Dirty, unkept hotel whose only redeeming qualities are location and the fact that the beds were suprisingly comfy. However, the entire place was old, worn, dirty and just simply not nice. I was afraid to walk around or touch anything. The breakfast was average at best. The Park Inn Danube in Bratislava is the perfect location for touring the Old Town of Bratislava. It's only a short taxi ride from the airport (which costs no more than €20.00) and is conveniently located near St. Martin's Cathedral and the main business district. The location really is prime with this hotel. The hotel itself was better than expected, […] although one can see the age of the furnishings in the hotel. Some of the carpet and fixtures were worn and could be replaced or updated though none of this impacted the stay. It was better than most hotels I've seen in Europe and extremely reasonable for the rates and location. The facilities in the hotel were very good and the hotel staff were extremely helpful and spoke good English. If you are going to Bratislava, I would highly recommend the Park Inn Danube if you are looking for a mid-grade hotel. It was everything that I expected and perhaps some even more than that. The only downside was that some furnishings were worn and could be replaced or updated -- basically what once was a higher-grade hotel has now become a mid-grade one, in my opinion; but I have no qualms about recommending this hotel to visitors to Bratislava. First off the Hotel's location is premium. You can walk to everything within 3-5 min. If you like to gamble it's almost next door to Olympic Casino, if you like to dance and the nightlife, it has the best Disco in the city in the basement. The exterior is a lot nicer than the interior, the lobby and other areas are very modern, but the rooms and hallways were a bit shabby and really run down. The two areas of biggest concern were the carpets and the door locks/keys. The carpets had all these weird stains on them, and everywhere. some looked like coffee, some looked like bleach, some looked like blood, it was crazy. Literally I think to have that much of a problem they must have had a bad carpet cleaning service or machine come in and actually damage the carpets to make them look that bad. The other thing was the door/keys. Opening the door to our room took at a minimum 20 attempts, at a maximum 100 attempts. In my opinion the door lock mechanisms are worn out and defective. I thought, maybe I'm the only one, or maybe its this room, but then in the hallway on multiple occasions I saw guests going through the same thing trying to get there doors open...Then I read on here that other people have had the same problem, so it has to be a problem with the mechanisms they purchased. Also, avoid the breakfast, it's not bad, but it's not good, I ate it because it was included in the price, but if it would not have been then you would be getting ripped off. Also parking in the hotel garage is going to run you about 20 Euros a day, but that is actually about half the price of parking in another garage so not such bad deal, and the fact that the internet is free in the room kind of off-sets that cost. I stayed here 1 night, if you self drive, it's difficult to find with Sat Nav and the parking costs 27 Euro! But the main reasons for the bad review are: that the carpet was extremely stained (my local pub has a better carpet!), there was drilling until 9pm even though I asked for a quiet room. They gave me gone off milk 3 times with my coffees. I eventually […] ended up with an expresso. The room is baron, it has a chain on the door (that should tell you something) and there was just 1 lift that took forever to turn up and was then usually crammed full. There is no WiFi, the parking surcharge was approximately half of the room rate per night, and all but one of the elevators were out of order, including the one from the car park to reception. In my particular room, the bed was old and hard, and tilted to one side, meaning I constantly fought not to fall out of the bed. Whilst the hotel could do with a refurb the service made up for the overall tired state of the hotel. The rooms were clean and practical but very basic. The central location and ease of access also made up for the hotel condtion. Just don't expect a uk 4 star hotel (which we didn't for the price we paid) and one should be happy.

Hotel is in a great location, but our room was very basic. Although the price of the room was very reasonable, there is nothing much to recommend the hotel apart from that it is in a great location right by the historic centre. Rooms have a flat screen TV, safe and minibar, but nothing much else. No tea & coffee facilities in the room.

Great location right outside the main square in old town. Rooms very basic and could do with a revamp, stains on the carpet, safe was attached to a loose shelf, but generally clean room. Only downside is the noise from the night club in the basement which goes till early hours in the morning.

We really enjoyed our two day stay at the hotel. It was in a great location, close to the town hall and the port, and with a view of Bratislava Castle. The room was clean, there was English TV (Sky, CNN and BBC), and the internet worked well. Breakfast was really good. Would definitely recommend this hotel. It was good value.

Der Aufenthalt war OK, die Lage des Hotels ist super, man erreicht alles zu Fuss (Altstadt, Neustadt, Sehenswürdigkeiten, diverse Einkaufscenter, Restaurants...). Leider war die Benutzung des Pools/Fitnesscenter im Preis nicht inbegriffen.

Wunderschönes Hotel in der Nähe der Donau. Direkt in der Innenstadt. Ideal für einen Kurzurlaub. Einkaufszentrum, Innenstadt und Burg in ein paar Minuten zu Fuss zu erreichen. Im gleichen Komplex wäre noch ein Spa/Fitnesscenter was wir leider zetlich nicht nutzen konnten.

It was obvious that the staff was trying to make a typical continental breakfast, with bacon, scramble eggs etc. The bacon seemed more like beef jerky than bacon, and the smell from the scrambled eggs was not good. The hotel was very cheap, so I guess one can’t complain too much, but it’s definitely not a four star hotel.
