The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was great. The complimentary breakfast had a great assortment of cheeses, meats, fruit, cereal, and croissants and bread. . It is across the street from the lake so the view is pretty from the rooms.

My wife and I travelled to Lugano for a business meeting that I had and we chose this hotel so that she could enjoy the city while I attended meetings. Everything is well within walking distance of this hotel, while they also have nearby parking as we had a car. Our room fronted the lake and we also enjoyed the view from the breakfast room the following morning. It is an older hotel with character and an efficient staff. We would stay here again.

This hotel is fantastic. The views are amazing! The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable and the staff is pretty fantastic. It is however, up a very steep hill and walking to town is not really an option. Taxi's are very expensive to and from the hotel, but the surrounding towns are worth it. Find another place to eat in town. The restaurant in the hotel was a terrible experience. Crunchy risotto and pasta, raw veal and chicken and the bartender did not understand that rum is not tequila. The bar itself leaves much to be desired. We were charged full price for the horrible dinner, and the negotiation about reducing the charges for a REALLY BAD dining experience, was very difficult. The manager was really not willing to reduce the bill as much as I would have liked to see for the horrible food. Avoid this issue by eating elsewhere and the rest of your experience will be lovely.

There is little that cannot be said of this hotel. The location and grounds are gorgeous; the main villa is beyond beautiful; the service was outstanding from check-in to check-out. My fiancee and I traveled to to this hotel during the off-period right before New Year's. We were put into a suite in the main building. The room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The mini-bar was complimentary and replenished daily. The service throughout the complex was excellent. Perhaps the nicest surprise of our stay was the spa. Built underneath the main building, the spa featured a large pool with a number of fun features. The four treatment rooms, modeled after Earth, Air, Wind, and Fire, were a great place to have a couple's massage. This hotel is a wonderful getaway for a romantic trip to a truly gorgeous location.

Nice hotel. No AC in the bedroom though and for the price you'd expect coffee and tea in your room. Also, we had a full kitchenette, but it was not equipped with anything. Only 1 English channel available.

The internet service is by the hour and very expensive for todays standards. The hotel is 15 minute walk to the City Center and taxi's are very expensive. $27 each way from hotel to City Center.

Villa Sassa is an old and tired property. The cost is extortionate for what you get in return - 1980's hotel rooms and service that is severely lacking. I guess it is typical of Switzerland but it lags what you find in the rest of the world.

My husband and myself really enjoyed our stay at Villa Sassa,they have an amazing infinity pool overlooking the lake which we liked. We had a pre-dinner drink in their outside bar,which came with lots of snacks . we wanted to dine outside so the restaurant manager arranged a table for us, with the view! It was like having your own private dinner. A bijzonder fraai hotel in een zeer fraaie omgeving, met de meren in de direct nabijheid. Hotel Crespi is een ideale uitvalsbasis om deze fraaie regio goed te kunnen verkennen. De medewerkers zijn bovendien zeer goed geinformeerd en bereidwillig. Hotel Crespi is niet geschikt voor gasten met kinderen. Verder top! In alle opzichten.

Salle et terrasse du buffet (varié) le matin surplombant […] la ville. Il n’est pas évident de se repérer dans les différents couloirs. Bien entretenu et très propre. Avant de prendre le forait du parking par nuit (CHF 15.-), comparez avec le tarif à l’heure qui sera meilleur marché si vous arrivez le soir et repartez le lendemain matin. I booked this with a special weekend offer. The quality of this hotel is much much more than expected. Spacious room. View overlooking Lugano. Comfortable bedding. Tasty food in restaurant with stunning view. Delicious and various choices of food for breakfast.

Der Empfang war sehr professionell und freundlich. Das Auto wurde auf den endgültigen Parkplatz gefahren. Das Zimmer wurde kostenlos upgegraded. Das Hotel ist weitläufig und man läuft relativ weit von Reception bis zum eigentlichen Hoteltrakt. Ist aber grundsätzlich kein Problem. An einem Morgen ist das Restaurant überbucht und wir müssen in der Bar […] frühstücken. SPA Bereich ist in sehr gutem Zustand. Essen und Service sind gut. Preise für die Dienstleistungen z.B. im Spa Bereich oder Essen Zimmerservice sind eher teuer. Alles in allem jedoch ein Hotel, welches ohne weiteres weiterzuempfehlen ist. Read more
