Slow Internet that did not work half of the time
The hotel is nice. The room was nice and with a modern look but a bit on the small side. Like some other hotels they hiked up the price over the new year 2016 weekend and it was definitely not worth that price we paid. The mattress was comfortable but the pillows were extremely extremely thin and provided absolutely no support. The WiFi Internet did not work half of the time. When it did work it was extremely slow and painful to use even for browsing. It was impossible to stream Netflix or any other streaming service, which would have been nice considering that all of the TV channels (except BBC News) were in German.

Great business hotel
This is a business trip where location is important, close to the business. This is a clean, convenient and well priced hotel. Many restaurants close by and supermarket next door. Unlimited shopping along Frirdrichstrasse. Fine breakfast. Make sure you get a room off the street.

Good location/may find minor problem
PRO: - Close to many bars and restaurant - Close to all public transportation - Walking distance to all tourist area - Easy check-in CON: - Has free wifi, but connection/signal, and speed is extremely slow. It's like having no wifi. - AC in the room broke after the second day. We inquired, but was not fixed before we left. - Room was clean, but there was a mildew smell. - Night staff was there on and off. We would return to the hotel to find a sign saying he/she would return in a few minutes. Happened on multiple nights. One night, the approximate wait was 10 minutes (ordered food down the street, came back an the staff just arrived in time to open the door). No other entrance in.

2 stars max
I stayed in 3 other Ramadas on this European trip. This one doesn't come close to them, even though it is more expensive than some of them. The 3-day stay in August 2015 was a series of disappointments, but let me start with positives: the staff speaks English, breakfast food was adequate, and both elevators worked. Now the cons. 1.There were black spots on the carpet that looked like dirt throughout the room. We requested another room, but the carpet looked the same. The staff told us those were results of "carpet cleaning". 2.There was no space for 2 small suitcases in the room. We asked for a bulky chair to be removed to make space on the floor, and it had taken them 20 hours. 3.There was no advertised coffee maker in the room. We have got it 48 hours later after 3 reminders. They said none was available(?) 4.WiFi login is slower than dial-up. It took 10-15 min of a blank screen each time you log in. And you do need to re-login every 24 hours. 5.No restaurant for dinner. The cafeteria menu is very limited. 6.The staff brushes off any issue and does not attempt to fix anything. 7.Air conditioning did not work in the entire building on August 7 (Friday) when the outside temperature was 99 degrees. 8.There is a serious long term road construction going on in front of the hotel. It is very noisy on week days.

Ramada in name only
This place didn't resemble a Ramada hotel in any recognizable way. The location is pretty good (2 minute walk to U-Bahn). The room was typically European in size (small). I had to book two rooms for my family of four. The bathroom was "ultra modern" in style - lots of glass... I found it to be annoying. The free internet was about as slow as a 300-baud modem (for those who remember the "baud" days); don't bother trying to use it. On the plus side, there is a supermarket right next door with a compete assortment of any food items that you might want (don't buy their overpriced goodies from the minibar. I doubt I will ever stay in this place again. Berlin has plenty of hotel option; I see no reason to return to this place.
