Tired room, small uncomfortable bed. Bathroom needed a good scrubbing and it would have been nice if the tub/shower drained. HVAC didn't work well

Exterior, lobby, restaurant very well maintained and clean what you would expect of a nice Inn.The hotel is easy to locate in the center of old town Easton and has a large free parking behind the hotel with back door access.Negative points were the small rooms what we kind of expected since it's an old building. The other negative for me was the dated bathroom. The bathroom could use some upgrades. The room was clean, had all the amenities. There was no fridge. We tried the restaurant called The Hunter and the food was great. They also have a nice bar area. We had a small dog with us and the hotel is pet-friendly.

Needed a nice hotel for stopover in Easton. The historic Tidewater Inn offered very comfortable accommodations at same rate as typical chain lodging. The facilities retained their 50s charm & feel without seeming outdated. Outdoor patio off restaurant was perfect for dinner on a warm evening.

Very friendly service folks ; but the rooms are really disappointing . windows which would not latch shut; furnishings which are dated and piecemeal ; and a bathroom right out of the 1960's, with a shower head that sprayed water at the 6'6'' mark on the side of the stall. While we used the valet service, we found it parked on the street later on , in a No Parking area.

With out-of-town French cousins, we wanted to show them a bit of American history, thus this choice. The small bathrooms are perfectly adequate even in spite of very noisy toilet flushing! The personnel was cordial. Something could be done about the breakfast procedure. Even the most modest hotels do not charge you for coffee or tea! Perhaps an appealing, self-serve buffet like some budget hotels could be an option. I really do not think anyone would object and one does not have to wait to be served!. Over all, I really like the Tidewater and will return.

The property is clean, comfortable and attractive. There is no place like home, but the Tidewater comes close!

We were impressed immediately by the friendly, helpful staff at the Tidewater Inn. The hotel is a classic beauty, and we loved roaming through the first floor public spaces, one nicer than the next. Our room was clean and elegantly decorated. We enjoyed a delicious meal that evening in the on-site restaurant where we enjoyed a 5 star dinner at a surprisingly reasonable price. Historic Easton was a pleasure to stroll around after dinner and early the next day, a very attractive and quaint neighborhood with lots of eateries, shops, galleries, and parks for visitors to explore and enjoy. We will definitely visit Easton again and most certainly stay at The Tidewater Inn!

Good things: they removed the parking fee and have complimentary valet, the food is amazing, the pillows and bed were very comfortable and the staff was responsive to my needs. Bad things: there was a loud, yappy dog that clawed, whimpered and scraped at the door all night in the room next to us and there were no other rooms to move to. The staff did, however, call the owners and ask them to do something about that. There was a very loud wedding as well. The shower was antiquated and small and the water didn't get very hot. Overall: we would probably stay there again.

This is an older hotel. It is located nicely right in downtown Easton. That being said, for $200 a night in Easton, MD I was expecting to be wowed and was not at all. As it's an older hotel I'm not going to say anything too negative about the extremely small room and bathroom, although, I feel space could be used more efficiently. The staff was very pleasant at check in, but throughout the stay it seemed that two people behind the desk were only capable of attending to one guest at a time? Parking is not sufficient - there is a small lot (they call it three lots) behind the hotel for hotel guests - we were ok, but just barely as the lot was almost filled, and if there was a wedding or event going on we would have been out of luck and had to resort to street parking or a metered lot. Peeling paint and shutters falling off the building outside. One elevator. No coffee in room or even in lobby - have to buy from overpriced (for Easton) hotel restaurant. Only towel bar is inside shower? Come-on!! No tv guide and no on screen menu. Top of dresser was covered in dust. Dirty walls and trim inside room - made us wonder about how clean the important thing were, like sheets, towels, toilet,....etc. Dated decor. Couldn't get wi-fi reception in room on upper floor. No comfy reading chair in room - just a desk chair. Weak water pressure in shower. Stay at one of the budget hotels on Rt 50 and save yourselves $100, plus get a free breakfast and coffee machine.

I have 3 very minor recommendations for the Tidewater Inn. They serve coffee in the lobby but my husband is a tea drinker. It would be good if they added tea to the morning refreshment table. Our walk in closet was extremely dark. They should install battery powered light bulbs so you can see in the closet. The dresser only has 2 tiny drawers so we have to live out of a suitcase when we stay there. They should get one more small dresser to provide space to unpack. Overall, the staff is congenial, the area is most convenient, the restaurant is good quality and value. We stayed there last September and loved it. We will definitely go there again and again. We highly recommend it.

The rooms were quaint- we had a 2 queen room with 2 bathrooms, which was a plus. The downside was that the furniture was dusty, so we had to clean the tables and desk and remote before sitting down. Not worth the high price tag. Dated furniture, water stains on ceiling. There was a wedding during our stay, our room sounded like a nightclub. Drunk wedding guests partied in the hallway throughout the night until 4:30. The hotel made it right and comped the room, but i would rather have had a good nights sleep.

This is a hotel that was built in the 1940s so the rooms and bathrooms are smaller than one might expect in a large luxury chain hotel. Nevertheless everything was very luxurious, the staff was very attentive. We had a drink in the bar, my husband ordered a scotch which turned out to cost $25! He did say it was very good. We did not eat in the restaurant, there are plenty of places to choose from nearby.

This is an elegant, older hotel that has been updated and retains its old charm. There are seating areas both inside and outside the hotel that are comfortable. The front staircase is beautiful. The hotel is located in town, with easy walking to all the restaurants and shops. The only thing we were disappointed with was the fact that the front desk staff (probably management) was not accommodating to guests. I sent an e mail one week before with a request and they ignored the e mail. Some of the guests were running in a race the next morning and had to be up and out quite early, but the hotel made no attempt to help out with earlier breakfast or even a bag to go, so runners had to do without.

Beautiful hotel with excellent dining. Only downside was parking at the Tidewater. Upon checking in, I was given a parking pass and informed to park my vehicle in their parking lot located behind the hotel. Returning back to the hotel after visiting nearby St. Michaels, there were no available spots in the hotel's parking lot. I noticed there was a wedding reception taking place at the hotel this same night. I went around to the front of the hotel again, to inquire exactly where I should park my vehicle. I was told by a hotel employee at the front desk to try to park any where I could find a spot in the town because at that current time there were no parking restrictions. I had already been inconvenienced by trying to find a parking spot in the hotel's parking lot that was not available and not receiving any warning by the hotel that this would occur. Not wanting to deal with the parking issue during my vacation, I requested my car be valeted.

The hotel is one of our favorites. The restaurant, Hunter's Tavern, creates some of the most delicious dishes ever. The front desk staff is friendly and the hotel is always clean and comfortable. Parking is a little tight, and we felt a little weary walking more than a few blocks away from the hotel. They are pet friendly which is becoming more important to guests that travel with those "family members".

Lovely old, but updated inn. Staff all extremely helpful. Lots of common spaces to relax in as well as seating outside. Our room was large, charming, quiet, and comfortable. The hotel is in the older section of town so we could wander and explore all the lovely architecture. We found the restaurant somewhat pricey, so we ate at Mason's down the street, which was excellent. Yes, we would stay there again!

Staff was very accomodating and friendly. Loved the elegant feel of the hotel. It is an older hotel from the times when rooms and bathrooms were smaller but we expected that and it was part of the charm. Only minor issue was that there was a wedding (which is common at this hotel) and we were on the floor where many of the wedding party stayed so it was quite loud at times. Other than that it was great. Located right in the middle of town so we could walk to all shops, bars, restaurants, galleries.

The Inn has done a good job making small rooms comfortable and up-to-date. Bed is comfortable, rooms are quiet, lobby area is very nice, fantastic location. The restaurant in the Inn is really good and appropriately priced. I'd stay here again.

Our stay was excellent. The only complaint is an old bar of soap was left in our shower. The entire bathroom, however, was clean. The wait staff in the restaurant was great.

The hotel was outstanding, the staff very friendly, but the town of Easton, Md. was the true bright spot. Such a nice town with everything within walking distance.

Positive thing first "beautiful lobby". Now for the negatives..overpriced, rooms are extremely small and the bathroom was the size of a closet and not very clean. Hair and dust on the floor behind the toilet and there is no place to put your toiletries. The room was very warm and there is no way to adjust the air conditioner, the thermostat appears to be in a locked position. It was very noisy at night and the walls must be paper thin because you can hear the conversation going on in the next room. Charming hotel but would not stay there again.

The virtual tour doesn't give it justice. The place is in an ideal location, the staff was friendly, the bed was super comfy. We highly recommend it.

This hotel was built a ways back I can tell, but it has kept up on renovation for sure. They sport real comfortable rooms, somewhat smaller bathrooms, but definitely a repeat customer. Peppered by the best restaurants in town, and if you stay here make 100% sure you check out The BBQ Joint just down the street from the hotel. I usually eat there every night because it's simply amazing. One of my favorite Hotels here.

TWI has a gentile seediness to it. It's main appeal is its excellent location at the center of beautiful Easton. Service is marginal, rooms are small, and the cost is very high for what you get. There are several restaurants nearby that are much better than the hotel,. With all that said, I'd probably stay there again just for the location. For that they have no competition at all.
