Lovely old, but updated inn. Staff all extremely helpful. Lots of common spaces to relax in as well as seating outside. Our room was large, charming, quiet, and comfortable. Staff was very accomodating and friendly. Loved the elegant feel of the hotel. It is an older hotel from the times when rooms and bathrooms were smaller but we expected that and it was part of the charm. Our stay was excellent. The only complaint is an old bar of soap was left in our shower. The entire bathroom, however, was clean. The wait staff in the restaurant was great.

Positive thing first "beautiful lobby". Now for the negatives..overpriced, rooms are extremely small and the bathroom was the size of a closet and not very clean. Hair and dust on the floor behind the toilet and there is no place to put your toiletries. TWI has a gentile seediness to it. It's main appeal is its excellent location at the center of beautiful Easton. Service is marginal, rooms are small, and the cost is very high for what you get. Unfortunately, the internet never worked in our room and the mattress was horrible. The Tidewater Inn is a great place to stay. Cannot say enought good things about it: the rooms are incredibly comfortable, including the beds and pillows, all down. The baths while small, accomplish their mission, save for the "low flow" shower head. :-( Had some problems with the Cable TV system: the available channel guide needs some updating but […] we were able to find GoodMorningAmerica without too much difficulty. Always nice to find a gem of a hotel that is away from the big "soul-less" commercial strips. Though only there one night I found the hotel to be exactly what I was looking for. Excellent stay with a friendly helpfull staff. Clean and quiet with plenty of comfort. Nice for couples. Will stay again and close to everything. Only beef is the extra 12 bucks they charge for parking. It should be free for the cost of the room.

We needed a hotel at the last minute and it seemed like the Tidewater was the only one whose doors didn't open directly to the outside. Always a plus, even in a small town. Coupled with the great location--right within walking distance of local eats and businesses--this made for a pleasant short stay.

WE WERE VERY UNHAPPY THAT WE WERE NOT TOLD THAT THE PET FEE WOULD BE $50.00 PER DOG. WE FELT THAT THIS WAS TO DISCOURAGE PEOPLE FROM BRINGING THEIR PETS. WE HAVE STAYED IN MANY HOTELS ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND ALSO GOING SOUTH AND THE MOST WE HAVE EVER BEEN CHARGED WAS $40 FOR BOTH PETS. SORRY FOR THIS.

Wonderful neighborhood surrounding the Tidewater. Easy walking distance to restaurants, shops and theater offerings. Beautiful residential area nearby. Just a 10 mile drive to St.Michael's. The hotel itself is has a gracious old-world feel. Our Queen suite was spacious and very comfortable.

Hotel was comfortable but our room was very small and the bathroom was extremely small. The water was a rusty brown when we first turned on the faucets, but cleared after the water ran for a few minutes. There was a wedding at the hotel so the resturant didn't have seating for us for dinner. We would stay again but would make sure there wasn't a wedding […] planned for that weekend. Booked this as a splurge for twenty sixth Anniversary. Location is perfect; able to walk to wonderful restaurants, shops and entertainment. Old world beauty, size of room=to an Inn vs. chain hotel; tiled bathroom. Not huge, but characteristic and appropriate of an old fashion inn, not at all unpleasant. Bathrobes in the room, great toiletry amenities. Bed […] was like sleeping on a cloud. Valet parking charge reasonable, could come and go without recharge. Did not use restaurant, can't comment, great menu posted. Staff very helpful, smiling and pleasant. A valet was gracious enough to walk outside and give directions. Wonderful place to stay in the hart of Eadton. Walking in the town and shopping is Great! Check out Scossa Retaurant the BEST place I have every eaten. We drive 3 hours to stay at the Tidewater and eat at Scossa.
