Love the location, the lake view is breath taking, very close to the city centre. Only suggestion, is that it would be nice to have bellboys or personnel to help with luggage to and from your room. WOW - the view of Lac d'Annecy is spectacular from a lakeside room. One really goes to Annecy for it's majestic qualities anyway! Make sure you book a lake view room, it is worth the extra. The room was very nicely and newly furnished. WiFi in the room was hit and miss but fine elsewhere in the hotel. This splendid hotel is the first French hotel that I have stayed in to compare with the best Spanish Paradores - It has a consistent decor, fine location and splendid views with a level of service which is rare in France. My only criticism is that there was a poker event in the cassino at the time of my stay. The participants hung around immediately outside the foyer and entrance which stank of cigarette smoke and was full of cigarette butts and gum stains. Great hotel, one where the experience is better than the pictures. The hotel is on a small promontory straight on to Lake Annecy, there is a public beach nearby and some lovely gardens. The hotel is some distance from the picturesque part of Annecy, so takes 10-15 minutes to walk in, but this is no hardship as the walk is along the side of the lake […] on a good path (wheelchair friendly). There are a couple of downsides - the garden to the right of the hotel looked more like a fallow veg patch and the casino is more of a slot machine type casino, but it has it's own entrance and doesn't detract. Expensive, but excellent room with a small balcony and a super view of the lake and mountains. Dinner was a pleasant experience with attentive service and the breakfast buffet had an excellent range of food. both hot and cold. The only downside for some people is that it is about 1 km from the centre of activities.

Male staff member with rolled up long sleeved shirt. Suggest that the casino end of things be SERIOUSLY UPGRADED or you run the risk of the reputation of this fine venue and staff being impugned. We spent 2 nights at L'Imperial Palace and had had a very lovely stay. The hotel is perched on Lake Annecy, a short stroll from the beach. In warm summer weather, it couldn't be better. It's a bit of a walk to the old town, but mostly along the lake. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was very big for French standards and very clean.

We had three fabulous days at this hotel. The food was great, the rooms supremely comfortable and well kept and the staff helpful and warm in their manner. It's location on Lake Annecy meant easy and quick access to wonderful swimming in some of the cleanest and sweetest waters I've ever had the pleasure to experience. The food at the hotel was also […] of a very high standard - from the eveing meal, breakfast in your room, breakfast in the dining room/terrace, through afternoon tea or a glass of wine with olives and peanuts - and warranted the hotel/restauarant's Gault Millaut entry. All this made the fact that the food was not cheap worth it, though it may put some people off that breakfast is not included in the room price. If you can afford it though - go for it. You might also want to go for a wonderful meal at the Michelin starred La Ciboulette restarant in the town - a fantastic experience. you then walk back along the lake shore to the comfort of the hotel fully sated in every sense. The one thing that I really didnt not like was the constant presence of a number of sparrows around the restaurant terrace, they were a nuisance and this was not at all helped by the few fellow guests who treated them as pests. I don't normally bother with reviews because they are often biased by unreliastic expectations but this this hotel warrants an exception. Having been fortunate enough to have stayed in some prestigious hotels around the world, for the price we paid, this ranked among the best. Having recently been renovated the hotel is in excellent condition inside […] and out and the rooms are particularly well appointed. I just can't understand anyone criticising this place for any reason at all. Take just this one example. There is nothing more irritating than arriving at a supposedly luxury hotel to find no complimentary tea and coffee facilities and you've got to phone and beg some surly idiot to bring you something to drink, that is invariably tepid at best by the time it arrives. Not here! Even the mini bar was free - no kidding! No alcoholic stuff in their but anything else you could possibly want to quench your thirst. We didn't eat in the hotel only because we wanted to see the old town in the evening but the restaurants looked on par with the rest if the hotel. No trying to spiv even more money out of the guest by charging for parking or anything like that either. Some of the other chains could learn a lot from whoever runs this place. Fantastic. Read more

Très bel hôtel, situation idéale pour se promener le long du lac et se rendre dans le vieux Annecy (environ 15 minutes à pied). Les petits bémols, à notre arrivée pas de proposition de bagagiste, emplacement parking réservé aux clients un peu juste. En ce qui concerne la chambre la télé est petite en proportion de la pièce, sinon la chambre était parfaite […] et les petites attentions que nous trouvions le soir à notre retour de promenades étaient très agréables (bouquet de fleurs, rose, lit découvert et petits produits de soins dans la salle de bain) et cerise sur le gâteau une vue sublime sur le lac. Pour le restaurant La Voile, bon accueil, service impeccable et prix correct et de nouveau un cadre idyllique vue sur le parc et le lac. Pour finir le petit déjeuner est cher, dommage. Read more
