We both felt the hotel was very well positioned to get about Marrakech, unfortunately the hotel was rather tired looking. The best part of the hotel was the coffee bar with excellent service. You do need to be able to converse a little in French as we struggled with just being able to speak English but the staff are very helpful well most of them. The Atlas mountains are a must see part of the region.

The service there was horrible. When I arrived the bed spread was dirty, I called for housekeeping to change it they took it, but never brought a new one back. The Tv and the AC did not have a remote control to operate them, when I calle the receptionist I was told that he was very busy and could not help me, I waited for approximately 3 hrs to get these items.

Hard to find the hotel, there are 5 Ryad Mogador, poor customer service, old rooms, smelly hallways and rooms, no TV remote, no AC remote (when asked about them I was told they will look for them, no answer till the evening, when asked again said could not find them; I was to tired to argue, but unacceptable service), no map of the area at the hotel.

Reviewed by Jean of Dallas on Mar 15, 2008
This is a large, very busy hotel, but it was hard for us to find because the signs on the outside are confusing. We passed it three times before someone in a gas station nearby pointed to the building and said that is it. They need a neon sign that says "Ryad Mogador Marrakesh" instead of a sign that says "D.M." Also, there were a lot of neon signs on the building in different colors that did not indicate it was a hotel. The room was clean, and the fixtures in the bathroom were new. The beds were okay. They were small twin beds, squeaky, and only one small pillow. We had asked for a king-sized bed, I think, The hot water in the shower was only a trickle but there was plenty of cold water. Nice breakfast. Lovely view from the small terrace on the outside of our room. Parking for our rental car was off the street, protected, and free. For the price we paid, we were very satisfied. We would stay there again. A friend traveled with us, and she did not have a reservation, but they accommodated her anyway, and I think she paid more for her room than we did, because she raved about her room and the view (she had a street view). She had no problems with her hot water supply, and she had a very comfortable king-sized bed. The only thing I hated was the smell in the halls. It was a musty, old, rather rank odor, but fortunately, the odor was not present in the room. The room smelled clean. I think it must be the carpet in the halls. They should pull it out of there, or use Febreze.
