably go back and stay there again. Only regret was that we didn't get to use the whirlpool tub or the hotel pool/jacuzzi. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Plush hotel in beautiful location"
This was hotel #3 (out of 5) on our trip round New England. It probably ranked at the plushest hotel , though – what we didn’t realise when we booked – was that it was a timeshare hotel . The room was lovely and large, with a little dining table as this hotel did not offer breakfast. When we arrived the room was cold but a maintenance man came quickly […] to fix this – in fact it was too hot when we woke up the next morning. We used the free laundry (great facility!). There was a shopping mall attached to the hotel, but this either had restaurants closed for the season or empty shops. A little further away, there was a supermarket, from where we bought breakfast goods. We found eating out in Lincoln more expensive than where we’d been previously, but the scenery round and about was beautiful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very pleasant stay"
Our very large one bedroomed appartment was brand new. It was fully equipped including blender and dishwasher. Free use of laundry facilities were available down the hall. Service was friendly. Yes they did try to get us to attend a presentation for which they would pay us $150 which wax tempting. But we were no longer pressured after we told them that […] we did not want to attend, as we would not be interested in investing in ownership or timeshare and that we were there to enjoy our holiday and relax. The concierge gave us a very good handout about the local beauty spots and restaurants. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Lovely hotel with good facilities"
Great hotel with huge rooms, good facilites and a fantastic location - just a 5 minute drive from Loon Mountain. We had a lovely stay there. My only complaint would be that they advertise the facilities as having a sauna, however, when we got there, it appeared that the sauna had been removed from the female changing rooms, which after a cold day on […] the slopes, was a bit disappointing. A Timeshare complex, but offering superb accommodation as a Hotel, with excellent amenities. Rooms are huge, with fully fitted kitchen, lounge area, spa bath and large shower cubicle. Plenty of off site food establishments and a supermarket. Quiet in early October. Scenery around the area is stunning.

hotel itself is fine, decent location. rooms being renovated. DO NOT buy into timeshare. This is the first negative review I have ever written, wish I had read into this more before we fell for the full of lies salespitch. Not worth the discount we received. If you are going, using it soley as a hotel I think it is fine for that.

We exchanged our November timeshare week that we had in Vermont for this unit in New Hampshire in September through DAE (Dial An Exchange). To our surprise the Scottish Highland Games in close-by Loon Mountain were scheduled the weekend we checked in- something that has always been on my bucket list so I was thrilled! There were shuttle buses that picked us up right at the resort to take us to the games. The resort is central to everything and, in fact, right off the main road (the Kanc- a gorgeous scenic byway that is a must do also) in Lincoln which makes it convenient to shopping and restaurants and a movie theater and playhouse. And because Lincoln is right off Route 93, it makes it easy to visit the many White Mountain attractions, including Franconia Notch, The Cog Railway to the summit of Mount Washington, Lost River and Boulder Gorge, The Robert Frost Homestead in Sugar Hill and the village of Littleton, and even down to Lake Winnipesaukee for a cruise in the MS/Mt. Washington (just an hour away), etc. Now to the resort review. Check- in was easy. Of course, there was the ol' "The concierge has your parking pass and welcome packet" trick, meaning the concierge is really a timeshare salesperson using the parking pass as a lure..Surprisingly, I was told that they were "backed up" and we could get our parking pass later on. I only saw a couple of people at the desk, so I didn't get it, but I had checked in without my husband so I thought maybe that is why he brushed us aside. (they like to speak to both spouses). He did come by our unit later on with the parking pass and no welcome packet and told my husband about the opportunity to meet with him for information about the area if we were interested. We declined and never heard from the concierge again. They do have wheeled valets and elevators so you can bring your luggage and other supplies easily into your unit. The staff was friendly enough. The resort was clean and inviting. Our unit was #217 which is actually level with the front entrance/lobby. We had a one bedroom with 2 bathrooms which was great. We found it nice and quiet for sleeping, but there were no kids at the resort as it is off season, so we didn't hear any trampling around above us or anything like that. Kitchen was decent, although for a unit that is supposed to sleep 4 there should really be more than 4 dishes, cups, etc. After all, if 4 people use them once, you would have to run the dishwasher every day! And, you would need more than 3 packets of dishwasher detergent. This made me nuts and we were only 2-3 people at any given time. Plus, you have to run the dishwasher when it is nowhere near full, which is a waste of energy and water. We ate all our breakfasts in and a few lunches and dinners. I am glad we brought our own tea kettle as there was none in the unit. There was a drip coffee pot. I liked that the pans were non stick. Another thing is I had to call for an extra dishtowel as they only give you one towel! I also called for more toilet paper. What is it with resorts that they are so stingy with the toilet paper??!! Staff came right over with two dishtowels and ONE ROLL of Toilet Paper. Gee, can you spare it?! They do supply dish washing liquid, paper towels, sponge, lots of tissues (which I needed as I got a cold while up there), shampoo, soap, body lotions, etc. various sundries like microwave popcorn, salt and pepper, some coffee, powdered lemon drink mix, etc. Our king bed was comfortable (the pillows not so much). There was a whirlpool tub in our bedroom which I used once, but when my husband used it the one and only time the breaker kept shutting off the jets so he couldn't use the whirlpool feature. This was the night before we left, so I brought it to the attention of the staff when we checked out. The living room furniture left a lot to be desired. It was older and very uncomfortable. The worse part was that the pull out couch bed was unusable. Our son, who lives in New Hampshire, had made plans to visit us there and stay over. After one night on that paper thin mattress he decided he had to go home to sleep and return the next day. Also, the extra bedding (sheets, etc.) were not the correct size for the pull-out. They were for a large size bed like a KING- so they didn't fit right. This always annoys me about some timeshares- including our own- that they say the unit sleeps 4 when literally there is no way another 2 people could sleep on such a terrible mattress. We were disappointed with this to say the least. Not to mention the small couch and chair were very uncomfortable for reading or watching TV. The fireplace is for ambiance only. It is an electric one that comes on with the flick of a switch, but it has no heat. It is just a small fake flame to give the impression that a fire is glowing. Pretty lame. It would have been nice to have an actual gas fireplace with some heat on a few of the days when it was cold, although the unit was very warm, it is just a different "feel' when you have a real heated fireplace going. There is a big screen TV in the unit which was very nice and also a TV in the bedroom, which we didn't really use as we do not watch TV in bed. My husband wanted to watch it while in the whirlpool, but, as I mentioned, the whirlpool wasn't working. The unit was very warm- too warm for me- we couldn't get the thermostat to work right. The temperature seemed to stay in the mid- seventies and we actually like it in the high 60's so we kept opening the windows and doors. I found it to be a bit stuffy with the windows and doors closed. Our home resort can be like this, too. I think it is because they are airtight since they were essentially built as ski resorts for winter use. Also, we had a great balcony that ran the length of the unit and overlooked the pool and mountain area, with a pretty tree in front for privacy. The outdoor furniture was very comfortable, including a chaise lounge and 2 other chairs, as well as a bistro table and chair stools, with an outside plug in case you want to use you laptop or whatever. There is construction going on during the week right around the corner (I think maybe the resort is expanding or something) so it does get noisy, but- hey- expansion is a good thing for the economy. When we got there the outside pool and hot tub were open and I used both. I love a heated outdoor pool in cool weather. The hot tub was not very hot at all, however, and on one side the jets weren't working. Unfortunately, they drained the pool and hot tub after a few days. I wish the resorts would keep these outdoor pools open through Columbus Day. It was going to be in the 80's the weekend we left and I am sure some people might have appreciated an outdoor pool to use. I am spoiled because the resort we own at in Vermont keeps our outdoor heated pool open year round. We can swim as it snows! I do not like most indoor pools. South Mountain does have a very nice indoor heated pool and hot tub with a waterfall. I didn't use either. The hot tub wasn't that hot as far as I could tell by placing my hands in the water to test it. There is also a real nice small gym with big modern equipment. They have a public computer and free coffee/tea for guests. There is a free use washer/dryer on the top floor, which we used once. Another guest had to wait for use to finish our laundry. I think they should at least have one on every floor. Again, we are spoiled as we have a washer/dryer right in our unit that we own in Vermont. Plenty of convenient parking in the off-season. Overall we were very pleased with our stay at South Mountain and we would stay here again without hesitation. We have stayed and will be staying again for the holidays at what used to be her sister resort- Pollard Brook-right up the road-and they are both very similar. Pollard Brook is an Innseason resort and South Mountain has been taken over by Blue Green resorts. I do highly recommend this resort.
"A Good Choice"
09/06/14 Ann C Bridgend, United Kingdom
We stayed here for 4 nights. We didn't realise that this was more a timeshare than a hotel but it wasn't a problem. The facilities were excellent, with a well equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed, a large balcony overlooking the pool. The staff were very helpful. There are indoor and outdoor pools with hot tubs. The hotel is situated on the main road and is close to all facilities. It made for a very relaxing stay.

We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. The room was very clean; the master bed was comfortable. The sofa bed was not so comfortable. There are two pools, I used the outdoor pool which was heated. I liked that!!! We had access to the internet in an area that was not over crowded with people. My husband and I would return to this resort.
"Best Resort stay we have ever had"

The resort was undergoing growth and they were working everyday but the staff did not miss a beat . We had a great time and the most relaxing stay in many years . My wife kind of just threw a dart at a map and picked this as one of our monthly stays . I said "sure why not" . Boy was I glad she randomly picked our stay . So good was our stay that we are looking at staying again in the spring . Cant wait ! But we will . Rooms - great ! Pools - great ! Staff - great ! Beds -GREAT !!! Clean , quiet and comfortable . What more can you ask for .
We stayed for sommer vacation With the children. Super place for family, 2 spas, 2 pools, clean hôtel. The rooms are clean and very spacious! The service was also #1 the only concern: they coule hâve smaller pillows in the beds. Contrats!
"Fabulous 4 generation family vacation"
07/19/14 BubblesLaRu West Islip, New York
As gold bluegreen owners, we booked 3 units to include great grand mother GiGi, my son and his wife and 2 babies and then 1 for my husband and I . We vacation together often and have found that a healthy mixture of togetherness and privacy keeps everyone asking for more family vacations. Bluegreen provides us with the perfect spots! South mt. Resort is a wonderful place, with the best staff bluegreen has to offer. We asked to be poolside, 1 st floor so we were close to one another and so that it was easier with the senior and little ones, they accommodated us. Two of our rooms were on the 1st floor with large patio's, overlooking the pool with plenty of grassy area for little ones to run around. We BBQ, relaxed, played in both pools as well as the hot tub, used the game room and enjoyed many outdoor adventures in the Mountains. There is so much to do in this area that satisfies all ages and abilities. Our unit was a large 1 bedroom with a jacuzzi tub in the bedroom and 2 baths. The unit is in need of an upgrade. My son's unit was the same size yet it didn't have an oven. We more than made due! The children had a blast and so did 3 generations of adults. We met great people from all over the country hanging by the pool. I can' wait to come back again next summer. Also, the views of the mountains from your patio or the pool/ picnic area is spectacular. And you can walk to many awesome restaurants and food store!
"Well Maintained Property, improving still"
03/24/14 Douglas L Wellesley, MA
BlueGreen took over the property from InnSeason (a regional vacation property developer) almost two years ago. Major renovation is going on, including a complete new building. The property as is is in great shape (the other time I stayed was almost ten years ago). The spacious KIng 1-BR unit I stayed in had a nice kitchen (JennAir range and convection oven!) but the sofa bed had a new mattress (full) too small for the frame (queen-size; management said that they are changing over to new leather sofabeds and the old sofa in the room needed a new mattress, hence the mismatch). Overall, the room is very nice. The free WIFI is superfast. While there is no food service on-site, Flapjack is right across the road for great breakfasts. The only issue was that sound-insulation for the floor/ceiling needs improvement - we received a call from front deck because some guest below us complained about noises (probably from my kids running around our room - not excessively). Management again said work was on the way to improve sound insulation. One BIG improvement to come: a resort-guest-only ski lift that will access Loon Mountain's expanding South Peak (in 2 years?) right next to the hotel (which is about 5 minutes to Loon Mountain's main lodge). Stay tuned!! One thing i do miss is the free shuttle service to Loon Mountain (which they used to have). Regardless, I think Blue Green Resorts is doing a great job improving the property.
