Location was very good as it is close to Nanjing Rd and lots of shops. You can even walk all the way to the Bund. Plus after a tiring day out sightseeing, there is a famous sky bar to relax and chill plus a romantic revolving restaurant where you can have an overview of Shanghai from the 45th floor. Very romantic and beautiful at night with the lights lit up. The food was suprisingly good and was definately enjoyable. It was unquie experience. The room was cosy and clean. All in all, met expectations and had a pleasant stay. Would definately recomend visitors with family or couples.

I come to Shanghai several times a year. Tried several other five start hotels nearby, Radisson Shanghai New World is my favorite. It is not too big to find a door in and out. It is conveniently located right on the busiest street in Shanghai, everything is close. The service is wonderful. First few times, they did not know that I have been stayed with them many times. Once they corrected their records, everytime I come back, they would bring me fruit basket, welcome card making you feel good and like home. Now they even toss in free internet connection. ...

This landmark hotel is easy to spot with its Spaceship top floor. It was affordable luxury, with great views from our 31st floor room. We asked for a room overlooking Pudong, and the view over Nanjing road at night towards the Oriental Pearl were spectacular. There were so many blinking lights we needed to close the curtains to get any sleep! The bar upstairs was even more spectacular. We had two children with us, and they loved its comfort - and especially the lovely warm swimming pool. Other activities such as snooker and virtual golf are available, but are charged at relatively hefty fees. We loved the location - especially being near the local restaurants in Huanghe Lu. Yangs Fried Dumplings are a great example of Shanghai's favourite dish. The tourist train on Nanjing Lu was good fun. We caught it down to the Bund.

In terms of comfort and cleanliness the hotel was excellent. In terms of shortcomings, the Internet signal at times was weak (I am a power user.), the drinks were a little expensive, the coffee in the lobby bar was aweful, and the consierge's restaurant recommendation was iffy. For coffee their is a quality American owned shop a few doors to the right of the hotel. The lunch buffet at Windows in the hotel was solid and quite pleasant. For excellent Peking duck walk two blocks down the pedestrian NanJing Liu and look for the electrified duck sign, and for a world-class restrauant try Lynn.

My second stay at this hotel. Excellent for business visits, because it is immediately across the street from People's Square subway stop. Traffic is so bad in Shanghai that it pays to take the subway. And as of this week, they have added a bunch more subway lines and stations, making it even more compelling. People's Square station is central in the city, so pretty easy to get to other locations. I even go to the airport from the subway (subway to LongYang Road, then take the MagLev train to the airport). I had a meeting this trip at the airport. I took the subway/train, even though people said I was crazy. I got there right on time. My local Shanghai contacts were 30 min late, stuck in traffic. The Radisson is a good hotel - I got a great room that was actually a suite. A front room with a full desk, a flat-screen TV and room to set up ironing board. Bedroom with king bed was great, with another flat-screen TV. Bathroom was also great. Nice granite with all glass walls separating toilet, shower and jacuzzi tub. One reason I like this hotel is because the gym is pretty good. I'm a competitive athlete, so fairly picky about health clubs. The gym is small, but enough equipment you can actually get a reasonable weight workout (both free weights and a smith-machine). Also plenty of cardio machines that are in good shape. And the pool is actually big enough for lap swimming, which is pretty rare in a hotel.

This is a great hotel, the location is perfect to explore the nanjing road and the bund. Prices in the hotel are more expensive, but just outside the hotel are multiple places to eat for cheaper if that is what you prefer. Our room was excellent and on the 22nd floor (about half way up) and the view from the bar at the top of the hotel was impressive. Also very good for ensuring you don't get lost when walking around the city!! The Swimming pool, gym and sauna facilities are also everything that you would expect from this hotel. I was very impressed with the Radisson hotel. The location was superb (at the beginning of the shopping area). The service could not be faulted. The staff were really helpful. My only complaint would be the fact that women did not have access to a jacuzzi but the service was available to men. I would definitely recommend the Radisson and would certainly stay in other Radisson hotels. Thanks for making the stay memorable.
