"Issues Every Day"
My first night I stayed, I came to find out the television was messed up. I quickly dismissed it because I didn't stay there to watch tv so I went to sleep. The next day I came to find out many of the outlets in the room did not work, which affected the lamp that was next to the bed. When I came back to the room the second day, I came to find out that […] my room key was deactivated. I asked a lady cleaning the room next to me if she could call someone to fix my issue and she politely apologized because she did not speak English and could not understand me. I was frustrated because it took 20 minutes to get my key reactivated. The couch had small holes in it. The water park wasn't too bad, since it was free. I spent some time in the lazy river and going down the 2 water slides in the outdoor pool. There also was a very decent outdoor patio that overlooked the pool. I checked into the Polynesian with my children for two nights while we were in the area visiting family. We got to the hotel early, so our room was not ready. We were able to access the waterpark area, and the kids enjoyed that (which is why I am giving an overall rating of 2 stars, as opposed to 1). We booked one night here because we decided to stay in the area an extra night and our hotel was booked. My family had fun playing at the waterpark here the afternoon we arrived. It wasn't crowded so no waiting to go down the slides. The whole place is showing its age, but it looks like there was a section of the waterpark that was more recently updated. "not deserving of the title "resort""
When we checked in and got our room key, we found that our room had not been cleaned. The bedding was in a pile on the floor, there was hair all over the sink, and the coffee machine was dirty. We walked back to the front desk (about a 10 minute walk due to the weird layout of the hotel) to request a different room and luckily, there was one left. The […] key card machine was broken so the receptionist (who looked as though she was going to break down and cry) got us a blank key card from a bin. She told us that if the key didn't work on the new room, to call the front desk and she would send security to let us in. We walked to our new room (another 10 minute walk) and found that the new key didn't work. We called the front desk a few times and no one answered so we began our 10 minute walk back to the front desk. When we got there, the lady was gone and we had to wait for her to come back. She called security for us and they showed up a few minutes later. While we waited, we asked if we could have some sort of discount for the trouble because at this point, it had been about an hour since we checked in and we still were not in our room. She started to cry in front of us as she said she'd see what she could do. When security met us at the desk, we began another 10 minute walk back to our room and we were let in. The room was okay. The beds were hard and creaky - they felt like cardboard boxes. One of the pillows looked as though it had mold or dirt on it. The TV was old and other channels were showing through the channel we were watching. The next morning upon checkout, we asked a different woman who was working the front desk about the discount we requested. She said the other woman didn't make any calls or even leave a note on the account. Thankfully, the new woman was able to give us a generous discount. She was told to just give a call when she woke up as long as it was before checkout time. So at 10AM she called to ask for late checkout and they were horribly rude to her. It soured our stay; we had reserved 6 rooms and wanted to keep one for the kids to stay a swim a little longer, they rudeness was uncalled for. "Nice Water Park and Decent Location"

Very disappointed in this hotel. The hours of the pool on the website were listed as opening at 8am. The water park was supposed to open at 9am. Neither opened until after 10 am. The indoor slides and lazy river never opened, I believe since the outside was opened (it was a "beautiful" cloudy 68 degree day); this is why the indoor park did not open […] till later, despite the frigid temps. When inquiring about pool hours at desk, the guy said hours had changed (signs posted on front desk that morning, not on website of course), and acted like it wasn't a big deal. Then grouchy woman next to him offered me 10 percent off because I was telling them I wouldn't have booked if I would have known the water park would never be opened. When I arrived at the hotel with my wife and 5yo daughter, there was a man urinating in the parking lot right next to a car in wide open. The hotel room was dirty, and the staff were not helpful. The next morning I walked out into the pool area around 8:30am and the doors locked behind me. I had to hop a fence and walk around the hotel to get back to […] the lobby. They gave us three keys for our room, and only one worked. The internet did not work anywhere in the hotel. I asked the manager to put a sign up on the door so that people will know that the pool doors lock behind you, and we stayed two more nights and nothing was done about it. The staff were not helpful, nor were they knowledgable about the area, or basic questions about the hotel itself. The few good things were that it is right off the freeway and easy to find, and there are multiple options of pools for kids of all ages, however, I will not be staying there again in the future.
