"Rivergreen Resort: unexpected resort fee"
The resort has a great location, probably the best in the area: it's off the highway, but close to everything. It's quiet. We had a hotel room -no complains about it, average room. The jacuzzi was way too noisy, could not use it. We did not see any "family barbeque area" advertized on their site. Comparing to the other hotels we recently stayed: Coffee […] in the hotel was available only in the morning, and there were only 2 packages in the room, no decaf, no tea. They don't do daily housekeeping, so I guess you'd have to ask for more if you stayed longer than 2 days. BE AWARE: they charge a resort fee of $20 which WAS NOT in the confirmation email from hotels.com. I had the email printed, but the clerk insisted that the email should have a fine print and for some reason showed me one from expedia saying that it is all the same. I still don't understand why I had to look at a sample email from a site where I had NOT booked instead of mine... Obviously because you don't have a choice at that moment. The exterior was clean and attractive. The front desk attendant was pleasant and friendly. She had a little trouble finding my reservation but other than that all went well. The room was clean and attractive. I would definately stay here again. She recommended the Common Man Restaurant for dinner and the food was excellent.Genuine Expedia guest review

"A good stay"
The room was very peasant..big with a kitchen area and lounge with a bed that came down from being stored in the wall. Only negative was the ridiculous resort fee!Genuine Expedia guest review

Mooie kamer met jacuzzi. Er is naast het hotel een recreatieruimte met zwembad, poolbiljart en zeer grote, ruime loungehoek. Heel erg leuk!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Sehr schönes Hotel kann man immer wieder hinfahren"
Sehr angenehm. Schön. Putzfrau kommt wohl nur alle zwei Tage. Wußten wir nicht. Ist aber ok. Mußten noch 44,80$ zahlen. War uns so nicht bewußt. Ist wohl Steuer (10%) und Hotelzuschlag (9%) gewesen. Unnötige Kosten. Stand im Kleingedruckten. Trotzdem alles in Ordnung. 45 min zum White Mountain.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Experience! Five stars :D"

My wife an I returned to this wonderful hotel for our second honeymoon. I highly recommend the "Two-Level One Bedroom Condo Suite". It has a full kitchen, living room (with small deck overlooking the mountains), a master bath with 2 person Jacuzzi (with views of the mountains) and a king bed. The rooms were very clean and very homey (all units are owned by individuals and rented out by a management company). The staff is very friendly and courteous and will go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable (they did for us). The location in downtown Lincoln means your close to plenty of great restaurants, attractions and amazing scenery. The views are simply amazing and you're right at the south base of Loon Mountain. The only con (if you want to call it that), is that these are condos, so amenities like daily room cleaning (it can be done daily but for an additional fee) and food service are not included. That being said, that wasn't an issue for us as we didn't need room everyday and since we have a fridge and stove, we either stored leftovers for eating out or cooked our own meals. Overall, my wife and I had an amazing time, and highly recommend staying at the Rivergreen Resort. We will be staying here again.
"Great place to stay"

We love going to Rivergreen when we are in Loon Mountain skiing or hiking in the summer. There is so much to do in the area. We like how the pool is connected to the hotel so we don't have to leave the building, which is nice. There is always coffee in the morning and the staff is really nice. We also like to get food from Price Chopper Next door (walking distance) and barbeque out back. There is also a nice screened in area to sit and eat in. It's nice that it's in town to walk to the river or shops and restaurants. Whales Tales Water Park and Clarks and Loon Mountain are all right down the street and so much fun!
"Family ski weekend"

We stayed in a two story one bedroom condo from a Friday-Sunday so that we could ski at Loon Mountain with our two young children. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating all weekend. Our room was spotless and the linens were all fresh, clean, and new. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were new and a good quality. The shuttle to Loon was convenient, timely and reliable. The resort is a very short distance from the mountain. The pool and hot tub were clean and fun for apres ski.
"Cozy condo- perfect ski vacation getaway"
03/17/14 Jkramer21 Portsmouth, New Hampshire
The two of us came up for a midweek stay and ski trip. The condo was clean and cozy. It was a great balance between feeling like a getaway and feeling homey. Since it was midweek, we didn't experience the rowdiness of other reviews. The kitchen was a great size with everything we needed for preparing meals an cleaning up. The condo had two TVs, which was nice for relaxing downstairs and also watching a movie before bed. The location was perfect. We skied from the main lodge at Loon, which was only minutes away, and we could have been even closer if we set off from the south peak. The hotel was central to stores and it was very easy to find. The pool/ hot tub area was nice, and we really liked the Great Room. We would definitely come again and request the same room. Overall it was a great stay.
"We had a great time!"

We are a family of four and this was the perfect place for us to stay for a ski vacation. It was clean and had all the amenities to make our trip relaxing and comfortable. We had a full kitchen that allowed us to pack warm meals for the ski lodge and the hotel had a wonderful pool and jacuzzi which provided the perfect way to relax at the end of the day. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great-- near restaurants, boutiques, and cafes.

We rented a "Standard hotel Room". It was a week end trip for 3, so a room with 2 full size beds seamed like a good idea and was cheaper them in other places. But I have to say I have not seen a more plainer room than that one! Beds were... that what they were: just matrasses with no head boards. Did have bed spreads (Great!). There was a dresser in the room with TV on it and that was it.... White walls with no pictures on them, nothing to put a spot on the white! Creepy!!! But the room was more or less clean. I have to say that we had stayed at this resort before, many years ago, and it seamed nicer then! Or may be we had different standards...
"Perfect for our Family"
02/24/14 coolrunnings New Hampshie
We have stayed here twice now. We are a family of 4, with 2 children 3 and 6. The kids had their own room with 2 beds and a bathroom with a huge jacuzzi tub (no problems with baths here) Great TV with DVD player and Cable. There is a door that connects to our room, which has its own bathroom with a neve3r run out of hot water shower, a full kitchen with dishwasher, stove/oven, micro, coffee maker, all the pots. pans, dishes, glasses, wine openers, knives etc etc etc. Even a balcony through the slider with a mountain view......It was super relaxing, just like at home, EXCEPT, Loon Mtn is right around the corner. Can you say SWEETTIME?? It is right off of the South Mountain Peak side of Loon, right near the center of town with a large grocery store a par 4 away (400 yards), as well as a bunch of restraunts, ski shops and stores. Even a little mall like place with a bunch of shops all within walking distance. Our Bed was a Queen, super comfortable. Both rooms were very clean, up to date, and stocked with books, dvds, and a great information folder. The bus to Loon Mtn even picks you up right out front, skis and all your gear. It drops you off there too, even after a bunch of brews in the Bunyan Room. This place has an amazing great room with a brand new pool table, a huge TV, Fireplace, open kitchen, many tables and chairs, and a slew of overstuffed couches. Free coffee every morning in the great room. You can even watch other guests swim in the pool, yup, there is also a huge heated indoor pool and hottub! Did I forget the gameroom? yup, pinball, a sit in and drive race car game, plus a bunch others. The front desk staff were very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. You get your towels for the pool from them too. We were there during school vacation week and the place was packed with families, and though there were a lot of kids running and screaming about, in our room it was very quiet and solid. We will always stay here at Rivergreen. There is no need to go anywhere else.
"Great location, but could be so much better"
02/03/14 on_cape CapeCod
We've stayed here several times, and the location is terrific. However, if you are unlucky enough to be here during a weekend that one of the "party buses" rolls into the place, don't expect a quiet nights sleep. How this place allows bus loads of teen age kids to come there and rage throughout the night is beside me, we have seen it firsthand on several occasions and it sucks if you happen to be there during one of these times. There is no one at the front desk after 10 pm, so it is a free for all in the hallways on the balconies and in the rooms. Too bad the owners can't get together and do something about this, it really limits who will stay there.

This was my famiy's first time at Rivergreen, and we have stayed all over the area of Loon Mountain. There was nothing else available, so we booked. We showed up early Saturday morning, so our 3 boys could ski. My middle son was not feeling well, so we took a chance to check the Resort to see if our room was available. The woman at the front desk said she would call us when it was. Now I read other reviews, and thought, she will call us at 4pm. She called us 20 minutes later, and we checked in at 11a.m. Needless to say, with a sick child we were pleased. We rented a 1 bedroom condo which has the Murphy bed in the living room. Plenty of room for a family of 5. My oldest enjoyed the jacuzzi bath tub, the pool, and great room. The shuttle comes right to the front door. We have never been to the bottom of South Peak, and were thrilled to find that if you drive the back road a half mile you can park or pick up skiers. We will definitely stay here again. location, location, location and the room was spotless!
"Hotel or Condo - it doesn't know what it wants to be, room was dirty"
12/30/13 MM_from_MA Boston, Massachusetts
The condos are owned by individual owners, but visitors can stay like a hotel. Since their individually owned, they're have all different features. We rented a room, not the condo, which was cramped for a family of 4. The queen beds were not firm, they sagged in the middle. There were 2 pillows per bed, so reading or watching TV was not comfortable. The housekeeping was terrible, since there was dirty linen left over and the floor wasn't clean. The bathroom, was big, but the lighting was poor so the shower was dark. The water pressure was the only nice feature of the whole place. The location is very convenient near Loon's South Peak.
