The Hampton Inn is a middle of the road hotel. For the money, it is an excellent choice. Each night comes with a free breakfast, which has cereal, fresh fruit, muffins, variety of breads, yogurt, juices, good coffee, tea and pancakes and/or eggs. Our room was very clean and comfortable and it had a microwave and fridge. This particular hotel was minutes to Syracuse University, downtown Syracuse and the large shopping mall. It was convenient to everything. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Decent hotel, but next time I'll stay elsewhere. I was told by hotels.com that our room would have a mini-fridge and microwave, which are necessary when traveling with our toddler. Our room had neither of these things. Not the hotel's fault, the onus lies with hotels.com!

The room was very reasonably priced and very clean. Upon our arrival the staff was very helpful in assisting us with area restaurants which were within... walking distance. Located within a block of the historic business district (everything in this region is historic!). We arrived late (this was a stop-over on our trip home), and asked the desk if there was any place to eat still open The clerk was very helpful. It turned out that there's a great little 24-hour vintage diner right in the business district. We drove and […] parked on the street, but we could have easily walked it. It is also a quick drive to the public park at the top of the lake, which has a swimming beach and facilities. Our room was small, but very efficient, clean and updated. Don't do anymore hotel research - this is by far the best hotel to stay when taking in an Auburn Doubledays baseball game. The rate is way too low for the quality. It reminds me of a Manhattan apartment - new, modern decor, super clean, small space, day bed(!) - with all the top amenities (flat screen TV, green eco-friendly toiletries, complimentary […] cont bkfst, local newspaper for a Doubledays recap).
