Incredible! Fantastic energy at the Daintree Eco Lodge. The property, the staff, the food, the sounds all contributed to the deep relaxation and peacefulness of the Daintree. The Spa was epic as the Butterfly treatment was heaven on earth. Thanks to Nat, Linda, Lisa and everyone else who made the stay well worth the trip north. Thank you!

The Daintree Eco Lodge is a boutique, secluded destination in the mostly remote Daintree rainforest area about 1.5-2 hours drive north of the popular tourist town of Cairns. Having never been to Australia I didn't know what to expect. The Eco Lodge certainly lives up to its image as a lovely and unique set of "treehouses" nestled right in the rainforest […] and the little lodge restaurant which features some indigenous plants and flavors is excellent. I'm not sure how many treehouses there are, but I believe fewer than 20. Because of its remote location, the Eco Lodge has to charge a premium price (see rates) and its staffing is limited. I say this because I asked for a blanket about 7pm and no one ever called me back. I believe most of the staff leave at 7pm, so this is potentially a concern if you have a medical emergency. On the other hand, if you want to experience the rainforest or do some birding without really roughing it, this place is *it*. (And seriously, while I have done lots of camping in remote areas all over the world, I would not recommend roughing it here because the rainforest is also wonderfully home to a number of creatures you will not see anywhere else in Australia (or the world), but their presence is also incompatible with human safety and comfort (e.g., crocs, mosquitoes, and casowaries, to name a few). In summary, if you want a totally unique experience, the Eco Lodge is wonderful; however, note cost and remoteness in your consideration. Read more

I really enjoyed my one too short night stay in this relaxing and rejuvinating place. The setting, the staff and accomodation make it a placeI I will be coming back to for a longer stay. A nice warm welcome, happy hour to meet other guests and find out what they have done and see, makes it very comfortable.

Whilst the location and the surrounds make this an excellent choice. Given the location of the resort it is very easy to dine in at their restaurant, this however is a bad choice as service during our short stay was something you would expect to see on a Faulty towers episode.
