"This Hotel is in the right spot..."
SpringHill Suites are located in the right spot. I say this because the hotel is centrally located to many restaurants, shopping options and easy access to major highways - 35 & 80. I ended up staying there for one night - new year's eve 2011 - so, drink & driving wasn't an option. Although I was in Des Moines to meet friends - I live in Minneapolis […] - even my most directional challenged friends could/can find this Hotel. The service was excellent - Thanks Tyler (last name unknown) - who checked me in and signed me up for their "rewards" program - for being attentive to my needs and the safety of others. Safety of others? I need some ice and the ice machine floor was covered in water. Called Tyler, within minutes...safety signs were in place to warn others. Why is this a big deal? I almost fell because the water/lighting combo made it hard to see. The hotel was busier than normal (or so I assume because of New Year's Eve) - and tons of kids running means injury or harm is highly possible. My only complaint - is trivial - I just didn't like the layout of the suite (207)...it's a visual thing "feng shui" thing...but seriously, this hotel is in the right spot at the right price for a last minute deal. I'd go back there again. If all the employees are as helpful as Tyler...I would stay there everytime/anytime I'm in the Des Moines area. Read more
"Comfortable stay"
Enjoyed the room and the free breakfast with our family, just wish it was within walking distance of Jordan Creek mall.
Room and hotel was fine. A bit disappointed that reservation request for adjoining rooms could not be honored, given 2 rooms were prepaid six weeks in advance. The term 'suite' suggested more room when the pullout bed was extended. Will definitely request two queen beds next time.

Very nice. Good breakfast. Staff was nice. Rooms nice. Pool is a bit small if you have children and want lots of swimming room. We would recommend it.

"Outstanding"
For the price we paid this hotel was wonderful. It was the first of 4 hotels we stayed at on a road trip and the best one by far. The room was immaculate, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet. It was a great value.
